Yuan Wei didn't take Xiao Jin seriously at all.

He bent down to untie the chains binding the female zombie.

As the final quarter ended, Qu Jiahui's body seemed to be released from some kind of shackle, and her whole body suddenly trembled.

"Go on, Huihui, they're all your midnight snacks," Yuan Wei coaxed softly.

Then Huihui's dark eyes slowly turned to the three of them, the copper coin veil jingled, and then she moved.

Unlike the previous three zombies, she was incredibly fast, pushing off with her feet and sliding across the ground almost touching the ground.

Xiao Jin exclaimed "Ah!" and took out a talisman, which she then threw out.

The first picture was right in front of Huihui's chest; a flash of fire, and it was gone.

The second card landed on Huihui's shoulder, like a wet, yellow leaf, drifting down limply. Xiaojin's eyes widened, and she threw out three more cards, but Huihui didn't even flinch.

The moment the talisman was stuck to her body, it emitted a burnt smell, then curled up at the edges and turned to ash.

"An'an, the talisman is useless!" Xiao Jin shouted, her cheeks puffed out. Her short legs darted to the side like a little duck being chased, and she huffed, "The talisman Master gave me must be expired!"

Yun Zi'ang, who was listening behind him, almost choked on his breath: "What! It's expired?!"

He shouted as he shrank behind Qiu An, still clutching the crumpled amulet in his hand.

Qiu An had already gone to greet him.

Using an old shelf against the wall for support, he flipped himself up into the air and landed behind Qu Jiahui, kicking her in the back of the knee.

The joint made a very crisp cracking sound; it had broken.

Qu Jiahui knelt on one knee, but she only paused for a second before standing up again with her broken leg, her lower leg bent at an unbelievable angle, as if it didn't belong to her at all.

Qiu An frowned and struck her on the back of the neck with another palm.

The force was enough to split a brick, but she seemed to be blown by the wind, her head tilted to the side, and she swung her five fingernails at his face.

Qiu An leaned back to avoid it, her fingernails brushing against his collar, leaving a faint smell of burning.

"She really doesn't know pain," Qiu An said coldly.

Xiao Jin was very agile. She circled around from the side, jumped up, and grabbed Qu Jia Hui's wildly grabbing arm.

She clung to him like a koala, her whole body hanging there. "Xiao Jin, I've got you!"

Qu Jiahui's hand sank as she was being held, and her other hand slapped the back of her head.

Hearing the whistling sound, Xiao Jin suddenly let go, fell to the ground, rolled on the spot, and somehow managed to roll between Qu Jia Hui's legs. As she got up, she didn't forget to pat the dust off her chest.

"Thank goodness, Xiao Jin almost turned into a tabby cat!"

Qu Jiahui seemed to be provoked, and a series of low hisses rolled out from her throat.

She ignored Qiu An and turned to pounce on Xiao Jin.

Qu Jiahui turned around and pounced, her ten black fingernails carrying a strange, fishy smell.

Xiao Jin had just straightened up when the gray-black shadow loomed in front of her again. Like a startled rabbit, she hopped to the side, only to slip on a pile of broken glass on the ground and fall flat on her backside with a "plop."

"Ouch! Xiao Jin's butt—" she cried out, and without waiting for a rub, she rolled and crawled to the side.

Qu Jiahui's fingers gripped the ground where she had just sat, leaving several dents in the cement floor.

Xiao Jin's face paled in surprise, but she quickly blurted out, "How fierce! Even more ferocious than the wild boars on our mountain!"

As she spoke, she got up from the ground. Just as she was about to take out the talisman again, she remembered that the talisman was no longer useful. So she simply threw the cloth bag aside, swung her little arms, and rushed forward.

Despite her small stature, she moved with incredible agility, weaving between Qu Jiahui's arms like a slippery little eel.

Qu Jiahui tried to grab her several times, but only managed to grab air, making a hissing sound in her throat with anger.

"Can't catch you! Can't catch you! Hehehe—" Xiao Jin even took the time to make a face at her.

After finishing, she exclaimed "Ouch!" because Qu Jiahui almost grabbed her little pigtail. She quickly shrank her neck, crawled under Qu Jiahui's armpit, went behind her, and jumped up to bump into her lower back.

The collision didn't send Qu Jiahui flying, but it sent her flying herself.

Xiao Jin covered her head and spun around in place, looking as pitiful as a kitten with its tail between its legs.

"Her waist is so stiff, like a rock!" Xiao Jin said, waving her little hands, both angry and aggrieved.

She looked up at Qiu An and saw that Qiu An had already moved around to Qu Jia Hui's side and kicked her in the shoulder.

Qu Jiahui's body was kicked to the side, and then bounced back.

Qiu An's expression darkened. He grabbed her arm, which was still flailing around, and twisted it hard.

His shoulder joint snapped open, and his arm hung limply at his sides.

Qu Jiahui didn't pause at all, and swept her other hand back.

Qiu An ducked to avoid it, then used the momentum to pin down her other arm, and then slammed his knee into her lower back again.

That arm was also exhausted.

Qu Jiahui's arms swung like broken ropes, yet she did not fall down, like a broken puppet whose skeleton had been removed but was still moving.

"Huihui!" Yuan Wei called out from behind, his voice sharp and painful, as if a piece of flesh had been ripped from his heart.

