Soldiers' Assault: Veteran Special Agents and New Recruits

There were too many people at the armored battalion headquarters, and it was hard to say anything. Besides, the business was done, and it was time to leave.

Long Xiaoyun found Cheng Long and the two got into the car first. Cheng Long drove back to the division headquarters, while Long Xiaoyun sat in the passenger seat and reported the results of the battle to Cheng Long.

The conversation was basically recounted, especially the part about deliberately making phone calls to intimidate people.

Long Xiaoyun laughed as she spoke.

"I never expected that you, Captain Long, would be so cunning. Producer Qiao wasn't wrong; with your acting skills, you'd definitely be a star in a movie, haha." Jackie Chan gave Long Xiaoyun a thumbs up.

"To deal with people like them, you can't be too honest; you have to resort to something wicked," Long Xiaoyun said with a smile.

"This is called using magic to defeat magic," Jackie Chan aptly put it.

"You won't blame me for agreeing to sign a contract with her without consulting me first, will you?" Long Xiaoyun asked.

"How could that be? To put it simply, we're on the same page. To put it more poetically, we're kind of in sync. You've managed to get so much; I'm already overjoyed to reward you. How could I possibly blame you?"

Jackie Chan gave it high praise, and then said in response, "I will inform the training department in a moment and have them adjust the training plan."

By effectively combining anti-seasickness training with the filming of the TV series, both of which require being on a ship, the training results are sure to be excellent.

The biggest weakness of the northern soldiers was their maritime skills; the vast majority of them were not very good swimmers.

Especially since it's impossible to maintain balance on a ship, without training the soldiers to adapt, amphibious operations simply cannot be carried out.

Seasickness is very serious when traveling by boat. If you vomit a lot of food while on a boat, you won't have any energy left when you get off.

Is it okay to stop training if it's still considered training?

That definitely won't work!

Our army is still called the People's Liberation Army, which means that there are still places that have not been liberated.

If a war were to be launched to reclaim the territory in the future, our army would have to cross the sea by boat to get there, so it is essential to practice seasickness resistance training in advance.

"I never expected that by slightly changing my approach, I not only gave Elder Tian enough face, but also solved the most crucial problem of boat selection for seasickness training," Long Xiaoyun remarked.

"Indeed, this has been a great help. Renting a boat for seasickness training would cost at least tens of thousands a day, and completing the training would cost at least hundreds of thousands. Using the film crew's boat for training this time has saved a lot of money," Jackie Chan said happily.

"And another thing, if we can get a dedicated line, it will save us a lot of money. Or, sir, how about we get a batch of high-performance computers for our lab?"

Long Xiaoyun was just saying it casually; she didn't actually want Jackie Chan to buy it.

After all, high-performance computers aren't cheap.

"Once these two problems are solved, the subsequent training costs will definitely be covered. The laboratory has a heavy research and development workload, so it's necessary to add a batch of computers. After filming is finished, I'll find someone to take care of it for you."

Jackie Chan is in a very good mood and is very accommodating to Lung Siu-wan, the great contributor.

"Really? Thank you so much! On behalf of the engineers, programmers, and other technical staff in the lab, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our mentor for his strong support."

Long Xiaoyun smiled happily, Jackie Chan's support made him especially happy.

"You don't need to thank me. Your Information Brigade is the brain of the First Division. I am the division commander. Helping your Information Brigade is also helping myself," Jackie Chan said.

"You can't say that. You're the head of the family, with so many family members to take care of. I, as the captain, must thank you for prioritizing the Information Brigade," Long Xiaoyun said very seriously.

"Saying thank you isn't enough, how about you treat me to a big meal?" Jackie Chan joked.

"Commander, don't you still owe me a meal? Then let's settle it, haha." Long Xiaoyun replied with a joke.

"You really never give up," Jackie Chan said with a smile, pointing in the air.

"but……"

Long Xiaoyun changed the subject with a smile and said, "It may be expensive, but I, Long Xiaoyun, can afford to treat you, Master Cheng, to a meal in my personal capacity."

"Great, impressive."

Jackie Chan glanced at his watch and said, "It's about time now, so let's go together today. Is that alright?"

"Are you afraid I'll run away?"

Long Xiaoyun was both amused and exasperated, but she didn't hesitate and then named a shop.

The two continued chatting and laughing as they headed towards the feast.

……

Military Region Headquarters.

Deputy Commander's Office.

"Jackie Chan seems to have disappeared from the internet all of a sudden. It's really hard to get used to not having anyone to debate with online anymore."

