Xiao Jin stuffed the bound Yin Yingling under the bedside table, covered it tightly with a red cloth, clapped her hands, and climbed back into bed.

Yun Mingyuan was still sitting there, his eyes closed, muttering incantations, a fine layer of sweat on his forehead, and his voice was already a little hoarse.

"Nephew, alright, you can open your eyes now." Xiao Jin reached out and gently patted his arm.

Yun Mingyuan slowly opened his eyes, his gaze immediately sweeping towards the window.

The curtains remained motionless, the brass bells rang quietly, and everything in the ward seemed normal.

He let out a long breath, his voice still a little strained:

"It's over? I heard a lot of strange noises when I closed my eyes just now..."

"It's over, the bad guy has been caught by Xiao Jin." She tilted her head and looked at him, then reached out and patted his head. "Nephew, you chanted the spell very well, the bad guy couldn't get close to you at all. Now it's all over, you can go to sleep."

Yun Mingyuan had not fully recovered from the tension just now and sat on the edge of the bed without moving.

Xiao Jin yawned widely and reached out to tug at the sleeve of his hospital gown:

"Lie down, lie down quickly. Xiao Jin is sleepy, and your nephew needs to sleep too. We have important things to do tomorrow."

Yun Mingyuan was half-forced to lie back on the bed. Before he could say anything, Xiao Jin had already pulled the blanket up over them both, turned over, buried her face in the pillow, and mumbled something indistinctly:

"Good night."

He stared at the ceiling for a few seconds, then closed his eyes in resignation.

Before long, the sound of even breathing returned to the ward.

As dawn broke, Xiao Jin struggled to open her eyes.

She tiptoed off the bed, took the red cloth bundle from under the bedside table, walked to the window, untied the red cloth, and pulled out the Yin Infant Spirit.

The Yin infant spirit was tied up all night, looking listless and too weak to even bare its teeth.

Xiao Jin untied the red rope from its body, opened the window, and the cool morning breeze blew in, making the curtains flutter.

Yin Yingling struggled in her hand for a moment, then realized she had really been released. She froze for a second, then quickly slipped out through the window crack, her limbs scrambling along the building's exterior wall before darting away into the distance without looking back.

Xiao Jin leaned on the windowsill, resting her chin on her hand, watching the increasingly smaller dark figure, a sly smile playing on her lips:

"Hurry up and run, Xiao Jin will be chasing you soon!"

She turned and walked to the sofa, reaching out to pat Yun Ziang's face.

Yun Ziang mumbled something and rolled over. She patted him again, this time with a bit more force.

Yun Ziang groggily opened his eyes and was startled to see Xiao Jin's face so close to his.

"What's wrong? What happened? What's wrong?"

As he spoke, he grabbed the peach wood sword beside him and looked around warily: "That thing is here?!"

Xiao Jin was amused by Yun Ziang's silly appearance and said softly, "It's all gone."

"Ah!" Yun Ziang's eyes widened suddenly, his face filled with shock.

"Shh," Xiao Jin put a finger to her lips and lowered her voice to say something important, "Grand-nephew, we should get going."

Before Yun Ziang could react, he saw Xiao Jin run out, so he had no choice but to tiptoe after her, carrying her shoes.

The two got into the elevator, and it wasn't until they left the hospital that Yun Ziang finally regained full consciousness.

He stood at the hospital entrance, his hair disheveled from sleep, his T-shirt collar askew, looking around blankly: "Little miss, it's not even fully light yet, where are we going?"

"Go find the person who cast the spell."

Yun Zi'ang opened his mouth, his eyes filled with confusion, "You already know where he is?"

"So fast..." he exclaimed, then asked, "Which way do we go?"

Xiao Jin stood at the hospital entrance, tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.

The morning air was filled with the smells of disinfectant, car exhaust, and soy milk from breakfast stalls, but beneath these layers of odors, a faint, sweet-smelling, sinister aura was slowly moving.

She opened her eyes, held up her short finger, and pointed to the street on her left: "Over there."

Yun Ziang glanced at the sign she was pointing at. After Xiao Jin finished speaking, she ran ahead with her short legs.

"Hey," Yun Ziang looked at Xiao Jin's back, glanced around, spotted the shared electric bikes by the roadside, and without saying a word, took out his phone to scan the code.

He caught up with Xiaojin on his bike, saying, "Little auntie, hurry up and get on. It's too much trouble for you to run like this."

Xiao Jin looked at the electric scooter with surprise, "Grand-nephew, where did you conjure up that from?"

"My great-nephew knows magic tricks," Yun Ziang said with a smile, as he lifted Xiao Jin onto the back seat and put the safety helmet on her head.

He got on the bike, turned the handlebars, and the electric bike emitted a slight hum before speeding off.

Xiao Jin sat in the back seat, sniffing every now and then, and then pointing the way.

"Go to the left."

"Right side, right side... no, that's already past..."

The two rode shared electric bikes through the streets of Nanhai City, turning from the wide main road into the narrow old street, and from the old street into an even narrower alley. The buildings on both sides became older and older, and the shop signs became smaller and smaller.

