Isolated town in northern border region

"Trapped Camp! Follow me to meet General Xiao!"

As Xiao Xiong slaughtered his way through the Northern Barbarian army and drew ever closer to the Northern Barbarian King's banner, Xiao Lie knew that Tuge would not stand idly by at this moment.

Soon, Xiao Lie donned his armor, grabbed his spear and sword, and rode out of the city, followed by the menacing Trapped Camp.

When Xiao Lie advanced to within two hundred paces of the Northern Barbarian army formation, a sharp, metallic clang rang out from within the Northern Barbarian army!

Then, the Northern Barbarian King's banner shook and retreated rapidly.

"As expected of the Wolf Riders!"

"They really did crush ten thousand troops, slaying generals and capturing flags!"

Xiao Lie sighed, then raised his spear high.

"The Trapped Camp!"

"Wheel formation! Push forward!"

At a command, the Trapped Camp quickly split into three cone-shaped formations, one in front and two behind, forming a complete cone.

With shield bearers in front and spearmen behind, the archers in the middle continuously hurled arrows at the Northern Barbarian army formation, and the three square formations pressed forward like a city wall.

Although the Trapped Camp was composed of infantry and did not advance quickly, the Northern Barbarian cavalry formation had been completely disrupted and was unable to organize an effective charge. They could only watch helplessly as the Trapped Camp advanced step by step and was then mercilessly crushed!

Occasionally, they would encounter one or two fierce warriors who recklessly tried to break through the formation of the Trapped Camp, but the entire Trapped Camp was clad in heavy armor, and the Northern Barbarians' scimitars could barely penetrate their defenses.

As for the armor-piercing spears, they were even worse. With the Trapped Camp pressing in, their warhorses had no distance to charge and could not pick up any speed at all.

Those spears that once claimed lives on the battlefield have now become the biggest weakness.

Not only is the length of the spear ineffective in the chaotic battle formation, but once the soldiers of the Trapped Camp grab the spear shaft, the Northern Barbarian cavalry will be instantly dragged off their horses and hacked to death!

Seeing that the Northern Barbarian Tartars posed no threat to the Trapped Camp, Xiao Lie simply let them go completely.

With a thrust of his spear, Xiao Lie spurred his horse forward, shooting like a meteor into the depths of the Northern Barbarian army's formation, and charged directly to Xiao Xiong's side.

"Xiao Xiong, what about One-Ear?"

Xiao Xiong was engrossed in the killing when he heard Xiao Lie's voice and his whole body trembled.

"Your Highness! What brings you here?"

"Azure Wolf Riders, charge!"

Xiao Xiong gave a loud order, and the Wolf Riders, who had just been indiscriminately slaughtering people, immediately regrouped and surrounded Xiao Lie.

"Your Highness! The Northern Barbarian army's formation is already in disarray; there's no need for you to personally charge into battle."

Xiao Lie did not answer, but instead looked at the Northern Barbarian King's banner not far away.

"Even the Northern Barbarian King's banner has retreated, why isn't this one-eared one showing itself?"

"I thought he had already led men to rescue me!"

Xiao Xiong stood up from his horse to look around, and his breath hitched.

"Your Highness, that brat Tuge is right behind the royal banner!"

"They're marching in formation towards us!"

Xiao Lie also stood on the saddle, looked up and immediately beamed with joy.

"That kid's cunning!"

"How could they come up with such an idea!"

It turned out that behind the flamboyant Northern Barbarian King's banner, Tug had already rallied the chaotic cavalry and arranged them into a charging formation.

At this moment, the Wolf Riders had already charged into the enemy ranks. Although their offensive was still fierce, they had long lost the speed of their previous charge.

This Tug actually used his own father as bait, trying to devour the Wolf Riders in one fell swoop with a counter-charge!

"Damn! This kid's ruthless!"

"Your Highness, why don't we have this humble general confront him directly and seize the opportunity to kill him?"

"If this child isn't eliminated, he will surely become a major threat!"

Xiao Xiong cursed as he wiped the blood and flesh off his scimitar, his eyes fixed fiercely on the direction of the Northern Barbarian King's banner.

Xiao Lie shook his head.

