Those who fail to keep up with the times will be abandoned by them.

A lack of knowledge limits your thinking.

The current state of the Ace of Spades team can be perfectly summarized by these two sentences.

Not being at the forefront of special operations leaves them struggling to solve problems when faced with the latest high-tech military equipment.

However...

This is only temporary.

Jackie Chan believes that the country's military industrial institutions, such as the General Logistics Department's Military Supplies and Equipment Research Institute, are definitely actively researching individual soldier protective equipment.

This includes modern equipment such as modular bulletproof vests and bulletproof inserts.

The TF-90 bulletproof vest, which has already been developed and is being used on a small scale by the military, has a dragon scale structure made of pieces of bulletproof steel pieced together.

It already has that feel of bulletproof inserts!

According to Jackie Chan's memories from his previous life, the Type 04 bulletproof vest, which will be released in a few years, will have bulletproof inserts, filling a gap in this area in China.

Moreover, the artillery version has four bulletproof plates: one on the chest and abdomen, one on the back, and two under the ribs.

Its defensive capabilities are maxed out!

Defense and offense are always opposites, and the two sides are constantly taking turns advancing. The battle between spear and shield has lasted for thousands of years.

Even now, in the age of firearms, the conflict between spear and shield continues.

With their individual defenses at maximum, how could they quickly eliminate their opponents? The members of the Spade A team were at a loss.

Faced with the students' eager eyes for answers, Jackie Chan didn't keep them in suspense.

He explained, "To eliminate a potentially fully defended enemy, or rather, to eliminate the enemy in the fastest and safest way, this involves the first principle of CQB shooting—"

Absolutely fast, relatively accurate.

You must remember this point, because it is one of the core elements of your entire CQB operation, and you must put it first.

What does "absolutely fast" and "relatively accurate" mean?

When we see a target, we shouldn't immediately pursue precision and aim to hit a vital point with every shot, thinking only of a headshot.

Instead, the priority should be to fire at the opponent as quickly as possible while ensuring a successful shot.

Whether you shoot the opponent in the chest or even the foot, it doesn't matter if the opponent is wearing a bulletproof vest or has bulletproof plates that can stop rifle bullets.

Our requirement is to shoot first, and shoot as quickly as possible, no matter where you hit the body.

That's why it's called absolutely fast and relatively accurate.

So, now I'd like to ask you all, why do we do this? What's the underlying principle? Does anyone know?

Jackie Chan stopped again to ask questions.

Interactive methods increase the fun of teaching and make it easier for students to remember knowledge points.

"I don't know the principle behind it, but I don't think this method is very good, or even terrible," one student said hesitantly.

"Oh?"

Jackie Chan was pleased that someone had raised a question, as it proved he was thinking. He immediately asked, "Why? Tell me your reasons."

"Suppose I fire first and only hit his foot, which wouldn't be fatal, and then he fires back, aiming for my head, wouldn't I die?" the student said.

"Yeah, I think it's better to start with the first one." Tuo Yonggang thought it was a good idea.

Although the other trainees remained silent, it was clear from their eyes that they shared the same opinion as this trainee.

I do not agree with prioritizing speed over accuracy.

It seems that they have become accustomed to the conventional shooting method through day-to-day training, and their mindset has become fixed on "aiming before shooting".

"It's normal for you to have this idea. Literally speaking, that's true. Attacking the head first can eliminate the enemy faster. But war can't be fought on paper."

Jackie Chan shook his head and smiled, then explained in detail: "You may have forgotten that war is not a turn-based game where you shoot him and he shoots you back."

The structure of the human body is very special and cannot be discussed in terms of turn-based systems.

You've probably all heard the saying, "The ten fingers are connected to the heart."

You can kick your toe on a table leg and it will hurt so much that you'll feel dizzy and unable to stand.

If you were hit by a bullet, whether it's in your toes, your kneecap, or somewhere else, what do you think it would be like?

Do you think the pain he experiences is less than the pain you feel when you kick a table with your toes?

Jackie Chan's analogy is so apt; 99% of people have bumped their knees and toes and experienced the pain that can make them faint.

If you hit your opponent first, can you still retaliate while in excruciating pain?

The answer is no!

It won't work, at least not for those one or two seconds.

Seeing the change in the trainees' expressions, Jackie Chan knew they had understood his words. He then explained from a professional perspective: "No matter where pain occurs in the human body, it will spread throughout the whole body."

Especially at the moment pain occurs, a large number of pain-sensing electrical impulses rush to the brain, causing the brain's command transmission to be restricted.

This can cause the body to stiffen for a short period of time, making it unable to react.

Even for someone with the strongest tolerance, or someone with bulletproof plates and vests to absorb some of the impact, the pain from the kinetic energy of a bullet is enough to freeze them for at least two seconds.

