Game of Thrones: Dance of the Dragons
Chapter 51 Five Dragons Attack Tyrosine
Damon saw through Baylor's intention and asked with interest, "Are you trying to take advantage of the information gap to catch Mill off guard?"
Baylor admitted, "It's less about catching it off guard and more about intimidating Reese and Mill."
"As far as I know, among the three kingdoms of daughters, Tyrosi has contributed the most. It is located closest to the Stone Steps Islands and is also fond of human trafficking, low-end wine and women, and some kind of strange armor."
For the past century since the Targaryen family ruled Westeros, Tyrothy has been plundering merchant ships belonging to noble ladies. Their aim is to abduct high-quality women for training and human trafficking.
"My cousin is right. Our Valerian family also has quite a few merchant ships, which were robbed by those wolves of Tyrosi!"
"It would be a waste for the five of us dragon riders to gather here if we didn't teach these bastards a lesson!"
Lannino rubbed his hands together expectantly, waiting for everyone's command to immediately ride Sea Smoke towards Tyrosi.
Lannar is equally young and ambitious. Riding the greatest dragon, Vaghar, she must also want to achieve her own feats in war, just like her mother!
Renis was the first to express her approval, saying, "Your idea is good."
"But our orders are only to reclaim the Stone Steps Islands. If we rashly ride dragons to attack Tyrosi, what if the Kingdom of the Three Daughters reports us to Viserys..."
Rhaenys wasn't against it; what worried her more was that Viserys would listen to slander and develop unnecessary suspicion and wariness towards the newly returned Valerian family.
The continent of Westeros also relies heavily on trade with free trading city-states, otherwise it may face hostility from other nobles and lords.
"This is easy to handle. Apart from the five of us, just tell Lord Corliss and Sir Wimond."
"If the Imperial Council comes to ask, just say that the navy of the Three Daughters Kingdom intended to retake the Stone Steps Islands, and that we had no choice but to attack the Tyrosian navy with dragons in order to protect our gains."
Beller had already planned this before attacking the Steppes.
Two plans: one to weaken the Sea Serpents and the Valerian family.
Another option is to find an opportunity to destroy the navy of the Three Daughters Kingdom, giving himself and Westeros a period of stable development.
After all, only when the prince reaches the age of 18 and is named crown prince will he be able to lead his family members to conquer all directions without any scruples!
"Cousin, our king's eldest son has spoken, so don't be disrespectful," Damon teased Rhaenys.
Not only Damon, but even her two children looked at her with expectant eyes.
Renis didn't hesitate any longer, "Okay, but we must finish this quickly and absolutely not linger."
The five agreed immediately. Rhaenys, riding the fastest dragon, would go first to report the plan to the sea serpent, while the other four dragon riders would quickly fly to Tyrosi.
……
Telosi, a port city.
Ragged slaves, whipped by their slave owners, were unloading cargo from the merchant ship one by one.
The slave owners planned to sell the captured men and women to Rhys and Mill, respectively, where the profits were highest.
Suddenly, a deep roar came, causing a working slave to look up and point in confusion into the distance.
"Sir, it looks like something is flying over there."
Snapped--
The slave owner's whip lashed heavily onto the slave's body.
"Stop giving me these excuses and get to work moving the goods!"
As he spoke, he subconsciously turned his head to look at the sea.
Suddenly, a massive black creature sped toward the port.
"Roar—"
A series of muffled, booming dragon roars echoed.
Before the slave owners and slaves could react, the dragon had already stirred up a gale with its black wings, overturning all the goods and people.
"Dragon Flame!"
At a command, eerie green dragon flames sprayed down, precisely burning every merchant ship that docked at the shore.
The scorching flames burned the slave owners and soldiers on the ship to ashes, and screams of agony echoed throughout the harbor.
"Look at the sky!"
Upon hearing the sound, all the slaves looked up at the sky at the same time, and saw a giant beast with a body as black as steel, a size comparable to half a castle, and a face like the Grim Reaper flying over them.
The behemoth used its eerie green flames to precisely attack the fleeing slave owners and soldiers.
"My God, what kind of monster is this?!"
"Run! Or you'll die here!"
In just a few seconds, the once peaceful port was thrown into chaos.
Beller, riding the Glutton, skillfully bypassed the slaves and turned upwards to attack the soldiers on the city wall who were drawing their bows and arrows.
Faced with overwhelming power, these soldiers were like living sheep, burning alive in the dragon's flames amidst grief and screams.
"Hiss—!"
Immediately following, four more extremely intimidating dragon roars echoed throughout the entire port of Tyrosi.
First to appear were two crimson dragons.
Amidst the orange dragon flames, one attacked the city gates of Tyrosi, while the other, like a black dragon, rose into the sky, attacking the soldiers on the city walls and the buildings within the city.
Similarly, they did not attack slaves.
The last two to arrive, Haiyan and Vagehar, may have been different sizes, but their attack and destructive power were in no way inferior to the first three dragons.
They spared the slaves and attacked all merchant ships attempting to reach the shore or escape.
The sudden attack by the five dragons caught the rulers of Tyrosh off guard.
By the time they gathered their soldiers and prepared to counterattack, the walls and gates of Tyrosi had already been covered in dragonfire.
The soldiers and luxurious buildings were all destroyed, leaving only the screams of the slave owners and the slaves running away everywhere.
"Damn it, why would the dragons attack Tyrosi? Aren't they afraid of retaliation from the Kingdom of Three Daughters?!"
A ruler clenched his fist in anger.
But instead of rushing off to his death, he quietly left Tyrosy through the back door with his hundreds of Unsullied.
As the saying goes, "Where there's life, there's hope." Money can be earned back, but life is only once!
The other rulers were not so lucky. They were unwilling to part with money and slaves, so they chose to hide in the underground tunnels they had built, waiting to emerge after the dragon's attack.
Baylor sat on the back of the glutton, coldly watching the almost completely burned Tyrosi.
He knew perfectly well that only the buildings had been destroyed; the people in power and the slave owners were not dead.
To teach the Three Kingdoms a lesson they would never forget, they not only had to destroy their buildings with dragons, but also wipe out all the people in the kingdom.
After some thought, those long-oppressed and numerous slaves might be a good option.
"Glutton, land!"
The glutton slowly flew to the open space outside the window, watching the terrified little insects from above.
"These people are useful to us, don't scare them."
Baelor dismounted from the dragon's back and slowly walked to the group of terrified slaves, speaking in High Valyrian.
"Don't be afraid, I'm not here to kill you, but to help you regain your freedom!"