After driving around for nearly an hour, Yun Ziang's electric scooter finally stopped in front of a shop.

This is a shop hidden at the end of an old alley. There is no signboard above the door. There are only two old carved wooden doors that are tightly closed. A faded notice is pasted on the door panel, which reads "See customers on Tuesdays and Thursdays" in calligraphy. The characters are so blurred that they are almost illegible.

There was a thriving bonsai tree on each side of the wooden door.

Yun Ziang parked his car, walked to the store entrance, and peered inside through the window.

He could vaguely see several old-fashioned tea tables and wooden chairs inside, but the counter was empty, and there wasn't a single person in sight.

"Did the people here cast a curse on my dad?" He turned to Xiao Jin and asked in a low voice.

Xiao Jin did not answer.

She stood in front of the teahouse, looking up at the unassuming old house.

She looked at the thick black mist that enveloped the house. The mist seeped out from every crack in the roof, doors, and windows, drifting slowly in the air and swirling around, darkening the sky above.

This black aura was even denser than the black aura seen at the Yun family villa.

Xiao Jin's eyes gleamed with excitement as she patted her tummy, but a hint of worry lingered beneath the excitement.

"What is that big bad guy going to do?"

She clenched her little fists and stepped up the stairs.

Yun Ziang tried to push the door, but it was locked.

He then walked to the window next to him and casually pushed the window frame.

The window wasn't locked; it opened with a gentle push.

He paused for a moment, "They forgot to close the window."

Yun Ziang pushed the window to its widest setting, braced himself against the windowsill, and first helped Xiao Jin inside. Then he climbed in himself, and as he landed, he kicked over an empty tea canister. The canister rolled a long way on the wooden floor, its sound particularly jarring in the empty tea room.

The tea room was dark, and the air was filled with a musty, stale smell.

Xiao Jin didn't linger in the tea room. Her nose twitched slightly as she followed the scent that only she could detect, walking further in and pushing open a door leading down a staircase.

The stairs were narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time, and the sweet, pungent smell grew stronger the further down you went.

Yun Ziang followed behind her, holding his phone with the flashlight on in one hand and gripping the stair railing tightly with the other. The light flickered in the narrow stairwell, illuminating the mottled mold on the walls.

He hesitated and said, "Is it really appropriate for us to just walk in like this?"

Xiao Jin seemed not to hear, quickly walked down the stairs, pushed open the heavy iron door at the end of the stairs, and went inside.

Yun Ziang followed her into the basement, raised his phone to take pictures of the surroundings, and then stood there as if nailed to the spot.

The basement was large, more spacious than the entire tea room on the upper floor combined, but it had only two tiny windows embedded near the ceiling, letting in weak and murky natural light.

The beam of a cell phone flashlight swept across the walls on both sides, illuminating rows of towering iron shelves, one side of which was filled with porcelain statues of various sizes.

They were arranged huddled together in the dim light, their porcelain surfaces gleaming with a faint, cold light.

Yun Zi'ang was horrified. "What are all these things?"

He looked at those things, and fearfully tried to move closer to Xiao Jin, only to find that Xiao Jin had her back to him and was looking at the wall on the other side.

Yun Ziang paused for a moment, turned his phone, and looked in the direction Xiao Jin was looking.

On the other shelf, dozens of dark-colored ceramic jars were neatly stacked, each jar's opening sealed with red cloth, and several layers of ink thread were wrapped around the red cloth, with yellowed talisman paper tied to the ink thread.

This scene was even more terrifying than the statue opposite.

Yun Ziang's hand holding the phone trembled violently, almost dropping it to the ground.

Xiao Jin tilted her head back, her little hands clenched into fists, "It's him...it's him!"

This is ghost refining.

This method is used by that villain who wants to take away Yu Ziping's soul!

"Who, who?" Yun Zi'ang stammered.

"It's that Mr. Li," Xiao Jin said with a frown. She noticed something and turned to look at a half-open iron door at the end of the corridor.

She walked over, reached out her small hand, and pushed open the door with all her might. Behind the door was a small, windowless room, filled with a strong, sweet, fishy smell and the aroma of burning sandalwood.

Xiao Jin stood in the center of the small house, looking around at the magical implements, bamboo slips, talismans, and aluminum pot on the table.

She also saw hair and blood-stained gauze, the incense stick that had burned out in the dark soil of the grave, and the bamboo strips in the copper basin that had been soaked in corpse oil.

Finally, Xiao Jin landed on the dark black jar on the offering table, her brows furrowed tightly.

"This is it," her voice lacked its usual softness, carrying an unusual seriousness and heaviness, "These things... are used for casting spells."

Yun Ziang stood behind her, the light from his phone illuminating the strange objects on the table, his expression slowly shifting from shock to gloom.

He instinctively reached out and pulled Xiao Jin closer to him, lowering his voice to ask, "Where is the person who cast the curse?"

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a sinister voice came from behind him, echoing eerily in the dimly lit, cramped room: "You two have come uninvited, are you looking for me?"
