Mr. Liang, you mustn't covet other people's fiancées!

Chapter 10 When did we stop being friends?

"Knock knock"

Liang Chaoxu had just come out of the bathroom when there was a knock on the door.

"Enter."

"Mr. Liang..." Wen Li pushed open the door and froze abruptly.

Liang Chaoxu faced her, his wet hair falling over his forehead, a bath towel loosely tied around his waist. His firm waistline was faintly visible, and his skin still had a faint flush from his bath.

"What's wrong?" Liang Chaoxu walked over to Wen Li.

Wen Li hurriedly turned her head, stood sideways, her ears growing hotter and hotter: "I...can I borrow your USB drive for a moment?"

"Okay, I'll go get it for you." Liang Chaoxu said, then walked right past Wen Li and headed straight for the study.

After walking a few steps, seeing that Wen Li hadn't followed, he turned around: "Are you planning to work in the bedroom?"

Wen Li turned to look at him: "An? Yes."

Liang Chaoxu lowered his eyes and looked at Wen Li's waist: "Come to the study and sit down to work properly."

"But I..."

"Your back isn't better yet."

"……OK."

Wen Li brought her computer to the study. As soon as she entered, she saw Liang Chaoxu leaning on the desk with one hand and holding the mouse in the other, staring intently at the computer.

He was already tall and slender, and he also paid attention to exercise. This posture allowed his shoulders and back to be fully extended, showing off his well-proportioned, smooth, and powerful muscle lines.

After staring for a few seconds, Wen Li suddenly snapped out of her daze, hurriedly looked away, walked to the desk, and put down the computer: "I'll just use my own computer, no need to bother."

Liang Chaoxu glanced at Wen Li, immediately noticing her flushed cheeks and earlobes. He subtly curved his lips into a smile: "No trouble at all."

Wen Li remained silent, pulling the hem of her bathrobe together as she sat down.

The next second, Liang Chaoxu's voice rang out above him again: "It's not for you to use, it's for my own use."

"Hmm?" Wen Li looked up at him and made a move to get up: "Then you can use the study. I'll go downstairs to the dining table to work."

Liang Chaoxu raised his hand and pressed down on her shoulder, looking down at her. When his gaze inadvertently swept over the collar of her nightgown, he caught a glimpse of a small, elegant, and subtly beautiful curve.

The scene from last night suddenly flashed into his mind, making him feel hot.

Liang Chaoxu looked away and straightened up: "No need, I'll just reply to a few emails, it'll be over in a bit."

"Okay." Wen Li lowered her head, and as she looked away, her gaze swept over his waist and abdomen, the clear and beautiful lines rushing into her mind.

Wen Li shook her head, trying to shake them all off.

Liang Chaoxu was momentarily unable to catch his breath and turned to leave the study. When he returned, he was dressed neatly in his pajamas.

Did I get caught while I was looking at it? Wen Li glanced at Liang Chaoxu standing next to her and wondered to herself.

Liang Chaoxu leaned on the edge of the table, half-bent over, less than an arm's length away from Wen Li. With a slight breath, his nose was filled with the sweet scent of her shower gel.

Liang Chaoxu flipped through the files on the computer screen again and again, but couldn't concentrate on reading a single word.

After calming down, Wen Li quietly organized the materials she might need when submitting other resumes.

The study was lit with a warm yellow light, and the only sound was the soft clicking of the mouse.

After tidying up, Wen Li stretched her neck and prepared to get up and leave.

"My friend said there's an airshow in Changchun during the National Day holiday." Liang Chaoxu straightened up and said to her, "I remember you were quite interested too, why don't we go together?"

Wen Li looked up at him, her fingers unconsciously tracing the computer screen. Everyone was on holiday for National Day, and she wouldn't be starting work immediately. After thinking it over, she nodded and replied, "Okay."

"Then I'll buy you a ticket," Liang Chaoxu said.

Wen Li immediately replied, "Then I'll transfer the money for the plane ticket to you in a bit."

Upon hearing this, Liang Chaoxu narrowed his eyes, slowly bent down and leaned on the edge of the table beside Wen Li, encircling her between himself and the desk, his voice low and hoarse.

"Wen Li, do you really need to be so calculating with me?"

Wen Li met his gaze and immediately noticed the sadness in his eyes.

She felt a sudden tightness in her chest, but after calming down, she moved her lips and said, "Mr. Liang, we are neither relatives nor friends, so it's better to be clear about things."

"Neither relatives nor friends?" Liang Chaoxu repeated these words, his emotions becoming more pronounced. "We're not relatives now, but when did we become not friends either? Hmm?"

As he spoke, Liang Chaoxu unconsciously leaned forward.

The two of them got even closer.

Wen Li could even feel his breath on her face, which felt both hot and itchy.

Unable to back down, Wen Li could only lean back slightly, trying to create some distance between them: "Mr. Liang..."

"Waist." Seeing Wen Li straining her waist, Liang Chaoxu quickly reached out and put his arm around her lower back, supporting her steadily. Looking into her eyes, he said, "Don't call me Mr. Liang anymore."

The heat from Liang Chaoxu's body continuously seeped through their clothes and reached Wen Li's waist and chest.

She raised her hand to press against his chest, creating physical distance between them: "It's not appropriate for me to call you by your first name, and I'm not really used to it either."

"What's wrong with it? What's there to be unaccustomed to?" Liang Chaoxu frowned. "From now on, you should call me by my name, preferably with both my first and last name."

Only when he used her full name did he feel like he was standing with her. Only when they were of the same generation could they act without restraint.

Wen Li shrank back, pushing Liang Chaoxu away forcefully: "But it's my..."

"That was before." Liang Chaoxu was afraid that Wen Li would hurt her back by leaning back so much, so he raised his other hand to support the back of her head and stop her from moving.

"Now you are just Wen Li, not anyone's fiancée, and you don't need to address me according to his family's seniority."

Wen Li was held in Liang Chaoxu's arms, his face, his breath, and the warmth in front of her were all his. Even if she shook her head ten times, she couldn't shake him off.

"Okay, can you let me go first?" Wen Li asked, blinking her eyes, her gaze clear and unambiguous.

Liang Chaoxu looked at her, took a deep breath, and as his chest rose and fell, he inadvertently touched the softness that belonged only to a young woman.

"You don't need to transfer the airfare, accommodation, or food." Liang Chaoxu helped Wen Li stand steadily before letting go of her and taking a step back. "I invited you, and I will reimburse all expenses."

"Then thank you, Liang...." Wen Li smiled slightly, picked up her laptop, and fled the study. Back in the master bedroom, she looked like a perfectly cooked lobster.

Liang Chaoxu let out a long sigh, leaned over the table, and tried to calm his feverish emotions.

He returned to the second bedroom more than ten minutes later. But he tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep.

Wen Li next door wasn't doing much better. She kept opening and closing her eyes, and couldn't fall asleep until 3 a.m.
