Soldiers' Assault: Veteran Special Agents and New Recruits

Chapter 204 I'm in big trouble! (Seeking monthly votes)

Wu Liuyi watched Xu Sanduo walk up to draw a prize, and then looked at the upright and incorruptible Jackie Chan.

He couldn't understand it, yet he could.

Wu Liuyi couldn't understand why Jackie Chan didn't just call Xu Sanduo "boss" since they were all from the same village and Xu Sanduo even called Jackie Chan "boss" so affectionately.

Since four spots have already been pre-selected, no one will say anything if Xu Sanduo is added.

The understanding is that Xu Sanduo is indeed not outstanding enough, and he is not quite up to par with other assault soldiers. Assault soldiers are a very important position, and with limited personnel, it is necessary to select the best among the best.

If it were Wu Liuyi choosing, he wouldn't choose Xu Sanduo first either.

Xu Sanduo himself is also self-aware. He still vividly remembers the scene when Jackie Chan kicked him in anger during a previous drug bust.

Therefore, Xu Sanduo did not harbor any resentment or dissatisfaction at Jackie Chan not choosing him directly.

I just hope I can be drawn into the lottery, and then perform well in the competition, do something meaningful, and not hold the team back.

The other Ace of Spades players who came up to draw lots were also filled with hope.

The assault is on the left, and logistics are on the right.

Six assault team members, including Xu Sanduo, stepped forward one by one with nervous anticipation and took a slip of paper from Jackie Chan's hand.

"Gurgle~"

A gurgling sound from the Adam's apple.

The six team members who received the slips of paper were very nervous, as if they were scratching a lottery ticket worth 10 billion yuan, and carefully opened the slips of paper.

"Yay, I got the answer! I won! Haha!"

One of the attackers on the right shouted excitedly, startling everyone else.

Xu Sanduo was so frightened that he trembled and dropped the note in his hand to the ground. He quickly bent down to pick it up, afraid of hearing a second sound.

If anyone still claims there's writing on his note, then Xu Sanduo is doomed without even opening it.

He hurriedly picked up the note and opened it. The words "Assault Teamman" written in black ballpoint pen appeared prominently in the center of the note.

"Haha, I won too! I can participate in the competition now, haha."

Xu Sanduo was genuinely excited and jumped up and down with joy, holding up the note.

"Wow, that's pretty lucky."

"Three things to do: keep a calm mind, keep a calm mind."

Tuo Yonggang and Wu Zhe were once roommates, and they had the best relationship with Xu Sanduo. They both sent their congratulations immediately and were willing to become teammates with Xu Sanduo.

Wu Liuyi is introverted and reserved, rarely expressing his joy, anger, sorrow, or happiness.

Even when Xu Sanduo was so broken, it didn't break him.

He did not speak.

She just smiled faintly.

As Xu Sanduo's former deputy squad leader, Wu Liuyi has a very special feeling towards Xu Sanduo, which includes expectations, sighs, and above all, relief.

I witnessed Xu Sanduo's transformation from a bad soldier to a decent one, successfully joining the A Brigade, and eventually being selected for the Ace of Spades Commando Team.

Become the king of kings among kings of soldiers!

It's like watching your silly younger brother grow up and mature step by step.

"Good heavens, is this the chosen one of this world?"

Jackie Chan couldn't help but sigh inwardly!

He deliberately didn't directly select Xu Sanduo because he genuinely didn't want to bring Xu Sanduo along. The intensity of the competition this time was so great that he was worried Xu Sanduo wouldn't be able to handle it mentally.

However, the remaining assault soldiers were just as capable as Xu Sanduo.

It doesn't matter who you choose.

It's not good to choose either one.

However, despite the odds being one in three, Xu Sanduo was still successfully selected.

Luck is also part of strength.

Since Xu Sanduo was selected by luck, Jackie Chan would not say anything more, nor would he have any prejudice. All team members would be treated equally.

He announced to the public, "Alright, the draw is over."

The final two spots have been decided: Xu Sanduo, a front-line assault soldier, and Yang Songlin, a medical support soldier.

The rest of you, though not selected, must still be ready at all times. All of you will serve as substitutes at the camp. If anything unexpected happens, you must be able to step in immediately. Do you all understand?

There is a resurrection mechanism in competitive matches.

If a player is injured during the competition and is unable to participate in the remaining matches, the replacement player will be chosen from the reserve team.

"clear!"

All team members answered in unison.

"Very good. After we disperse, start writing your personal supplies list immediately."

This competition is a protracted war, lasting at least four days. You all need to carefully consider how to pack your personal supplies.

The reserve players also need to make a list, ready to go on the field at any time. That's it, dismissed.

Jackie Chan gave the order, sat down in his notebook, wrote down the list of participants for the competition, tore off the page, and left the meeting room.

As the leading officer of the Ace of Spades Commando Team, Yuan Lang has his own independent dormitory.