Deputy Commander Zhong looked away from the computer screen, took off his glasses, and looked slightly disappointed.

"He's become the acting commander of the First Division. Before, he only commanded armored tanks, but now he has to manage thousands of troops. Especially since he has no experience as a commanding officer, this sudden appointment will be quite a challenge. He'll probably have a lot of work to do, and even if he wants to go online, he probably won't have time for it for a while," Minister Wang said with a smile.

"People always need to grow. Becoming a qualified teacher also takes time. Let's just wait and see the results."

Deputy Commander Zhong had great confidence in Jackie Chan, then changed the subject, asking, "Oh, by the way, how's the situation in Gao Cheng lately?"

"He had already submitted his application for demobilization, but it has not been approved yet. He also did not take over the work of the First Division. I heard that he went to the resettlement office many times to inquire about resettlement matters."

Minister Wang paused for a moment, then tentatively offered a suggestion: "This can't go on like this, and it's not really appropriate for higher-ups to get involved."

My personal advice is not to agree to the transfer so easily; I think we can intervene forcefully.

Or, how about we transfer him to the Linzhou Military Sub-district first? Let him serve as acting commander of the military sub-district for now, and then decide what to do next based on the situation?

"Acting commander of the military sub-district?"

When Deputy Commander Zhong heard the suggestion, his eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands and exclaimed, "That is indeed a good idea. Let's get him over there first and let him clear his head. If he still insists on transferring to civilian work then, it won't be too late to agree to it."

Go and prepare the materials for me now, and I'll try to get things settled within the next couple of days.

Jackie Chan served as acting division commander, and Gao Cheng served as acting commander-in-chief.

That was a brilliant move!

"Okay, I'll go right away."

Minister Wang was very pleased that his suggestion had been adopted and immediately went down to implement it.

Long Xiaoyun and Jackie Chan had a very enjoyable dinner, and the signing of the contract with Producer Qiao the next morning went smoothly, successfully completing the task of slaughtering the golden pig.

Producer Qiao needs to give Long Xiaoyun 60 yuan within three days to secure the dedicated line.

And it's an express line!

Long Xiaoyun, on the other hand, needs to communicate with the power bureau to set up a dedicated line within twenty days and prioritize the power supply for the film crew.

The boats that the film crew rented were to be provided to the First Division troops free of charge, without any filming assignments.

The rented boat was rented by the day, and you still have to pay even if it's just sitting there unused. It doesn't conflict with using it for military training.

Producer Joe readily agreed.

Secondly, when the production team needs to film scenes at sea, the production team is responsible for directing and coordinating how to film, while the specific filming time is determined by the military.

This request was not unreasonable at all, and Producer Joe readily agreed.

Finally, there is the issue of expenses for the participating officers and soldiers.

Because the soldiers in the army are all young men, they naturally have a large appetite, and filming battle scenes is physically demanding, so the allowance must be increased.

The amount has been increased from ten yuan per person per day to twenty yuan per person per day.

This is the most basic subsidy!

In addition to this basic subsidy, additional rental fees, venue fees, and performance fees must be paid, all of which are detailed in the contract.

Compared to hiring individual group members, which costs around a hundred yuan a day, professional actors or character actors can cost several hundred yuan a day.

Although Jackie Chan proposed various fees, the soldiers in the army were all special actors, so the overall cost was much cheaper than that of the film studio.

Because Jackie Chan never intended to make a big fuss or try to get something for nothing.

They just wanted to solve the difficulties faced by the troops.

Producer Joe could sense Jackie Chan's dedication to the military and the people from the fee he requested, and he signed his name with great satisfaction.

The film crew, which had stopped shooting for a day and a night, will finally be able to restart tomorrow.

With the film crew's affairs settled smoothly, Jackie Chan needed to consult with the training department to adjust the troops' training plan, while the task of setting up the dedicated power line was handed over to Long Xiaoyun.

After lunch, Long Xiaoyun set off and went to the power supply station to find Director Ma.

He facilitated the connection with the leaders of the power bureau and even specially invited the director of the municipal double support office to mediate between them.

Originally, 400,000 yuan would have been enough to set up a dedicated line, but Long Xiaoyun added 200,000 yuan for expedited service.

This 200,000 yuan was purely extra money. When the leaders of the power bureau heard that there was such a good thing, they couldn't stop smiling.

He patted his chest and immediately guaranteed that the dedicated line would be in place within twenty days.

