Soldiers' Assault: Veteran Special Agents and New Recruits

Chapter 151: The tactical training ground is completed; let's start practicing CQB!

Chapter 152: The Tactical Training Grounds are Completed, Time to Start CQB Practice! (Please Subscribe)

After a month of hard work, the trainees have completed the basic training in CQB and are now ready to begin team CQB, requiring the use of tactical terrain.

After about 20 days of construction by the engineering corps, the final results were mixed.

The good news is that the tactical field has been completed.

As a construction team of professional engineers, building houses is their specialty. With construction drawings provided by Jackie Chan, they can create impressive structures by following the drawings.

The main structure was completed in 15 days, and the pedestrian overpass above it was completed in 20 days.

The remaining three or four days were spent improving the tactical field and adding the necessary elements under Jackie Chan's personal command.

For example, doors, windows, partitions, and simulated furniture should be added first.

The bad thing is that the Killing House is still not completed. The construction progress is far behind the initial plan. Based on the current progress, it will take at least another half a month to complete.

The main reason is not that the technology is not up to par, but that what Jackie Chan wants to do is too "new".

These technicians transferred from the engineering corps had only ever heard of building blocks, but never of a house that could be assembled like building blocks.

The concept of modular housing was too advanced for them; they had absolutely no experience with it.

It's like being a beginner!

They could only follow the design drawings made by Jackie Chan step by step, cutting out suitable steel and plates and having them piece them together.

The problem is...

It won't work whether you compete on a larger or smaller scale.

If two modular walls are made and their two sides cannot be joined together, it's as if two scraps have been made.

The grooves along the edges of every house wall must be of uniform height.

This way, it can be like a Lego puzzle, where no matter which piece you take out, you can perfectly fit two pieces together and lock them in place.

Whether it's a pure wall module, a wall module with a door, or a wall module with a window, the dimensions must be consistent.

And the left side must be the shady side and the right side the sunny side.

This presents a significant challenge to manufacturing. Care must be taken when cutting the materials to varying lengths and shapes, otherwise they will definitely not be able to be welded together later.

Having design drawings is useless; you can only measure inch by inch with a ruler.

It is difficult to manufacture, has a novel design theme, requires extremely high precision, and has never been seen before.

All these factors combined resulted in a slow production rate for the Killing House module, forcing them to slowly figure out how to manufacture it.

The only saving grace is that as more and more are produced, the craftsmen's skills become more and more proficient, and the production speed is gradually increasing.

The construction period was half a month slower than expected.

It's still barely within Jackie Chan's acceptable range.

Anyway, the S·T course is the third stage of training. The second stage of training is CQB teamwork, and the tactical field has been completed and can take over.

Day 31 of the pilot reform training!

Jackie Chan gathered all the trainees together and led them to the newly completed tactical training ground. Pointing to the "monster room" made of cement and tires, he announced, "The second phase of the pilot reform training officially begins now."

The students of Ace of Spades, who had been learning various basic knowledge for a month and were eager to show off, were very excited when they heard the news.

"All trainees, get onto the iron bridge. I will demonstrate the various techniques of CQB combat in the tactical field. I will only demonstrate them once."

After giving the order, Jackie Chan picked up his Type 95 rifle and went to the door of the tactical room.

The newly built tactical room welcomed its first guest.

"From the moment you walk in, the team's CQB must strictly follow the techniques I teach you."

By moving in an arc from left to right while standing at the doorway, you can see the area inside the doorway. The sum of this area and the area you are moving within is the dangerous death funnel zone.

Within this area, both you and the enemy can see and attack each other by switching positions, hence the name "Death Funnel Zone".

The process of switching positions is called corner cutting.

No matter how you cut the corner, you can't see the blind spots on both sides of the door, which we call safe corners. In CQB operations, if you want to break down a door, try to stay in a safe corner before breaking down the door.

Because you cannot determine the enemy's location, you must be wary of enemies inside the house firing blindly through the door.

In doorways where there is no door or the door is damaged, you must cut the corner as I have done.

Note that the angle-cutting motion is very important; watch my movements carefully.

With toes pointing forward and arms close to the chest, turn sideways and hold the gun in your right hand when cutting from the left, and switch to holding the gun in your left hand when cutting from the right.

Holding the gun with both hands is basic operation. The gun, body, and toes should all be in a straight line. The muzzle should be locked inside the room, and the gun should be moved in a compass-like motion.

As Jackie Chan spoke, he made excuses, moving his body as he said he would.

"The compass-style arc movement for cutting corners is the best way to cut corners in front of the door, bar none. You must practice this movement to the point of perfection."

Keep your body and gun in a straight line at all times, so that when the enemy can see your toes, elbows, or any part of your body, your gun is locked on his head.

Instead of exposing other parts of your body first, causing the enemy to fire on your exposed area before you even turn around.

Jackie Chan explained things in great detail, and his actions were also very well demonstrated.

The 15 trainees standing on the pedestrian overpass can make perfect observations from a bird's-eye view looking down, and memorize the key points of the movements.

Having discussed the most important scene cut in CQB, Jackie Chan plays multiple roles.

They demonstrated their movements one by one at the entrance, taking on the roles of assault soldier, gunner, squad commander, observer/sniper, and medical support staff.

And what kind of work needs to be done at each position when entering the door.

The most taboo things to do were also mentioned and reminded.

