Chapter 344 Academician Status

Yin Qingleng knew very well that her suggestion would buy her a lot of time to do things that were in her best interest.

Although Lu Wang's aptitude is not bad, it will take him at least three to five years to advance from the current third rank to the fourth rank.

With so much time, Yin Qingleng could have made even more arrangements.

Yin Qingleng was very confident that by then, the Ice Feather Academy would be completely under his control.

"This has taken far too long."

Jiang Xu responded.

However, this time his opposition was not as strong.

Yin Qing's heart skipped a beat. He knew that Jiang Xu had already tacitly accepted his thoughts, but he would have to make some other compromises with Jiang Xu's side.

"Don't worry, this process won't take too long, and I will also provide assistance for Lu Wang's growth."

Yin Qing coldly uttered some meaningless platitudes.

Everyone knows that Yin Qingleng's words are not to be taken seriously.

"Um……"

Jiang Xu pondered for a moment before slowly saying, "Deputy Dean Yin, your suggestion isn't entirely unreasonable. However, since my young master, Lu Wang, is the successor to the position of Dean, shouldn't he still bear some responsibilities towards the Ice Feather Academy, even if he hasn't officially inherited the position yet?"

"Therefore, I hope that Lu Wang can obtain all the powers of an academician, and that his status will be above all other academicians. In addition, he may not follow your orders, but he can still issue commands to other academicians."

Jiang Xu's tone was very firm.

"Um?"

Gu Chixing and the other faculty members from Yin Qingleng's side frowned upon hearing this.

If Yin Qingleng agrees to this proposal, it means that they will be subordinate to Lu Wang, a third-level secret master.

At that time, even if we can outwardly defy him on important matters, we will have to bow down to Lu Wang in public.

"Can."

While Gu Chixing and the others were still wondering, Yin Qingleng readily gave them an answer.

"From now on, Lu Wang will be the young master of Bingyu Academy. He will have all the power of the academy's teachers, and all the teachers will obey his orders. In addition, he can also disobey my orders."

Yin Qing had thought it through clearly. Apart from Lu Wang's multiple academy teachers, the other conditions were nothing to him.

The so-called dispatching of all the academy teachers and the condition that they would not obey his orders were completely meaningless.

The two sides have been divided into camps. The teachers in one's own camp may outwardly flatter them, but when it comes to the crucial moment, they will still have to stand on one's side.

Moreover, with Jiang Xu, Xu Siqi, and others around, it was impossible for him to instruct Lu Wang.

"it is good."

Jiang Xu said, "Besides that, I have another request."

"besides?"

Yin Qing raised an eyebrow: "Go ahead and speak."

"I hope that Ice Feather Academy will add another instructor."

Jiang Xu said.

"Who?"

Yin Qing asked coldly.

"Xu Ning."

Jiang Xu turned his gaze to Xu Ning.

"Jiang Xu, aren't you pushing your luck a bit?"

This time it was Gu Chixing who spoke: "He's an outsider to begin with; joining the Ice Feather Academy is already an exception. And to make him an academy instructor—that's going too far!"

Jiang Xu remained unfazed: "I guarantee with my own reputation that Xu Ning will contribute to the Ice Feather Academy after joining. If he does anything detrimental to the Ice Feather Academy, I am willing to pay with my life!"

Jiang Xu's words were very harsh.

"you……"

Gu Chixing was speechless again, so he could only look at Yin Qingleng and wait for her reply.

Yin Qing's cold gaze fell on Xu Ning.

He knew that Xu Ning was an accomplice invited by Jiang Xu.

"Xu Ning..."

Yin Qingleng was actually somewhat wary of Xu Ning.

This Xu Ning, at such a young age, already possesses the cultivation level of a fourth-tier Mystic Master.

Although there was no direct evidence, he strongly suspected that the pursuers he had sent out earlier had not yet returned and were very likely to have perished at Xu Ning's hands.

"Okay, I agree."

After pondering for a long time, Yin Qing finally chose to compromise.

Although somewhat wary, Yin Qingleng knew that Jiang Xu would only truly give in if she agreed to his request.

Moreover, as long as Xu Ning is in the Ice Feather Academy, he will have plenty of opportunities to target him.

"In that case, Xu Ning will be the new headmaster of the Ice Feather Academy!"

Jiang Xu raised his voice by one notch.

The tug-of-war between the two sides reached a conclusion, and there was no point in continuing the meeting. So, they each left.

"Master, by giving Lu Wang's side two more instructors, their power has increased considerably..."

At this moment, Gu Chixing was alone with Yin Qingleng, and he expressed his concerns.

"The Ice Feather Academy still has twelve academy teachers. We only have five on our side, while they have a full seven..."

"It's alright..."

Yin Qing waved his hand coldly: "As long as I can occupy the position of Dean, then the advantage will be on our side. That brat Lu Wang will have no chance of advancing to the fourth rank within three years. In these three years, I have many ways to suppress him and then completely take control of the Ice Feather Academy."

Seeing Yin Qingleng's confidence, Gu Chixing felt more at ease.

"But that outsider, Xu Ning, doesn't seem like a simple character..."

Gu Chixing continued.

"She's definitely not a simple character..."

On this point, Yin Qingleng and Gu Chixing shared the same view: "Therefore, we need to find an opportunity to get rid of this person."

"Getting rid of him won't be easy."

Gu Chixing looked thoughtful.

Upon hearing this, Yin Qingleng gave a sinister smile.

"It's inconvenient for us to take action against him ourselves, but if we use someone else..."

Yin Qingleng seemed to have already made a plan.

"You mean you want to..."

Gu Chixing also realized something, and his expression became serious.

"good."

Yin Qing nodded coldly: "I will contact them later and have them eliminate Xu Ning."

"But if this gets exposed, we'll lose everyone's support, even the rest of our own side..."

Gu Chixing was very worried.

"What are you afraid of?"

Yin Qing gave a cold, contemptuous smile: "We can even outmaneuver the former headmaster, let alone someone like Xu Ning?"

"hiss……"

Upon hearing this, Gu Chixing showed a panicked expression.

He quickly looked around, his heart pounding.

If word gets out that they plotted against the old academy head, then we'll be in big trouble.

At that time, everyone in the Ice Feather Academy will regard them as thorns in their side, and there will be countless troubles to come.

"Stay calm."

Yin Qing patted Gu Chixing on the shoulder: "Arrange for some people to keep a close eye on Xu Ning's movements."

After saying that, Yin Qingleng left alone.

Gu Chixing's forehead was covered in sweat. Even now, when he thinks back on the incident of plotting against the old academy master, he still feels lingering fear and dread.

But now that he's already on the wrong path, there's no turning back.

After standing there for a long time, Gu Chixing finally calmed down and left the spot.
