Great Voyage: My Summoned Creatures Can Level Up While Idle
Chapter 108 Pure-hearted Cat Girl
Chapter 108 Pure-hearted Cat Girl
Roya seemed to understand something; no wonder Mayor Locke was so interested in maritime trade.
He also decided that on his next voyage, he would buy the specialties of Blacksmith Island and transport them to the next island to sell.
After completing the handover of the goods, Roya found Arya and Sophia and entered the city from Hammer Bay Port.
To enter the inner city from the dock, one must pass through an archway flanked by statues of dwarf warriors, each ten meters tall.
The statues pulled out warhammers that crossed to form an archway, which is known as the Black Stone Gate.
Once inside the city, the streets become even more lively and festive.
The air was filled with the aroma of ale, and the streets were bustling with people, mostly dwarves and humans, with the occasional orc or lizardman.
There are no elves, whether half-elves or elves, who all despise dwarven cities and would never set foot on the island.
Similarly, the dwarves also found the elven cities to be flashy and completely impractical, and they would not go to the island where the elves lived.
Roya's impression of Blackrock City was that it was huge, with streets wide enough for eight carriages to travel side by side.
My second impression was that it was all gray and drab. There were no green plants in the entire city, and the floors were made of large granite blocks.
The walls of the houses on both sides are rough and thick, also made of granite and limestone, making them very practical.
This is a city carved out of black stone.
At this moment, Sophia spoke up, "We can check into the Warriors Inn."
"That's a hotel that caters specifically to extraordinary individuals. The service is impeccable, and there are even innocent catgirl receptionists. Even the most discerning nobles wouldn't find a single fault with it."
Roya's ears perked up as he caught the phrase "pure-hearted catgirl."
He immediately said, "Then let's go to the Warriors Inn. We're not short of money anyway."
Sophia's lips curled up, and she looked at Roya with a half-smile.
Luo Ya couldn't help but feel a little guilty.
Aria, however, asked with a face full of curiosity, "Sophia, have you ever been to Blacksmith Island? How do you know so much about it?"
"Just read more books." Sophia reached out and ruffled Aria's long red hair.
"Reading? I just want to sleep whenever I touch them." Aria quickly shook her head.
When she couldn't sleep on the Velvet, she would pick up a book and fall asleep within five minutes.
As the three chatted and laughed, they crossed two streets and a huge hotel located at a three-way intersection came into view.
The building's exterior is also gray and has a heavy, rocky feel. It has three floors, and the main entrance is a thick wooden door covered with sheet metal on the outside.
The windows on the second floor are small, with iron frames and glass interiors.
The building has a sign that reads "Warrior's Inn" in both Dwarven and Common Human languages.
There was also a bed sign next to it.
After curiously looking around, Luo Ya and his two companions discovered that this place was more like a small fortress than a hotel.
Of course, the whole island is in this style, so there's no way to find fault with it.
The three entered the Warriors Inn. The lobby was spacious, and the ceiling was inlaid with white crystals that emitted a soft glow.
The floor is still polished granite, the counter is made of wood, and there is a green potted plant on each side.
"Huh, is nobody here?" Roya walked up to the counter and saw only a fluffy, snow-white cat, and couldn't help but ask.
The white cat, curled up in a ball, immediately got up upon hearing the noise.
This was actually a creature half a meter tall, with fluffy white fur, wearing an apron with the words "Warrior Hotel" printed on it, standing on two legs.
The cat-man.
The cat-person spoke, its voice like a vibrant female voice: "Welcome, meow! I'm Chloe, the receptionist at the Warrior's Inn!"
Sophia, standing nearby, softly introduced the creatures to the stunned Roya and Aria: "These are the Orc subspecies, the Elune, from the Far East. They prefer to walk on two legs and can learn to communicate using the common human language."
Luo Ya also realized that this was the innocent catgirl that Sophia had mentioned.
Luo Ya couldn't help but give Sophia a speechless look.
Sophia covered her mouth and chuckled softly.
Arya's gaze at Chloe was incredibly bright; she couldn't resist reaching out to touch her.
Chloe immediately covered her head with her hands and squatted on the counter, shouting loudly, "You can't just touch meow! If you want to touch Chloe's head, you have to bribe her with a little yellow fish, meow!"
"A small yellow croaker? No problem." A blush of excitement appeared on Aria's face as she immediately reached out and took out the [Secret Treasure Chest].
Roya held down Aria's hand and said, "It's not too late to pet the cat after we book the room."
There are many people coming and going outside the gate, so it's best not to reveal the [Secret Treasure Chest].
Looking at this adorable cat-like demi-human, Roya felt a little itchy to pet it!
Upon hearing this, Chloe looked up and earnestly explained, "You can book a double suite, meow!"
"There are two double bedrooms and a living room inside."
Each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet.
"In addition, the hotel offers daily housekeeping and complimentary rye bread and two jugs of ale, meow!"
Chloe raised her chubby cat paw and said.
"This one will do," Roya nodded.
Sophia and Aria did not object, and the two women often slept together on the ship.
"Okay, meow. Because of the Harvest Festival, a double suite costs 30 silver coins per day. How many days do you need to book, meow?" Chloe asked, blinking her big, watery eyes.
"Let's book two weeks in advance," Roya said after thinking for a moment.
He took out his money bag and pulled out four shiny gold coins and twenty silver coins.
"There's a discount for staying three days or more; it only costs 392 silver coins, meow." Chloe accepted four gold coins and took out eight silver coins from the cash box, placing them on the table.
The fluffy, chubby cat ball pressed the silver coin in its paw and pushed it in front of Roya.
"Oh, thank you, Chloe Meow." Roya said, putting the change back into her purse.
"My name is Chloro, not Chloro Meow!" Chloro corrected, then handed each of the three of them a small metal tag with the number 312 on it.
The sign was imbued with a faint magical aura; it was an alchemical artifact.
"This is the key to your room, meow." Chloe said, then tapped a small metal bell next to the counter.
Soon after, a cat-like demi-human wearing the same apron, with a maid outfit underneath, came out.
But she wasn't white; she was a calico cat with white fur mixed with black fur.
Chloe introduced, "Her name is Cocolan, she's my cousin, and like me, she's a member of the Elune clan."
"She doesn't speak Common Tongue, but she can understand it. You can tell her what you need, meow."
"Meow~" Cocolan lifted her maid's skirt and gave the three of them a greeting.