His scars gleamed red, his eyes were bloodshot, and he roared at Xiao Jin and Qiu An:

"Let her go! You're not allowed to touch her again!"

Xiao Jin paused for a moment upon hearing this sound.

She glanced back at Yuan Wei, then at Qu Jia Hui's arm that was no longer moving, and whispered:

"It was that bad uncle who sent her to hit us. If Xiao Jin doesn't hit her, she'll bite Xiao Jin!"

But Yuan Wei wouldn't listen at all.

His eyes were red, and he looked like he was on fire.

While Xiao Jin and Qiu An were focused on Qu Jia Hui, he went around to the side, picked up the half of the broom handle that Xiao Jin had thrown away, and rushed towards Yun Zi Ang in the corner.

Yun Ziang was curled up in a ball, muttering to himself.

He caught a glimpse of someone running towards him out of the corner of his eye, and his face contorted with fear. He tried to stand up in a panic, but his legs were too weak to straighten.

Xiao Jin saw it first, and she cried out "Ah!" and ran back as fast as she could. But her legs were too short; she took several steps but still couldn't go as far as Yuan Wei in two steps.

She ran while shouting, "Grand-nephew, run! Run!"

Yun Ziang also wanted to run away.

He crawled awkwardly on the ground for a couple of steps, using both hands and feet, and Yuan Wei was already in front of him.

The broom handle was raised high, about to smash down.

Xiao Jin was the closest, but her short arm was still a distance from the hem of Yuan Wei's clothes.

Her eyes were red with anxiety when, just then, a fiery red shadow suddenly appeared from behind her, as fast as lightning, wrapped around Yun Ziang's waist, and pulled him backward.

The broom handle slammed down on the spot where Yun Ziang had just been kneeling, breaking in two.

Yun Ziang was flung to Xiao Jin's legs by the tail.

He winced in pain, but he couldn't cry out, because when he looked up, he saw Qiu An standing three steps away, with eight tails spread out behind him, so red that they almost set the entire corridor ablaze.

Those tails moved on their own even without wind, like a huge ball of fire.

Yuan Wei also saw it.

His mouth was agape, as if someone had grabbed his throat, and after a long while he managed to squeeze out, "You...you're not human..."

Qiu An did not answer.

He slowly turned around, and the moonlight shone from behind him, outlining his silhouette as a cold yet beautiful figure.

He walked towards Yuan Wei step by step, his expression eerily calm.

Qu Jiahui seemed to want to crawl over from behind him, but Xiao Jin had already gotten up, took out a red rope from the cloth bag, and quickly tied up the remaining legs that she could still move.

As she tied us up, she whispered, "Sister Huihui, take a break, don't grab us anymore."

Qu Jiahui let out a low sob and struggled desperately.

Qiu An walked up to Yuan Wei, grabbed him by the neck, and lifted him off the ground, his eyes flashing coldly.

"I didn't want to kill anyone, but they forced me to."

From the beginning, he intentionally concealed his demonic form, hoping to finish the battle quickly.

But this person just had to force him.

Now that he knows his secret, he will absolutely not let him leave alive.

Yuan Wei kicked wildly in the air, his face turning a deep purplish-red.

He turned his head with difficulty and looked in Huihui's direction.

The moonlight shone on Huihui's face, and the copper coin veil hung quietly.

Yuan Wei let out a series of muffled sounds, as if he were calling her name.

Qiu An's fingers tightened even more, his knuckles sinking deeper and deeper into Qiu An's neck.

"No, no!" Xiao Jin cried out in a panic, "Don't kill him!"

"Xiao Jin hasn't asked any questions yet."

"Xiao Jin, ask quickly," Qiu An said.

Xiao Jin ran over from Hui Hui's side, looked up at Yuan Wei who was being held in mid-air, and said anxiously, "An An, loosen your grip a little, he can't answer like this."

Qiu An didn't move, but he did loosen his grip a little.

Yuan Wei opened his mouth, barely managing to breathe; half his face turned purplish-red, while the other half remained deathly pale.

He coughed, his eyes filled with tears, his voice hoarse and broken: "Huihui... my Huihui..."

Xiao Jin stepped forward and asked the questions she had been holding back for a long time:

"Where did you find the corpse? Who taught you how to recreate corpses? Why are you doing this? Is anyone else doing this?"

Yuan Wei closed his eyes and refused to speak.

Qiu An said, "If you don't talk, you die."

As he spoke, he lifted his finger upwards again.

Yuan Wei looked like a tightly strangled chicken, his eyes rolling upwards.

Xiao Jin quickly grabbed Qiu An's leg, jumping up and down anxiously, "You can't die! You can't die! Xiao Jin hasn't finished asking yet!"

Qiu settled down.

He glanced down at Xiao Jin and said, "Then ask quickly. I don't have much patience left."

Xiao Jin then turned to Yuan Wei, pointed to Qu Jiahui who was tied to the ground, and asked:

"What is Sister Huihui made of? Why is she different from other zombies? Tell Xiaojin."

Yuan Wei's eyelids trembled, and finally he slowly opened them.

He looked at Xiao Jin, then at Qu Jia Hui, his lips moved a few times, and after a long while, he finally managed to squeeze out a sentence from his throat: "She...is my fiancée."
