At this moment, at Fu Yuheng's home, Fu Yuanxun and Sang Jiamei were still arguing.

No matter how brightly the lights in the living room are turned on, they can't suppress those messy clumps of shadows.

Fu Yuanxun slammed the Ru kiln teacup in his hand onto the coffee table. It didn't break; instead, it spun around twice, as if keeping time for the farce.

"Are you out of your mind? Trying to drug them right under their noses, and you even bribed someone from the kitchen? Do you think Beijing is your backyard?"

Fu Yuanxun pointed at Sang Jiamei, veins throbbing on his forehead.

Sang Jiamei, her eyes red and swollen, sat ramrod straight, her voice hoarse from crying: "What can I do? They're taking Yu Heng away tomorrow."

"If that child really goes with us, will he survive? He's my only son. If I don't protect him, who will?"

"You're protecting him? You're going to get him killed!" Fu Yuanxun roared, then turned the gun to the other end of the sofa. "And you! Didn't you know to stop your mother from doing something like this?"

"You told your mom where the restaurant was, and she went there right after. Are you really unaware, or are you pretending not to know?"

Fu Yuheng lay half-reclined on the sofa, scratching his hair in frustration.

After hearing this, he sneered, "I want to get a divorce right now."

"The angrier she is, the better. Ideally, she'd be so angry that she'd just divorce me."

"I can't stand that crazy woman for even a day longer. Do you think I can still be a good husband to her if I go to Italy? I'll be lucky if her father doesn't tear me apart."

"Divorce is a must."

"Now you're talking about divorce?" Fu Yuanxun spun around angrily, then turned back. "Who was it that relentlessly pursued her back then? Who said they wouldn't marry anyone but her, even unafraid of her father being a member of the Mafia? Weren't you so confident back then? Now you're scared?"

Fu Yuheng sat up straight on the sofa, his expression turning angry and somewhat distorted: "Is it someone I should be pursuing?"

"You guys keep telling me that as long as I marry her and get access to the Martino family's channels, I can take over overseas businesses and Grandpa will think more highly of me."

"You didn't say those things? Now you're blaming me? Have you no shame?!"

Sang Jiamei covered her mouth and cried. Fu Yuanxun was speechless, his face turning pale. He wanted to retort, but couldn't find the words.

The three people were arguing fiercely when the doorbell suddenly rang.

When Sang Jiamei went to the entrance hall, she was frozen in place.

She turned around, her face deathly pale: "It's...it's Owen."

"Don't open the door!" Fu Yuheng jumped up from the sofa, causing the cushions to fall to the floor.

But it was too late.

The doorbell rang again.

Immediately afterwards, a very soft "bang" came from outside, as if something had been pried open.

Then, the heavy door was pushed open from the outside, and several foreign men in black suits filed in quickly.

Owen was the last to walk in, his leather shoes making a slow, deliberate sound on the marble floor.

Fu Yuanxun stood in front of his wife and children, forcing a smile, and said in a trembling voice, "Mr. Ouen, it's so late, you..."

Owen ignored him.

He walked up to Fu Yuheng and stopped.

Fu Yuheng opened his mouth, as if he wanted to say something, but he couldn't utter a single complete sentence.

Owen raised his hand and slapped him hard across the face.

Just once.

Fu Yuheng was sent flying, his back slamming into the antique shelf behind him, causing several ornaments to fall down and shatter on the ground.

He lay on the ground, unable to get up for a long time. When he looked up again, half of his face was swollen, his lips were broken by his teeth, and blood was flowing down the corner of his mouth.

He coughed, and a bloody tooth rolled out of his mouth and landed on the floor.

Sang Jiamei screamed and rushed over to help him, but was stopped by two bodyguards on either side.

Fu Yuanxun stood there, frozen in place, as if he had been terrified.

Owen didn't even glance at the couple.

He leaned slightly forward and said something in Italian to his subordinate.

Two bodyguards stepped forward, grabbed Fu Yuheng from both sides, and knocked him unconscious without even checking if he was still moving.

Fu Yuheng's body went limp, and he was dragged out.

"This is kidnapping! You're breaking the law! I'm calling the police!" Sang Jiamei broke free from the bodyguards, her voice so shrill it was almost distorted.

Owen then slowly turned around.

He looked at the couple with an extremely cold and ruthless gaze.

"Go find Fu Qingsheng," he said, his voice not loud, but it drowned out Sang Jiamei's cries. "Have him come and talk to me."

After saying that, he turned and left.

The bodyguards followed behind, leaving in a dense, imposing crowd.

The door closed behind them, and the living room fell silent again, with only the blood and teeth on the floor and the breath that Fu Yuanxun couldn't exhale.

"Call the police...call the police immediately..." Sang Jiamei reached for her phone with trembling hands.

Fu Yuanxun snatched it away and slammed it onto the sofa: "Why are you calling the police! Do you want to kill our son? Why didn't you think about breaking the law when you drugged him!"

He grabbed his coat and pulled Sang Jiamei, who was still slumped on the ground, outside: "Go find my dad. Only he can handle this now."

The two hurriedly left and returned to the old house.

