Mystery: Death Singer

The text description alone is somewhat difficult to understand and does not immediately convey the strength of the "psychic" ability.

This ability can be used in two ways. The first is like how Edric used the powder and the beetle before, using his own spirituality to communicate with and examine other spirits by taking advantage of the special nature of the spirit world.

The second way to use it is through Edric's only truly meaningful extraordinary ability that can be used in direct combat.

By communicating in advance and using various materials, such as "moon essential oil" or "corpse fragrance potion" as a medium, one can summon certain spirits in the spirit world and then merge with them to gain various extraordinary abilities.

—Edric was able to merge with the Stone Spirit and hide underground because of the Stone Spirit's unique properties. Although this ability looks similar to "spirit communication," it is actually completely different.

This is like a car carrying a passenger. Edric was the passenger, while the Stone Spirit represents the car and the driver.

After gaining "psychic abilities," Edric himself represents the car and driver, while the spirits he communicates with and controls are the passengers.

Having some memories of his past life and a sense of déjà vu, Edric is able to describe the ability of "psychic communication" in a more intuitive way, such as "divine intervention" or "spirit possession."

Of course, "spirit communication" is only similar to "spirit possession" in its form, but the core of it is completely different.

But if Edric wants to target those wandering spirits, he must study the effects of essential oils and perfumes on various spirits and figure out which mediums powerful spirits prefer.

Frost Spirit and Stone Spirit are indeed powerful enough, but he can't use only these two spirits for his entire life. Establishing connections with more spirits to enrich his already limited extraordinary abilities is a goal that Edric has long been determined to achieve.

Moreover, powerful spirits are rare in the real world. Since Edric is not yet able to enter the spirit world, how can he "fish out" those spirits hidden in the spirit world and the underworld if he doesn't work hard on the bait?
