Full-Time Magister: My Talent is Pretty Good

Chapter 17 The True Uses of Necromancy

Lu Jin'an frowned as he looked at the bloodstains on the ground. It wasn't out of sympathy, after all, those who are not of his kind are bound to have different intentions.

He just felt a little nauseous, and the smell was too strong. People who were far away could only smell a little bit, but now that he was closer, he could smell it.

Even through his mask, he could feel the bloody, foul-smelling air around his nose, and he almost vomited.

"call."

He let out a long breath, suppressing the nausea, walked to the two corpses, and waved his hand.

The two corpses and their remnants of souls were taken into the undead space.

Lu Jin'an felt a little regretful, as the two demons only dropped remnant souls, not complete souls, which were quite valuable.

Forget it, I won't force it. After all, the rarer something is, the more valuable it is. If I just give it to him so easily, he'll feel a little unreal.

Lu Jin'an put aside the strange thoughts in his mind, carefully looked around, and finding no threat, gave the two skeletons a guardian command.

With a thought, he entered the realm of the dead.

He looked at this deathly world, now filled with two more corpses and two remnant souls, and nodded in satisfaction.

"Next up is the revival round."

Lu Jin'an's spirit murmured something, and necromancy surged from his body towards the two corpses.

The process went smoothly, and in no time the two corpses that had been lying on the ground were standing up, looking no different from when they were alive.

They lay silently on the ground, without moving or making a sound, even the murderous glint in their eyes was gone.

Only deathly silence remained. They were merely two mindless, obedient corpses, devoid of souls and thoughts, just two empty shells.

"It's done! Hehehe."

Lu's expression was very pleasant today. This is another use of necromancy: "resurrection," which can also be called manipulating corpses.

As long as one has enough mental and magical power, one can control even the corpses of emperors. Of course, reaching that level is not easy.

Putting everything else aside, where do you find the corpses of emperors and those under forbidden spells? Are you going to just kill them on the spot?

Lu Jin'an shuddered and quickly shook these thoughts out of his mind. This was too outrageous. He was just a beginner mage who had only killed two of the lowest-level demons.

They actually dared to think about killing Emperor-level and Forbidden Spell Masters? Forgive me, forgive me. Let's move on to the next step.

Lu Jin'an patted his chest, withdrew from the necromantic space, and looked around at the two skeletons surrounding him, which were missing a few bones due to the battle just now.

Hmm, nothing unusual.

"Come out!"

Lu Jin'an whispered a command, activating necromancy. The two giant-eyed rats that were originally in the necromancy space appeared out of thin air beside him.

Incidentally, he removed the original smell from the two corpses when he was modifying them.

Although it's not completely eliminated, you can only smell a faint mouse odor when you get very close.

"Kneel down, jump around, and stick your tongue out."

He gave the order in a low voice, and the two giant-eyed rats, though soulless, still understood their master's wishes.

Just as Lu Jin'an had imagined, the two giant-eyed rats first knelt down, then stood up and jumped around, sticking out their two scarlet tongues. Their movements were smooth and without any obstruction.

Lu Jin'an nodded in satisfaction. Very good. Even a reawakened corpse like this is just as easy to control as a summoned skeleton.

He could command the corpses to carry out his orders exactly as he desired.

Now that the experiment was complete, Lu Jin'an had no intention of staying in the field any longer.

Seven stars formed an array and appeared, while the two giant-eyed blood rats disappeared and returned to the undead space.

He returned the way he came, now just wanting to get back to the city quickly to take a shower; he was covered in smells and sweat.

However, not long after walking, Lu Jin'an discovered a corpse lying on the ground, quietly in the bushes, with no lingering soul, indicating that it had dissipated.

"How...how could there be a human corpse here? Holy crap, it's missing an arm and a leg!"

Lu Jin'an looked at the corpse, surveyed his surroundings, and found no danger. He felt that the bushes looked familiar, and after thinking for a moment, he realized that this was where he had found the giant-eyed rat.

"Could it have been those two beasts who did it?"

Although he said that, he already had a general idea in his mind, and it shouldn't be wrong.

He decisively summoned a skeleton, carried the man's corpse out, and placed it on an open ground.

Lu Jin'an observed carefully for a while and found that although the person was missing an arm and a leg, his head was not badly damaged.

He appeared to be a young man in his early twenties. I didn't recognize him and had no recollection of him. He was wearing a hunter's badge on his waist.

Lu Jin'an speculated that this person must have been unlucky while doing a simple task and died when he encountered the giant-eyed blood rat.

He felt a pang of emotion, after all, he was just an ordinary person who grew up in an environment of sunshine and red flags, even though he knew that he had become a mage and would often encounter such things in the future.

But watching a young life turn into a corpse is incredibly painful.

"You're lucky to have met me. Consider it an act of kindness, and I'll give you a proper burial."

Lu Jin'an looked at the blood-covered corpse and said in a low voice, instructing the skeleton to search the man for all his valuables.

After all, it's just a small matter. Buying a coffin costs money, so shouldn't he charge for burying someone?

The brothers didn't say anything, which can be considered tacit approval.

At the same time, he also summoned two giant-eyed gorillas to start digging holes in the ground.

A few minutes later, the giant-eyed rat, a skilled digger, had already dug the pit, and the man's corpse was lying at the bottom of the pit. Lu Jin'an then activated his wind magic.

"Waaaaah."

A strong wind swept through, and the soil that had been dug up gathered and pressed back into the pit, and just like that, a simple grave was made.

As for whether he found anything good? That's just wishful thinking on his part. What good stuff could someone who could be killed by a giant-eyed gorilla have?

The most valuable thing is his corpse, after all, the hunter is a mage, and "resurrecting" him might make him a fighting force.

But Lu Jin'an abandoned the idea. Why would someone want to ruin his corpse when they had no grudge against him and weren't very strong anyway?

At his current cultivation speed, even if he refines it, this corpse will soon be eliminated.

Besides, do you really think the Inquisition and the Magic Association are pushovers?

Even if he's stupid, he knows that if he inexplicably creates a corpse to control and gets discovered, nothing good will happen. He won't gain much benefit and will only cause a lot of trouble.

"Let's go."

Lu Jin'an said to himself, glanced at the already buried grave, and, unwilling to linger, gathered wind elemental power and activated Wind Track - Swift Movement.

Their bodies felt light, and they were slowly lifted up by a gust of wind, flying rapidly towards the Xuefeng Mountain Post Station at low altitude.
