Sun Liqiang's men quickly surrounded him. A burly man with a scar on his face was the first to make a move, swinging a wooden stick at Kong Zheng's shoulder.

Kong Zheng dodged to the side, and the wooden stick grazed his sleeve and hit the edge of the altar, scattering offerings all over the ground.

Another person rushed towards Yun Ziang from the side and behind. Yun Ziang held Xiao Jin in one arm and raised his other arm to block the attack. He was hit on the back and staggered. He then protected Xiao Jin even more tightly.

"Don't do anything rash! We're not accomplices!" he shouted, but his voice was quickly drowned out by the chaotic shouts and curses.

He fought and retreated, but his hands were held down by two people, making it impossible for him to move.

Sun Liqiang hid in the back, his eyes bloodshot and screaming:

"Kill them! Especially that little brat!! Capture her first!"

As he spoke, he rushed towards Xiao Jin and reached out to snatch Xiao Jin from Yun Zi'ang's arms.

Xiao Jin didn't dodge.

She saw a very faint figure drift over from the edge of the Locked Dragon Well behind Sun Liqiang.

The figure was almost transparent in the twilight, with disheveled hair and a face full of deathly hatred.

It was Xie Luxue.

She sped through the crowd and lunged at a young man who was reaching out to grab Xiao Jin.

The man froze, his eyes changed instantly, and he turned and lunged at Sun Liqiang.

The people around were caught off guard and watched as the young man, as if he had become a different person, made strange hoarse noises in his throat, grabbed Sun Liqiang by the neck, and pressed him onto the yellow cloth in front of the altar.

"Sister! No!" Xiao Jin cried out.

Xie Luxue looked directly into Xiao Jin through the man's eyes, her voice hoarse: "Don't worry about it."

Her gaze fell on Sun Liqiang's flushed face, and her words were chilling: "You killed me, and you also ran over my grandparents."

"It's time to pay it back today."

She tightened her grip on the young man's hand, and Sun Liqiang's face turned from red to purple, with intermittent gasps escaping his throat.

Kong Zheng's expression changed, and he immediately realized that the man was possessed by a vengeful ghost.

"Help, help me!" Sun Li forced out his voice for help, his hands grabbing haphazardly on the offering table, trying to grab some weapon to fight back.

The subordinate found a hard object, picked it up, and smashed it down on the man's head.

It was a ceremonial bell.

The bell struck the man's forehead, producing a low chime.

Xie Luxue trembled and her movements faltered for a moment.

The people nearby took the opportunity to drag Sun Liqiang out.

Sun Liqiang collapsed to the ground, clutching his throat and coughing violently, his eyes filled with terror. "You...you're Xie Luxue...a ghost!"

The scene fell silent instantly, and everyone turned to look at Sun Liqiang.

In the chaos, a bold middle-aged man saw the exorcising willow branches placed on the altar, grabbed them, and lashed them hard at the possessed young man.

The willow branch lashed the man's back with a whoosh of the wind. A thin flash of light appeared, and Xie Luxue let out a short scream as her entire soul was ripped from the man's body and crashed heavily to the ground.

Her body had faded to almost invisible, becoming so transparent that it resembled a thin mist that could be blown away by the wind at any moment.

She looked up at Xiao Jin, her voice weak: "Run...run!"

Xiao Jin's eyes reddened, and she twisted her body, trying to get out of Yun Zi'ang's embrace.

Several burly men holding sticks stood there dumbfounded, not understanding why the perfectly healthy young man had suddenly collapsed to the ground and convulsed, nor why the eerie wind blowing from the altar was so bone-chilling.

Sun Liqiang collapsed to the ground, pointing at the empty space as if he'd seen a ghost: "It's her...she's back! Xie Luxue is back!"

Kong Zheng walked quickly to the altar, picked up a bowl of water, flicked two fingers on the rim of the bowl, wiped his eyes with a watery willow leaf, and looked up.

The next second, he saw Xie Luxue.

She lay on the ground, her body thin, her long hair disheveled, and her face unnaturally pale.

She was crying, and her eyes were filled with hatred.

Kong Zheng frowned, involuntarily took a step forward, but suddenly stopped.

Because several car screechs could be heard in the distance.

Kong Zheng looked up and followed the sound, only to see three black vans rushing into the open space next to Suolong Well at almost the same time, raising a cloud of dust and surrounding everyone in the middle.

The car doors slammed open, and dozens of burly men filed out, all dressed in black short-sleeved shirts. They moved swiftly and quickly pinned the men brought by Sun Liqiang to the ground.

Immediately afterwards, a black luxury car slowly came to a stop. The door opened, and Yun Mingyuan, with one arm still in a cast, stepped out of the car with a horribly gloomy expression.

He glanced around the scene, his gaze finally settling on Xiao Jin, who was being held in Yun Zi'ang's arms, and the coldness in his eyes deepened.

Yun Ziang saw his biological father and was so excited he almost shouted himself hoarse:

"Dad! You've arrived just in time!"

Xiao Jin thrashed about, and only when Yun Zi'ang saw Yun Mingyuan arrive did he dare to put Xiao Jin down.

"Nephew!" Xiao Jin greeted him.

Yun Mingyuan ignored his son and walked straight to Xiao Jin. He examined her from head to toe with his uninjured hand to make sure she was unharmed before turning to look at the group of people restrained on the ground. His voice wasn't loud, but it instantly silenced the surroundings.