Having completed this major task, Long Xiaoyun felt exceptionally happy thinking that the laboratory would no longer lack power and she would no longer have to worry about power outages.

On the way back, he reported the results to Jackie Chan, and then ran back to check the generator set.

Last night, I ran into Long Xiaoyun and Jackie Chan by chance. They were driving out to a restaurant together when Gao Da followed Long Xiaoyun to the laboratory.

A beautiful and graceful woman is the object of a gentleman's affections.

A woman as outstanding and beautiful as Long Xiaoyun will never lack suitors, no matter where she goes.

Gundam is one of them!

"Hey, Xiaoyun, did you receive the message I sent you?"

Gao Da had just arrived when he saw Long Xiaoyun, who was about to go to the grassy area behind the laboratory to check on the generator set's operation, so he took the initiative to greet her.

"Captain Gao, what brings you here?"

Long Xiaoyun stopped and said, "It seems that's true. There were three messages in total: one blessing, one invitation, and one compliment, right?"

"No, there's one more," Gao Da said, shaking his head.

"Then I didn't receive it," Long Xiaoyun said with a smile.

"And there's another one that comes from the bottom of my heart, a spiritual wave, haha." Gao Da, with his smooth tongue, used some cheesy pickup lines.

"You're here again."

Long Xiaoyun was speechless, but not angry.

Gao Da has a very cheerful personality and speaks in a way that is rare in the military. He often takes the opportunity to flirt with Long Xiaoyun, and Long Xiaoyun has gotten used to it.

"Hey, seriously, I'd like to ask you to give our missile squadron a lesson tomorrow," Gundam said, switching to a serious expression.

"What kind of classes? I don't understand anything about your missile stuff," Long Xiaoyun said.

"The information age and information warfare are your Information Brigade's strengths. If you could personally give a presentation, it would definitely benefit the Missile Brigade greatly. I also believe you wouldn't refuse an invitation to help the Missile Brigade improve."

Gao Da speaks very skillfully; he's clearly a person with high emotional intelligence.

"Your tongue is still as sharp as ever, another trick that's hard to resist," Long Xiaoyun teased.

"So it's settled then? See you tomorrow?" Gao Da pressed his advantage, not giving Long Xiaoyun a chance to refuse.

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

Long Xiaoyun is a very responsible person. She will not hesitate to help any unit in the First Division make progress, nor will she find it troublesome.

"Okay, goodbye then."

Gundam was very satisfied with his successful invitation and left with a big smile on his face.

Jackie Chan and Long Xiaoyun worked together to solve most of the problems the army was facing, and even managed to secure an extra sum of money.

It can be said that things are going very well, and if this continues, his position will definitely become more and more secure.

On the other side, Gui Pingyuan initially predicted that Jackie Chan definitely couldn't handle it and would eventually have to leave the mess behind.

Now that Jackie Chan's side is thriving, Gui Pingyuan and Wu Yiwen are both feeling uneasy.

In order to suppress Jackie Chan's surging momentum and demonstrate their role in the First Division, Gui Pingyuan and Wu Yiwen also began to rack their brains and exert their efforts.

Both of them knew what the First Division lacked most and what they could do to achieve greater results.

money.

That's right, it's money.

The battalions that formed the First Division were all outstanding elites, so there was no need to worry about personnel at all. All kinds of technology and equipment were also in place, and they were the most advanced in the entire army.

The acting division commander, Cheng Long, is also an expert in joint operations and has extensive theoretical knowledge of information-based and data-driven warfare.

The only problem was that the First Division had just been established, and a lot of funds were needed for the construction of the division headquarters and various regimental headquarters, training grounds, and so on.

Even with strong support from higher-ups, filling this huge hole is no easy task.

The problems that Jackie Chan and Long Xiaoyun solved all required money to resolve and had absolutely nothing to do with any other technology.

Therefore, Wu Yiwen and Gui Pingyuan's main focus was on finding ways to raise money for the First Division.

More money than Jackie Chan!

There's no more profit to be made on the film set, and as the deputy division commander, he can't compete with Jackie Chan for credit; any credit will ultimately belong to the division commander.

So Gui Pingyuan came up with an unconventional idea: to raise funds from the community.

For example, companies that support the military, and patriotic individuals.

Gui Pingyuan is a cunning fellow who likes to analyze and theorize about everything. He actually managed to swindle funding by using his smooth talk.

In just two days, he found a patriotic businessman and obtained a full 50 yuan in funding.
