It's hard to quit, but it's the perfect marriage!

Chapter 77 The strawberry cake is in the refrigerator

Zhu Xi didn't look outside, and picked up the white coat hanging on the coat rack by the door.

"Your Yu family shouldn't be blind to other people's wounds just because you're rich." She said expressionlessly, mentally calculating the distance to the strawberry cake, her tone neither loud nor soft, "Take the birthday present, I don't want it."

"The Zhou family is a good family, and Zhou Yinghuai is a good person too. But that doesn't mean the pain I felt from your elopement, Yu Qingge, has disappeared."

Unable to contain his youthful arrogance at her sudden change of expression, Yu Sui retorted, "Zhu Xi, that's not a very good thing to say."

Zhu Xi, buttoning up his white coat, didn't even look at the two of them. "Oh? Young Master Yu, what exciting stuff do you want to hear?"

Yu Sui: "Eldest sister ran away from her arranged marriage, but didn't you also agree to marry into the Zhou family yourself?"

Zhu Xi turned slightly to the side, glancing disdainfully at the siblings. "Dare I disagree? If I offended the Zhou family, how could I possibly survive in Libei?"

"Do you think the Yu family will let me off so easily? Those few meals I ate at the Yu family's house, wouldn't I be drowned in your spittle because you're taking advantage of my kindness?"

Yu Sui: "Why are you so petty?"

Zhu Xi looked up at him and smiled. "That's right. I come from a humble family. My father doesn't love me and my mother doesn't care for me. Unlike you, Young Master Yu, who was born with a silver spoon in your mouth and drives sports cars and motorcycles all the time. You have both parents and your sister is very kind."

"Sister," Yu Sui said, blushing and getting anxious. That was clearly not what he meant.

"No way," Zhu Xi raised her hand and looked at Yu Qingge again, "You, you all, half-siblings, are all related to me. I only have my brother, I don't have that many sisters, brothers, or sisters."

Yu Qingge stepped forward and shielded Yu Sui behind her. "Xi Xi, did Zhou Yinghuai make you suffer?"

Zhu Xi looked at Yu Qingge with an even less than pleasant expression.

"Xixi, if you have any grievances, tell me, and I'll help you get justice."

Zhu Xi sneered, "Wow, what a great eldest sister act! How about I divorce Zhou Yinghuai and you marry him?"

Yu Qingge: "I..."

"Can't do it? Then stop pretending! If you want to cry, go home and find your stepmother, cry in front of her, let her know how wronged you are."

Yu Qingge: "Xixi, so you've been blaming me all along. I really didn't want to marry Zhou Yinghuai; I don't like him."

"What a coincidence, I didn't like him either, but I married him. You still have the freedom to choose your own marriage." She straightened the sleeves of her white coat, calm and composed. "Yu Qingge, go start your own tea plantation and sell green tea."

After saying that, she left.

From another direction, they turned the corner without looking back.

He glanced at the cuffs of the white shirt out of the corner of his eye, but didn't linger.

Zhu Xi returned to her office in a daze, finally covering her face to relax her tense nerves.

She covered her face, the lingering fear in her heart growing stronger.

Zhou Yinghuai's timely appearance last night can only mean that he was in the basement and had no intention of leaving.

He did not go upstairs, even though the bridal chamber was upstairs.

Because she didn't ask him to stay, he pretended to leave, but actually waited for her.

She had a fever, and he stayed up with her until midnight.

Zhu Xi could see the bluish stubble and the bloodshot eyes.

Zhou Yinghuai, such a busy person, has been constantly focused on her lately.

Furthermore, there was the family banquet personally cooked by Lou Yanhui.

Also, there's the magnificent fireworks display at the Imperial View Palace that Yu Sui mentioned.

Zhu Xi was plunged into a state of complete bewilderment and uncertainty.

This was an experience she had never had before.

She couldn't describe the feeling; it was like standing on the edge of the rooftop celebrating her successful appointment as dean.

Just as he raised his glass, his body swayed, and Zhu Xi fell to the ground.

The winds of hatred howled in her ears, causing her pain to take root and sprout in her bones.

She fell to the bottom, and the pain in her bones was swallowed up by an even more intense agony.

Zhu Xi's bones were shattered, and his blood flowed like a river.

In the unwillingly closed eyes, there was Zhou Yinghuai, whose face was also blurred with blood.

He cushioned her fall, the gushing blood staining his white shirt and turning his handsome features a glaring red.

Zhu Xi died, and Zhou Yinghuai was implicated and died along with her.

Zhu Xi stared at her pale face on the computer screen, her mind blank.

As the days drifted by, she finally realized that she had completely forgotten the words she had spoken when she first got her marriage certificate.

Shortly after, the office door was pushed open.

Xiaoyue appeared carrying a tray, not wearing a mask. "What are you daydreaming about?"

Zhu Xi snapped out of her reverie and swiped the mouse with her right hand. "Thinking about surgical options."

Xiaoyue sat down next to her and took her bruised hand and the clear needle marks.

He clicked his tongue in disbelief, "The nurses in the VIP wards are really bad!"

Zhu Xi's hand was held by her as she watched Xiao Yue apply medicine to her. "She's pretty."

"Can good looks put food on the table?"

Zhu Xi nodded, then winced in pain, gasping for breath. "Can you eat that? Your special needs salary is higher than yours, right?"

Xiaoyue glared at her. "You went to make poison yesterday?"

"More or less." Zhu Xi's voice was muffled in her palm as she rested her chin on her hand and turned her head to look out the window.

Xiaoyue applied a band-aid to her. "Dean Zhu, your hands are so precious. When I'm old and have a tumor in my head, I'll be counting on you to operate on me and save me for a long life."

Zhu Xi chuckled, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "If I can't cure it, I can at least make it worse."

Xiaoyue got up, picked up the tray, and was about to leave when she said, "Oh, by the way, your husband said he couldn't find you and asked me to pass on his message."

Zhu Xi: "What?"

"He said those exact words."

Xiaoyue cleared her throat. "Could you please tell Zhuxi that the strawberry cake is in the refrigerator?"