But Grandpa Fu didn't see them.

Fu Zongxu stopped the two in the hallway, his face expressionless, and simply said, "Grandpa is asleep, don't make a sound."

"Asleep?" Fu Yuanxun almost shouted. "My son has been taken away, how can he sleep? Are you here to help, or to laugh at us?"

Fu Zongxu didn't answer, but looked at Sang Jiamei: "Second Aunt, I have a question."

"Since you've already decided to use poison, why didn't you just use paraquat to prevent future problems? Now you've made such a mess of things, and we have to clean up the mess for you."

Sang Jiamei trembled with rage: "You—you bastard! That's your brother!"

Fu Yuanxun's face darkened as well: "Fu Zongxu, what's the point of saying all this now? We don't need you to clean up the mess. Let me in, I'll talk to the old man myself!"

Fu Zongxu stepped aside and gestured for him to enter: "Grandpa won't see you, so there's no point in you going in. But I don't have time to argue with you right now."

He straightened his collar. "I was just about to go out to apologize to Owen on your behalf. If you don't want me to go, I'm going back to my room to sleep."

Fu Yuanxun opened his mouth, but ultimately didn't stop him.

Sang Jiamei seemed to have all her strength drained away, and slowly slid down to sit on a chair to the side.

Fu Zongxu went out the door.

He didn't return until dawn.

Fu Yuanxun and his wife sat in the hall all night. When Fu Zongxu came in, they both stood up almost simultaneously.

"How is it? Is he willing to release them?" Sang Jiamei asked.

Fu Zongxu took off his coat without looking at them:

"Owen has calmed down. But I've given up all the profits I was supposed to. The overseas lines will basically be working for nothing for the next year. But at least I didn't let the fire spread to the Fu family's roots."

Fu Yuanxun panicked, "What are you talking about doing first? Where's my son?!"

Fu Zongxu paused for a moment, then said, "Fu Yuheng, go back to Italy with them as originally planned."

Sang Jiamei froze for a few seconds, then looked as if she'd been struck by lightning: "What?! We waited all night, and this is the result? What was the point of all this?"

Fu Yuanxun's eyes reddened, and he gritted his teeth, saying, "Fu Zongxu, are you going to apologize, or are you going to get yourself killed?"

Fu Zongxu finally looked up at them, his face still expressionless:

"Second Uncle, there are some things you don't understand, and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm only concerned with protecting the Fu family."

"As for Fu Yuheng..."

He paused for a moment, then said, "Good luck to him." After saying that, he didn't look at the two of them again, turned around and went upstairs.

Morning light streamed in through the French windows, illuminating the entire room.

Fu Yuanxun and Sang Jiamei stood in the empty hallway, like two wax figures whose bones had been removed.

On the other side, at the hospital.

The sky gradually brightened.

Xiao Jin was tossed and turned for most of the night and had her blood drawn several times. Now she is lying listlessly in her hospital bed, clutching a rolled-up blanket in her arms. Her face is pale and she doesn't seem to have much energy.

Yun Ziang lay on the foot of the bed, his eyes red from staying up all night.

Yun Ziqian was still sober, leaning against the window, holding his phone, texting someone.

The hospital room door was gently pushed open. Fura walked in. She wasn't wearing makeup, her blonde hair was casually tied back, and her eyes were red.

She didn't speak, but walked to the bedside, squatted down, looked at Xiao Jin, and after a long while, she finally spoke: "Xiao Jin, thank you."

Xiao Jin was still half asleep when she heard the voice. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that it was Fura. Her eyes lit up a little: "Angel sister..."

She tried to sit up, but Fura gently pressed her down.

"You shielded me from something very bad," Fura said, her voice a little hoarse.

She took a small box out of her pocket, opened it, and inside was a brooch.

Made of silver and inlaid with deep blue enamel, it is shaped like a blooming edelweiss, with a slender sword piercing through its heart.

Yun Ziqian recognized it from the side, and his expression changed slightly: "This is the Martino family crest."

Fura nodded and pinned the brooch to the collar of her small brocade dress. "You saved my child. From now on, my child will be your little sister. Let her recognize you as her older sister, okay?"

Xiao Jin looked down at the brooch, then looked up at Fura, and nodded earnestly: "Okay. Xiao Jin will protect her little sister."

Yun Ziang suddenly laughed out loud: "This generational hierarchy is really messed up."

"Fura, your child won't acknowledge my great-aunt as her older sister, at most she'll acknowledge one... great-great-aunt?"

Fura paused, turned to look at him, as if she hadn't understood: "Grandma? You mean, Xiao Jin, is Grandma?"

Her Chinese wasn't very good, and she frowned slightly, her expression a mixture of surprise and confusion. "Xiao Jin is so young, how could she be Grandma?"

Yun Zi'ang was about to explain when Yun Ziqian stopped him with a look.

Xiao Jin giggled first: "It's not Grandma, it's Xiao Jin."

"Xiao Jin is Xiao Jin."

She leaned against the covers, touched the brooch with her little hand, and smiled so much that her eyes crinkled. "Xiao Jin is a Xiao Jin with a very high seniority."
