Magical Cat

Chapter 77 Spiritual Energy Body Tempering

When Li En opened his eyes again, he saw Elaine and Melina's worried expressions.

"Li En, you're awake!"

With red eyes, Elaine felt a little relieved when she saw Lee open his eyes.

Li En's mind was a little fuzzy. After a moment, he remembered what had happened before he fainted.

Melina took him back to Elaine's dormitory.

At first, Melina thought that Li En was about to evolve.

Although this is illogical, Melina felt that nothing was impossible when it came to Lee En.

Elaine was hurriedly woken from her sleep by Melina, and then she saw the dying Lee.

Elaine panicked and unconsciously followed Melina's instructions to help Lee.

However, it turned out that Li En did not evolve. Even when Melina replenished his mana through meditation, it only slightly alleviated the pain in Li En's body.

After tossing and turning for most of the night, Li En's persistent pain gradually subsided just as dawn was breaking.

As the pain subsided, Li Encai relaxed and, without saying a word, fell into a deep sleep.

Melina examined him and found nothing wrong; in fact, his body had become unusually strong and powerful.

This level of transformation is not even considered evolution.

Although Melina was confused, she knew that Lee was alright.

Even so, Elaine and Melina both took leave to stay and take care of Lee Eun.

They simply couldn't rest easy until they saw Li En wake up safely with their own eyes.

Now that Li En has woken up, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

"Li En, I thought you were going to die!"

Elaine picked up Lee and burst into tears, releasing all the worries she had felt all night.

Li En meowed twice in response to Elaine.

He could no longer feel any pain; on the contrary, his physical condition was better than ever before, as if he had been completely rejuvenated.

"What am I doing...?"

Li En remembered that he had completed the mission, not only gaining new skills but also triggering some hidden bond.

He used to be a pro at ARAM (All Random All Mid) mode, so he naturally knew what bonds were.

Li En was held in Elaine's arms, but her mind was quietly absorbed into the control panel.

[Talent: Skill Certification]

Passive Skills: Magic Perception (Gold), Psionic Body Tempering (Silver)

[Active Skill: Eye of Quantification (Silver)]

[Special: Dragon Lord's Heart-to-Heart Contract (Silver)]

[Synergy: Archmage (2/4): Spell cost halved.]

"I've gained a new Silver-tier passive skill called 'Psionic Body Forging,' and the stats on my panel have also been updated with new synergy information, plus it even showed me the effects!"

Li En was overjoyed.

"Half the cost of spellcasting, isn't that awesome!"

Li En wanted to find a place immediately to test the effect.

But Elaine was currently very emotional, so he had no choice but to hold back for the time being.

He was also very curious about the effects of the new passive skill.

Li En looked down at his paws and felt that they seemed to have grown bigger. He gently squeezed them and found they were full of power.

At this moment, Melina, who was standing nearby, asked curiously, "Li En, what's wrong with you?"

"I've become stronger!" Li En answered simply and clearly.

"Is this change your talent?" Melina's eyes lit up with excitement.

"I think so."

Although Li En knew exactly what was going on, he didn't intend to go into details.

It is foreseeable that he will acquire more and more new skills and bonds in the future. If it is only explained by talent, many people will probably not be able to accept it.

Instead of doing that, why not secretly expand your skill set and then suddenly amaze everyone?

Thinking of the bright future, Li En couldn't help but grin and chuckle to herself.

(=^ω^=)

Elaine was too busy hugging and crying with Lee to notice.

Melina, however, took in Li En's adorable, secretly amused expression.

"It seems like everything's really alright now."

……

After calming Elaine down, they went to Melina's basement.

Since Elaine and Melina both took the day off, it's good that we don't waste any time.

They came here together, at Li En's request, to see what changes had occurred in his abilities.

Li En didn't rush to cast a spell, but instead stretched out first.

He had looked in the mirror in Elaine's dorm room and noticed that he had gotten a lot bigger.

Previously, Li En stood perfectly on Elaine's shoulders, and Elaine couldn't feel any weight at all.

But things are different now. Li En can no longer stand on Elaine's shoulders; at most, she's just wrapped around Elaine's neck like a scarf.

And he was heavier than before, so it wasn't as easy for Elaine to hold him anymore.

"How did you gain so much weight all of a sudden!"

Elaine was annoyed by Li En's sudden growth and could only pat Li En's bottom to vent her frustration.

Elaine quite liked having Lee En stand on her shoulders and taking her everywhere she went.

Now it seems that doing this is already quite difficult.

After adapting to the new physical intensity, Li En slowly started running around the basement. His speed increased, and soon he was leaving a blur in his wake.

"Although cats are naturally fast, Li En's speed seems a bit off," Elaine said in surprise.

Melina, standing to the side, nodded silently.

Most magical beasts rarely possess both physical strength and combat capabilities.

Whether it's Luna or Phoebe as an apostle, they mainly rely on magical power to fight.

But Lee Eun has clearly taken a different path now.

Melina has been an adventurer before and has seen those magical beasts in the wild.

Li En's current speed is almost the same as that of wild cat-like magical beasts.

"The melee abilities of monsters, combined with magic..."

Melina was suddenly struck by the realization that Li En was already developing into the most troublesome all-around magical beast in the wild.

What mages fear most is not magical clashes, but melee harassment.

Once someone gets close, aside from a few spells that can be cast quickly, almost any spell that involves chanting can be interrupted.

When you encounter an experienced opponent, they might even prevent you from casting a single spell.

"What will Weber do if he finds out he gave up such a magical beast?"

As a teacher, Melina couldn't help but worry about her students.

If a student you teach becomes depressed, it's a very troublesome thing for the teacher.

But running in circles was just the appetizer for Li En.

After he gradually adapted to his current speed and strength, he launched an attack on the target in the basement.

Li En didn't know any special moves; he just swung his claws instinctively.

The target was covered with clear scratch marks, which quickly became crisscrossed.

"Wow, the power seems pretty good."

Li En was delighted, as he was the one directly involved and could feel the force on his claws most directly.

He felt confident that as long as his opponent wasn't wearing armor or other highly defensive clothing, he could easily tear their skin open.

Although Li En's claws are not large, they are quite lethal thanks to their speed and strength.

"Psionic Body Tempering, this passive skill has transformed me from a pure mage into a warrior who is proficient in both magic and martial arts."