Once the squad has successfully advanced into the building and has not been detected by the enemy, what method should be used for Closed Quarters Battle (CQB) under silent stealth conditions?

If you are accidentally exposed upon entering a building, or if a battle has begun and you can only change your strategy from stealth to ambush, what method should you use for Closed Quarters Battle (CQB)?

Jackie Chan personally demonstrated and explained it.

It was also mentioned that breaking through the goal is a crucial element in CQB operations.

In indoor combat, the most common enemy is a door. How can you break through these doors in a relatively safe environment and eliminate the enemies inside?

This is a profound technology!

Jackie Chan first taught three ways to break down a door.

These are breaching the door using a door breaching tool, a door breaching pick, and explosives.

The breaching gun needs to be specially made, and the bullets also need to be specially made; they can't be produced in a short time.

The first method is the most dangerous way to breach a door. It is only suitable to use a breaching tool when it is certain that the enemy does not have weapons of mass destruction and that the breaching force is overwhelming.

Holding a cylindrical door-breaking tool weighing about 10 or 20 pounds, he smashed the door lock repeatedly.

The most suitable candidates are actually special police and armed police.

Because when special police and armed police face enemies, they are most likely unarmed, or armed with a knife, or at most, armed criminals with homemade guns.

The thugs' weapons were too weak; they were practically harmless through the door.

You can confidently take the door-breaking tool, stand in front of the door, and start pounding on it.

If it were a thug armed with lethal weapons, standing at the door and using a battering ram to smash the lock, the danger would be far too great; he would most likely be shot through the wall and killed.

A breaching pick is much safer. You can hide in a safe corner by the door and the wall, insert the pick into the door crack, and use the lever to pry the door open, which can effectively avoid a lot of risks.

However, the breaching pick has significant limitations.

Many doors have concealed gaps, making it impossible to insert a pickaxe.

The best method is still targeted blasting!

Install C4 in the door lock and hinges, pull the detonator cord to detonate it, and with just one loud bang, the entire door will be blown away.

Then throw a grenade into the house, and once the enemies inside are stunned, you can rush in and easily wipe them out.

First throw a grenade to enter and explode, then rush in and start shooting.

This trench warfare tactic, which originated from World War I, has been used for nearly a century and is still in use today, even becoming the mainstream of CQB (Combat Battle).

Jackie Chan spent the entire afternoon giving the trainees a basic CQB (Close Quarters Battle) demonstration.

This will give each trainee a general idea of what each position should do in CQB operations.

As for the remaining details, Jackie Chan will correct them one by one after the students have finished their studies.

Day 32!

There were no indoor classes in the morning; all the trainees were taken to the tactical field.

Before the formal training began, Jackie Chan divided the 15 trainees into three groups and assigned a group leader to each group.

The remaining four people were assigned to their posts.

They are respectively the lead assault soldier, sniper observer, firepower breacher, and medical support officer.

Five people form a combat team and enter the tactical field to conduct team CQB, leveraging their teamwork to eliminate the enemy.

Many human-shaped targets were randomly placed in the tactical field, and the targets were divided into two types: hostage targets and criminal targets.

Each team needs to rescue hostages, locate and eliminate all the criminals, and the tactical language must be accurate and matched.

Points will be deducted for any tactical language errors.

Forgot tactical language, points deducted.

Killing a hostage results in a point deduction.

Both sides were within the firing range, and if the attacker was not killed within one second, points were deducted.

……

Jackie Chan has set out a lot of deduction criteria, more than 20 in total, and they are posted right next to the entrance of the tactical arena, so every member entering can see them.

Seeing the long list of deductions, every trainee felt a chill run down their spine.

The CQB paintball gun is not yet finished; to be precise, the gun is finished, but the paintball production is still overcoming technical challenges.

The problem mainly stemmed from the material of the plastic bullet.

Bullets made of plastic that are too tough will not have enough kinetic energy after leaving the barrel, so they will not explode when they hit the body and will not leave obvious colored spots.

Increasing the explosive charge would indeed cause it to explode, but the kinetic energy would exceed the standard.

Even if you are hit through a layer of clothing, it will leave a large bruise and severely damage the subcutaneous tissue, which will take a long time to recover.

Using paintballs for combat training, the trainees will be covered in bruises after just a few days of training.

Extensive bruising and necrosis on the body can have long-term consequences.

However, if the bullet is made of plastic with poor toughness, it will explode immediately upon hitting the body.

However, this type of bullet is too unstable. It usually cracks when more than half of it is still inside the barrel due to the impact of the gunpowder.

The other half barely protruded from the barrel and would shatter into pieces under air pressure.

It will turn into a shotgun-like weapon, hitting the target and creating a large area of colorful dots.

This won't work either!

How to get right to that critical point and create a bullet with perfect toughness and strength is the challenge that the experts at the A-team's repair shop are currently working on.

Until paintball guns are available, Jackie Chan has no choice but to use live ammunition as a temporary substitute.

Using targets instead of real people as enemies, although the training effect is not that good, since targets are inanimate, it is the only option at present.

With all the rules and team assignments arranged, the first group of team members officially entered the arena and began their first team-based competitive battle (CQB) experience.

The leader of the first group is Wu Zhe.

Given Wu Zhe's exceptional comprehension and talent, Jackie Chan had high hopes for him leading the first group.

Jackie Chan can accept a total deduction of 10 points or less.
