The Butcher of Hogsmeade

Chapter 45, You've made a deep grudge against the Death Eaters.

The purple magical light corresponded to the Witcher's "Yarden Sign". The moment the trap was activated, the three-headed werewolf's body suddenly froze. At that moment, it was as if countless invisible blades rose from the ground, repeatedly slicing around the werewolf's lower legs below the joints.

Each cut made by the sharp blade was shallow and did not damage the bone at all, but each cut was difficult to endure because the flesh, skin, and tendons, except for the bone, were cut to pieces.

Shen Hou leaned against the door of the emergency room, ignoring the werewolf's howls; half of his mind was focused on the black-robed witch further away, while the other half was immersed in his own illusory memories.

"The reverse joints of werewolves' lower limbs give them powerful running and jumping abilities, but the reverse joints also affect their balance when running and moving."

The old man with the big nose's "earnest teachings" echoed in my ears;

"It is part of the werewolf's strong body, but it is also probably the weakest point on their body. The werewolf's body has a strong ability to regenerate, but damaging the lower limb joints can cause them the most damage, and it is also the place that is the most difficult to recover from after being injured; at the same time, lower limb injuries will limit the werewolf's ability to move, which is beneficial for establishing an advantage in subsequent battles."

Memories flashed through Shen Hou's mind like lightning, and his body and brain reacted in sync. The formed "Ald Sign" aimed at the werewolf's joint lock; because of the angle, he didn't even need to raise his arm, just a slight flick of his palm.

The shockwave crashed into the ground and surged back up like waves crashing on a beach. An irresistible, invisible force pushed against the ground, as if the bucket of a bulldozer were pushing across the earth. When it collided head-on with this powerful force, the werewolf's lower limbs were no more resilient than the sapling in front of the bulldozer.

The sounds of joint dislocation and breakage were clearly audible.

A spell struck the "Quen Sign" head-on, and the sound of the shield shattering drowned out the werewolf's scream.

The black-robed witch approached step by step, wand held high, the next spell already brewing, the syllable "Avada Kedavra" about to be uttered.

In this critical moment, Shen Hou didn't rush to replenish his shield. Instead, he raised his hand towards the nearest werewolf and shouted, "Yakshi!"

The werewolf's eyes were bloodshot, and its ferocious features revealed a human-like fear. It braced itself on the ground with its upper limbs and sprang up suddenly. However, it did not pounce towards Shen Hou, but instead turned around in mid-air, as if it had encountered something terrifying and wanted to run away.

As the werewolf turned around, by sheer coincidence, he saw the green light of the Killing Curse shooting out from the tip of the witch's staff; the green light, originally aimed at Shen Hou, struck the werewolf who was leaping in mid-air.

There were no wails, no screams. The moment the green light struck the werewolf, its body instantly lost all life and strength, and the humanoid monster died silently.

The lifeless body rose to its highest point due to inertia, and then fell straight down, like a pile of dead flesh crashing onto the corridor floor.

The witch's follow-up attacks failed to materialize, and the long recovery time of her ultimate skill caused the negative effects to reappear. Shen Hou wouldn't let this golden opportunity slip by; he leaped over the corpse of the dead werewolf and passed between two other wounded and fallen werewolves.

"Yarden!" With palm down, the purple light instantly returned; the two werewolves, who were struggling to get up with their upper limbs, suddenly felt their bodies sink, as if their weight had increased several times out of thin air. Their bodies were pressed firmly to the floor, unable to move, and they could only watch helplessly as the culprit rushed past them, heading straight for the black-robed witch.

No matter how long the corridor is, it can't compare to the running track. Shen Hou sprinted at full speed, and the short distance between him and the black-robed witch was almost gone in the blink of an eye.

"Sand and stones flying everywhere!"

"A barrage of bullets!"

"Crushed to pieces!"

One spell after another exploded on the "Quen Shield," with increasing frequency but decreasing power.

Although her face was hidden by the hood, the black-robed witch's reaction was visibly panicked. Her chanting of spells became faster and faster, almost out of sync with the casting of her wand. She retreated while casting the spell, but her footing was far slower than Shen Hou's sprint.

When a knockback spell hits the shield but fails to repel Shen Hou even half a step, the distance between the two has already closed enough for the spell to exert its power.