In movies, when people are shooting at each other with guns, their bodies covered in blood and flesh, yet they don't fall down and can hold out for more than ten seconds, that's purely an artistic expression.

Normally, even if two people fire at each other at the same time, they would each only be hit once before falling to the ground.

The excruciating pain from being hit by a bullet made it impossible for him to pull the trigger a second time in those one or two seconds.

It's even less likely that he could fire seven or eight bullets in a row and hit the enemy with every shot.

Therefore, you must remember the six words of the first principle of CQB shooting: absolutely fast, relatively accurate. Integrate this into your muscle memory. Do you understand?

"Understood!"

All the scholars answered in unison.

The sound was very loud, proving that the doubts had been dispelled and that Jackie Chan's words were highly acknowledged.

"very good!!"

Jackie Chan was very satisfied with the students' learning ability and officially got to the point, saying: "What I just said was all a prelude, to make you understand why it is absolutely fast and relatively accurate."

To achieve absolute speed and relative accuracy, we need special shooting techniques, which is the Mozambique shooting method we will teach in this lesson.

"Mozambique shooting method? What's that?"

All the trainees were once again completely baffled, having never heard of this shooting technique before.

"It's okay if you don't understand. I, your special training instructor, will explain it to you. This is my job, but you must listen carefully."

Jackie Chan first gave stern instructions to the trainees before starting his explanation from the beginning: "The first person to propose the 'Mozambique shooting method' in tactical teaching was an American."

Jeff Cooper, a retired U.S. Marine Corps member and renowned firearms expert.

He frequently provided tactical training to military and police personnel, imparting the most cutting-edge tactical techniques, and was hailed by Americans as the greatest small arms tactics expert of the 20th century.

He was simply the first to propose the Mozambique method and systematize it into a shooting technique.

He wasn't the one who created this shooting method; it was a mercenary named Mike Rousseau.

During his participation in the Mozambican Civil War and the battle for Mozambique International Airport, he encountered a Mozambican Liberation Front guerrilla armed with an AK-47 assault rifle.

He only had a Browning pistol, putting him at a significant disadvantage in terms of firepower.

After a moment of panic, Rousseau fired two shots in quick succession, hitting the partisan in the chest repeatedly, thinking that the man would never get up again.

But as soon as he lowered his gun to catch his breath, he discovered that the other person was still alive and trying to shoot him.

Rousseau was terrified and hurriedly raised his pistol to shoot the man in the head, but instead broke his spine, which was the only time the man truly died.

After the war ended in 1992, Rousseau told his teacher Jeff Cooper about this experience.

Jeff thought that student Mike's shooting method—two shots to the chest and abdomen to paralyze or weaken the opponent, followed by a shot to the head—was a very practical combination.

So it was named 'Mozambique Shooting Method' and incorporated into my teaching...

Jackie Chan vividly explained the origin and general outline of Mozambique shooting techniques, just like telling a story, and the students listened with great interest.

Jackie Chan then vividly recounted, "Now that we've finished explaining the origins of the Mozambique shooting method, I'll tell you about its theoretical basis."

The entire process of the Mozambique design method perfectly aligns with the first principle of CQB (Combat QB): absolute speed and relative accuracy.

When we fire two shots to the head, we prioritize speed. We can use the double-tap technique to fire in quick succession. It doesn't matter where you hit, as long as you get a hit on the body.

However, it's best to aim for the chest and abdomen area.

Because when we are moving and holding the gun at a certain height, the line of fire will inevitably be around the chest and abdomen, so we can shoot without moving the muzzle height, which will be faster.

Secondly, the chest encompasses organs such as the heart and lungs. In the center of the human chest is the manubrium of the sternum, behind which is the spine, which contains a large number of nerves. Two major arteries and veins pass through the human chest and neck.

The vast majority of people do not survive a bullet wound to the chest.

Even if the enemy is wearing a plated bulletproof vest, it can still produce an excellent immobilization effect, making the enemy unable to resist and turning them into a sitting duck.

We then take advantage of this time to precisely aim at the enemy's head in 0.5 seconds and kill him on the spot with one shot.

From spotting the enemy to completing the Mozambique, the entire process usually takes about 1.5 seconds, which is equivalent to a set of combos in martial arts.

The overall design logic is: control with the first two shots, kill with the third, achieving the effect of "two shots to the chest and one to the head, even the King of Hell would shake his head."

At this point, Jackie Chan paused for a moment, then emphasized: "There must be a short pause between the first two shots and the third shot to ensure accurate aiming. The third shot must be a headshot."

You must never fire all three shots in a row just for the sake of a smooth and satisfying experience.

Because if you miss with your third shot, the enemy will be able to recover from their stun, and whether you can fire a fourth shot becomes uncertain.

In close-quarters firefights indoors, life and death hang in the balance in 0.5 seconds; there is absolutely no room for carelessness.