It also serves as an office, making one room serve two purposes.

When Jackie Chan came to find Yuan Lang, Yuan Lang was writing a report on the anti-drug operation, which required him to write down the details of the process.

Furthermore, the performance of each member of the Ace of Spades during the operation must be recorded one by one.

After writing it, organize it into a report, take it back after the competition ends, and hand it over to the battalion commander, Railway, for review. Both the good and the bad parts must be picked out.

After the entire list is written out, the team leader, Railway, still needs to submit it.

Not only the Capital Military Region, but also the General Staff Department in charge, instructed their superiors to make a final summary of the operation based on this report.

Criticize what deserves criticism, reward those who deserve merit, and implement what needs to be implemented.

"Okay, put the list here. I'll finish writing the last part of the operation report and then hand it over to the exercise department. You need to list out what supplies you need today. There are only three days left, and the exercise department won't be able to mobilize them if it gets too late."

Yuan Lang tilted his head to indicate the empty space next to the desk, and continued to write his report on the paper.

"Okay, I'll hand it in before dinner."

Seeing that Yuan Lang was so busy with work, Jackie Chan didn't linger any longer. He put the contestant list on the table, turned around, and left the office.

Yuan Lang was extremely busy, and the exercise department was equally busy.

The same goes for the Ace of Spades Commando!

When Jackie Chan rushed back to the dormitory, Wu Zhe and Tuo Yonggang were both lying on the edge of the bed with their butts sticking up, writing and drawing in their notebooks.

Tuo Yonggang seemed to have encountered a problem, biting his pen and looking conflicted.

"What's wrong? Gangzi, the way you look... it's like you're constipated," Jackie Chan asked as he walked over.

"Captain, you're back."

Tuo Yonggang greeted them and said hesitantly, "This competition will definitely involve skydiving under three conditions: no air, no fire, and no air supply, and we will be carrying high-altitude parachutes."

My highest historical record is carrying 40 kilograms, and after removing the loose packs, I still had 30 kilograms left.

Night vision goggles, gas mask, raincoat, camouflage cloth, tactical flashlight and batteries, sleeping bag, laser simulation combat system, bulletproof vest and bulletproof helmet, etc., these equipment are estimated to weigh around 20 kilograms in total.

With only 10 kilograms of load remaining, and after deducting the 3.25 kilograms of rifle weight, only a little over 6 kilograms are left.

Assault soldiers must carry a large number of grenades, with a basic configuration of at least 5 stun grenades and 5 fragmentation grenades, leaving them with less than 3 kilograms of weight.

With this much weight, you not only have to carry four days' worth of food and drink, but also enough ammunition for at least four battles.

This weight is far from enough; it's going to kill someone.

As Tuo Yonggang spoke, he scratched his head. If he hadn't already been short-haired, his hair would probably have been ripped out, and he would have become a bald man.

"Carrying heavy loads is indeed a big problem."

Wu Zhe shook his head and sighed, "I conservatively estimate that we will have to go through at least 6 to 7 battles before we reach the fourth strategic point for resupply."

Assuming a minimum of two magazines per battle, you need to carry at least 14 magazines.

95式弹匣满弹重量是540克，带14个弹匣的重量就达到了7560克，也就是相当于7点5公斤。

I conservatively estimate that the food and water needed for four days would weigh at least 5 kilograms, bringing the total weight to nearly 13 kilograms.

Tuo Yonggang is right. With a load of 40 kilograms, after deducting all the basic essential equipment, the remaining 3 kilograms of weight is far too little.

There wasn't enough food or water to carry; the gap was simply too large.

If it's a normal paratrooper jump, and not a high-altitude jump, the parachute pack is less than half the weight, and many supplies don't need to be carried.

The freed-up weight is enough to carry two days' worth of regular food supplies and six full magazines.

However, this competition was quite special, which led to a significant increase in the specifications and quantity of all items, causing the load to spike dramatically.

Whether it's the equipment for assault soldiers or Wu Zhe's equipment for snipers and spotters.

There's a difference of nearly 10 kilograms!

If the Ace of Spades commando team were to parachute with a 50-kilogram load, this problem could be solved perfectly, but it would require a high level of parachuting experience.

Tuo Yonggang, who came from the elite paratrooper unit of the Thousand Years Army, had never performed a parachute jump with a maximum load of 40 kilograms.

Xu Sanduo, Wu Zhe, Wu Liuyi, and others hadn't even jumped a fraction of the number of times Tuo Yonggang had done; they had only just learned how to jump.

Carrying a 40-kilogram load is already very risky, and there is a high possibility that problems will occur during the parachute jump.

Increase the weight to 50 kilograms...

Exceeding the permitted load doubles the risk factor and will inevitably become a huge hidden danger.

For example, if someone falls and gets injured, or even just twists their ankle, it would be a huge disaster in this high-intensity battle.