"Who did it?"

No one dared to utter a sound.

Those burly men who were just moments ago so fierce and menacing were now all pinned to the ground, their faces pressed against the dirt, not daring to utter a sound.

Sun Liqiang was still trembling. He huddled to one side, unsure whether he was still terrified by what had just happened or intimidated by Yun Mingyuan's imposing presence.

Kong Zheng's attention was no longer on these people.

He watched as Xie Luxue slowly floated up from the ground.

Her figure became even more transparent, her features blurred, but the hatred in her eyes intensified.

She looked at Sun Liqiang as if he were a fire that had been burning for many years, and then suddenly rushed at him, so fast that Kong Zheng had no time to stop her.

She possessed Sun Liqiang's body.

Sun Liqiang's body suddenly stiffened, and he sprang straight up from the ground, letting out a scream that sounded inhuman.

As if pulled by a string, he turned around and rushed towards the Locked Dragon Well.

Kong Zheng realized her intention and reached out to stop her, but only managed to grab a corner of Sun Liqiang's clothes.

The next second, Sun Liqiang's head slammed hard against the bluestone well ring of the Lock Dragon Well, making a dull thud.

His body, like a puppet with its strings cut, slid limply to the edge of the well. A pale white shadow drifted out of his body, fell to the ground, and he had no strength left to move.

"Call an ambulance!" someone shouted.

Several bodyguards in black stepped forward to check Sun Liqiang's breath, then turned to look at Yun Mingyuan.

Yun Mingyuan nodded expressionlessly, and someone immediately made a phone call.

Kong Zheng walked towards Xie Luxue.

She lay on the ground, as if all her strength had been drained, her body almost blending into the ground. Kong Zheng took out a soul-collecting artifact from his sleeve, a small bronze bell with a dark, ghostly rim, capable of imprisoning evil spirits.

When Xie Luxue saw him approaching, she didn't flinch. She just glanced at him briefly, then closed her eyes, as if awaiting her fate.

Kong Zheng's brows were furrowed, his fingers pressed on the bronze bell, but he did not speak.

Suddenly, Xiao Jin's voice rang out.

She had somehow appeared behind Kong Zheng, her two small hands clasped together, forming several hand seals, and she was quietly but clearly reciting a spell:

"I beseech the Three Officials and the Nine Netherworlds. My disciple, Yun Fengjin, sincerely requests that a messenger from the underworld be dispatched immediately to receive my command. Divine soldiers, act with utmost urgency!"

Kong Zheng was stunned when he heard the incantation. Then, a cold wind swirled up from the depths of the Dragon Locking Well and extinguished the last two lamps on the altar.

The light seemed to dim for a moment.

On the open ground beside the well, two blurry figures silently emerged from the darkness, both wearing tall hats; one held a rope, the other a baton.

Kong Zheng's eyes widened suddenly.

A mysterious figure.

Under the clear blue sky, the underworld messengers arrived as summoned.

The two underworld messengers flew to Xiao Jin's side. Xiao Jin didn't say anything, but simply pointed at Xie Luxue.

The two underworld messengers seemed to understand something, and walked straight towards Xie Luxue. One of them, in a low, hoarse voice, listed her crimes:

"Xie Luxue, you have caused the deaths of four people, a crime punishable by the laws of the underworld. You are hereby summoned to the underworld for trial."

After saying that, a black chain flew out from his sleeve and bound Xie Luxue's soul.

Xie Luxue did not struggle, but turned her head to look at Xiao Jin as she was being pulled up.

"Thanks."

The underworld messenger disappeared with Xie Luxue.

The sky brightened again, and the gust of cold wind from before seemed to be just an illusion.

Kong Zheng stood rooted to the spot, staring in the direction the Yin Messenger had disappeared, his face showing disbelief and astonishment.

He turned to look at Xiao Jin: "You..."

Xiao Jin interrupted him, her tone very soft:

"My sister did something wrong, and there are laws in the underworld to punish her."

Once she goes to the underworld, where the yin energy is abundant, her soul won't be scattered.

She paused, lowered her eyelashes, and said, "Okay, it's all over."

Yun Mingyuan walked over and stood behind Xiao Jin, like a silent wall.

His gaze fell on Kong Zheng, carrying a subtle yet oppressive force.

Kong Zheng met his gaze without flinching.

Yun Zi'ang leaned closer and said gratefully, "Dad, thank goodness for you!"

He had barely finished speaking when Yun Mingyuan grabbed his ear.

Yun Zi'ang let out a loud "Aow!" and Yun Mingyuan gritted his teeth angrily and said:

"How dare you say that? You brought Xiao Jin to a place like this, what will you do if something happens? I'll settle this score with you when we get back."

Yun Zi'ang was being pinched so hard that tears were almost in his eyes, and he kept begging for mercy: "Dad, Dad, dear Dad, I was wrong, I was wrong, okay... Ouch, ouch, ouch..."

Xiao Jin looked up at the father and son, then at Kong Zheng, who was still lost in thought. She gently grasped Yun Mingyuan's hand, which was hanging by his side, and pleaded:

"Nephew, please spare your grandnephew."

Yun Mingyuan glanced down at her, then stopped tidying up Yun Ziang and said in a deep voice, "Go home."