He explained the entire Mozambique shooting exercise in detail, covering all the theories and logic, and added a key point to note at the end.

Jackie Chan's theoretical teaching process has officially come to an end at this point.

The trainees generally understood what was going on, grasped the principles of the Mozambique shooting method, and understood why the Mozambique was used.

The next step is practical application, transforming knowledge into skills through practice.

Wu Zhe's reserve team had already retrieved the ammunition and set up the targets during Jackie Chan's explanation.

"Alright, now it's time for the practice. I'll give you a demonstration first. Now everyone go to the armorer and collect four full magazines each. After you've collected your ammunition, gather at my location."

After assigning the Ace of Spades team to collect ammunition, Jackie Chan turned to Wu Zhe and asked, "Did you find the black duct tape I asked for?"

"Here it is, here it is."

Wu Zhe trotted over quickly, handed a bag of black duct tape to Jackie Chan, and asked, "Aren't we doing target practice later? What's this for?"

You'll find out soon enough.

Jackie Chan took the bag from Wu Zhe and walked towards the target.

Wu Zhe followed behind and whispered, "Instructor, I saw the Mozambique shooting method you just taught me in an English military magazine."

I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but after hearing what you said just now, I think he's quite interesting.

Look, our preparatory group has finished their work, and since we're just killing time anyway, and I understand what they said, why don't I join in and practice too?

"Alright, go get the ammunition."

Wu Zhe's good attitude makes it easier for Jackie Chan to talk to him.

"Thank you, instructor!"

Wu Zhe was truly convinced. He lost all pride in front of Jackie Chan, stood at attention happily, saluted, and then ran towards the armorer.

Three minutes later.

The Ace of Spades team and the reserve team were ready and assembled in front of Jackie Chan, less than 10 meters away from the target.

"Before the formal training, I'll teach you one more little trick that will be very useful on the battlefield."

Jackie Chan picked up two fully loaded Type 95 magazines, crossed them end to end, with the inserts protruding about two centimeters, and tied them together with black tape.

"What are you doing?"

More than 20 students looked puzzled, completely unable to understand what it meant.

Jackie Chan didn't say anything while he was wrapping the two magazines tightly, until he had inserted one of them into the gun.

He then explained to the trainees, "This is a good pre-battle preparation technique called a double magazine. Its function is to greatly speed up the reloading speed."

Compared to the normal reloading process, it reduces the need to take the ammunition from the magazine.

When one of the magazines is empty, simply remove it, turn it 180 degrees, and reinsert it to fire immediately.

The entire reloading process takes no more than two seconds, saving at least 5 to 10 seconds compared to taking it from the magazine.

If you practice enough, you can switch in a second, like I can.

After Jackie Chan finished speaking, he did something like magic, gripping the magazine with his right hand, pressing down on the latch with his thumb, pulling it down, then turning his hand 180 degrees to the right and inserting it back in with his left hand.

The magazine change took just over a second.

"Holy crap, you can do that?"

The trainees were seeing such amazing operations for the first time, and they were all truly amazed.

I was utterly shocked!

"If you can achieve my speed, the reload time is almost negligible, which is equivalent to loading 60 bullets at the same time. There are more bullets than a drum magazine, but the volume is much smaller than a drum magazine, so it will not affect the holding of the gun. In the first wave of fire, you can have an absolute advantage," Jackie Chan explained.

Actually, Jackie Chan doesn't need any explanation at all. His magical magazine-changing technique is so amazing that it's like he's just showing off.

They were all young men in their early twenties, so how could they not be crazy about such a cool skill?

I can't wait!

Jackie Chan was pleased to see everyone's eyes light up. He was happy that a little trick could make everyone happy and boost their fighting power.

Pointing to the bags on the ground, he said, "There is black tape in here. Everyone take a bundle. You have three minutes. Each of you should prepare a double-barreled magazine."

In three minutes, I will give you a demonstration of Mozambique shooting, and then you will officially begin live-fire practice.

After the training session this afternoon, I will organize a small assessment before you go back to verify your learning outcomes. This assessment will also be linked to your elimination score.

My requirements for you are not high. As long as you can complete the Mozambique within three seconds from a distance of 10 meters and hit three targets in a row, I will give you full marks.

If you can't do that, then I'm sorry, everyone will lose 10 points.

"You need to succeed three times within three seconds?"

The trainees, who were all smiles just a moment ago, suddenly became frowning and looked worried. They all felt immense pressure.

Although the preparatory group doesn't have to take a small assessment, it's still more difficult than for the Ace of Spades group.

Because there are only 16 targets in a row at the shooting range, each of the Ace of Spades trainees occupies one target, but the eight trainees in their reserve group can only use one.

How should the allocation be arranged?

Wu Zhe and the seven reserve team members stared at each other blankly.