At this moment, the black-robed witch realized that today's operation had failed, but she was horrified to find that it was too late to leave. The moment she began to turn around using Apparition, the shockwave of the Aard sign came crashing down.

As the black-robed witch was being pushed against the wall by the shockwave, a flicker of relief crossed her mind. She was glad that her Apparition had been interrupted beforehand; had she encountered the shockwave during the process, she would probably have been torn to pieces.

However, this sense of relief did not last long and quickly vanished.

Shen Hou approached like a shadow, his hand holding the triangular bayonet as if it were a two-handed greatsword; the image of the old man in his illusion flashed before his eyes once again, meticulously and tirelessly supervising "himself" as he practiced the most tedious and boring longsword thrusting stance over and over again.

"The Wolf School of swordsmanship emphasizes stability and balance, avoiding both recklessness and conservatism; the success rate of accurate hits is more important than the lethality rate..."

In the blink of an eye, the illusion vanished in an instant, and the triangular bayonet pierced with lightning speed, just like the monotonous yet steady longsword stance repeated again and again in the illusion.

With a sharp "swoosh," the military dagger pierced through the palm, pinning the black-robed witch's wand-holding right hand to the frame of a portrait.

With a scream, the wand fell to the ground and was kicked far away.

The black-robed witch instinctively turned halfway, reaching out her left hand to grab the triangular bayonet, but Shen Hou punched her in the face. Even through the thick fabric of the hood, the crisp sound of her nose breaking could be heard, blood gushing out, flowing down her chin and dripping onto her clothes. The witch screamed and grabbed at Shen Hou's face, only to be met with another punch; but Shen Hou, still feeling that hitting her through the fabric wasn't enough, ripped open the hood and punched her in the eye again.

Beneath the hood was a face as cold and sinister as an owl's, with a broken and crooked nose, split eyes, and swollen, bruised lips.

"Damn ugly!" The fourth punch followed the words of complaint and landed precisely on the witch's temple. It was neither too light nor too heavy, just one of the ways Shen Hou had learned in the illusion to take down an enemy without killing him.

As Shen Hou had predicted, the witch fainted, but because one of her hands was pinned down, she could not fall. Her body hung limply on the wall, her black wizard robes fluttering like a tapestry draped over the wall.

Before Shen Hou could catch his breath, a cracking sound like a whip suddenly came from behind him, startling him. He turned around and found that Gideon had Apparated into the corridor, wand in hand, jumping around like a frightened antelope, looking around warily. But after seeing the scene in the corridor, he was dumbfounded.

"You...did you do this?"

Gideon's arrival completely put Shen Hou at ease. The tension subsided, and a near-exhaustion washed over him. Leaning against the wall, he didn't want to speak at all. He nodded slightly and pointed to the two injured werewolves still struggling on the ground. Gideon understood and casually cast two knockout spells on them, causing the werewolves to give up their struggles.

"Alecto Carlo, it really is her." After confirming that the corridor was safe, Gideon walked to Shen Hou's side, grabbed the witch's hair and examined her closely, recognizing her identity.

"You know him?" Shen Hou's voice was weak. He raised his hand to try to pull out the triangular military dagger, but after several attempts, he couldn't pull it out. He didn't know how it had gotten stuck in there.

Gideon raised his wand and flicked it gently, sending the triangular bayonet flying back into Shen Hou's hand, while Alector Caro slid down the wall.

"A pure-blood family, also one of the Twenty-Eight Holy Families, is highly suspected of belonging to the Death Eaters organization."

"No evidence again?" Shen Hou chuckled, his laughter laced with sarcasm.

Gideon shrugged dismissively: "That's how the Ministry of Magic does things. But this time, neither she nor her brother can escape."

"She has an older brother; was he involved in this too?"

"Amicus Caro, I was dragged downstairs by him and that's why I couldn't get back." Gideon said, looking around and bending down to pick up the witch's staff. "Thanks to your help, we caught them both this time; however, your feud with the Death Eaters is only getting deeper."

"Could it be deeper than that time in Diagon Alley? I didn't kill anyone this time. The werewolves who died there were all killed by this witch." Shen Hou didn't care. He already had enough lice on him.

Before he finished speaking, a series of hurried footsteps came from the direction of the stairwell, and a large group of people rushed over.