He had genuinely wanted to kill Tug before, but after Zhou Xun's reminder, he tightened his grip and made the best plan.

Unless absolutely necessary, Xiao Lie still wanted to spare Tug's life.

"Azure Wolf Cavalry, disperse and annihilate them, preventing the other Tartars from regrouping!"

"The Vanguard Camp is right behind us! I'll make them crash into me and bleed!"

Xiao Lie pulled on the reins and immediately turned the horse around to rejoin the Trapped Camp.

"Join the battle! Set up barricades!"

Without the slightest hesitation, the Trapped Camp instinctively re-established the barricades that had been laid out on the grassland.

Just then!

The Northern Barbarian King's banner suddenly veered to the side, creating a path wide enough for cavalry to charge.

"Slay the traitor of the grasslands!"

"Today we vow to annihilate the Gray Wolf Tribe!"

Tug led the charge, leading his cavalry in a fierce attack!

But the next second, Tug was dumbfounded!

What lay before them was not Xiao Xiong's Canglang Cavalry, but the Trapped Camp, which was as solid as a city wall!

Turning his head, he saw that the Canglang cavalry had already split up and attacked his flanks, making it impossible for the Northern Barbarian cavalry to charge!

"Xiao Lie!"

"It's you again!"

Looking again at Xiao Lie and the Trapped Camp, Tuge instantly locked onto the culprit!

Tuge knew how formidable the Trapped Camp was. Back then, even 40,000 cavalrymen couldn't break through their defenses on the plains. Now, with only a thousand-strong personal guard, how dare he charge head-on?

Once the Trapped Camp holds him off head-on, the Azure Wolf Cavalry will then attack from both flanks, and the city of Youzhou will become his burial ground!

After a moment's thought, Tug immediately raised his scimitar and halted the charging cavalry.

"Xiao Lie! Have the guts to step into battle and fight!"

"I, Ye Hu, will surely cut you down!"

Seeing Tug's impotent rage, Xiao Lie laughed heartily and took the bow and arrows directly from the saddle.

"Tuge, you are a noble Yehu of the Northern Barbarians, yet you have lost an ear. I fear you are no longer destined for the position of Khan!"

"I am a kind-hearted king. Since I have cut off your ear, I will return to you the title of Khan. How about it?"

After saying that, Xiao Xiong drew his bow and shot an arrow towards the direction of the Northern Barbarian King's banner!

Xiao Lie didn't aim at all with that arrow; it was just for show.

But Tug's face immediately darkened.

"Now that Xiao Lie has the upper hand, instead of eliminating them completely, he's talking about the Khan's position?"

"After the defeat at Cangzhou, Father's prestige was no longer sufficient to govern the various tribes of the grasslands. Now, with another defeat, he has no more authority as Khan whatsoever!"

"Is Xiao Lie trying to get me to come to his rescue in order to seize the Khan's throne?"

Thinking of this, Tug reached out to stop the riders behind him and rode forward alone.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Lie's lips curled into a smile, and he then waved his hand.

"Don't move!"

Although the soldiers of the Trapped Camp were puzzled, they immediately put down their bows and crossbows.

Tuge stood there brazenly, staring silently at Xiao Lie in front of the Trapped Camp. The distance was so close that Luo Daniu could smell the stench of sweat on Tuge's body!

One breath...

Two breaths...

Three breaths...

Xiao Lie and Tu Ge remained silent, leaving both sides' soldiers somewhat bewildered.

suddenly!

Tuge pointed his knife at Xiao Lie and began to curse him!

"Xiao Lie! I, Tuge, am an upright and honorable man, how dare you insult me like this!"

Now, Xiao Lie smiled even more happily.

He understood exactly what Tug meant.

They simply felt that he considered him a useless person, yet they were willing to help him ascend to the throne of Khan and unify the grasslands.

Tug was not only of noble birth, but also a brave warrior and a wise commander!

His right ear was cut off by the enemy before, and now this same enemy is going to personally put him on the throne of Khan!

This was an absolute disgrace to Tug!

It was precisely because he understood that Xiao Lie smiled so happily.

Because dogs that bite usually don't bark!

If Tuge were truly that resolute, he should have committed suicide on the battlefield at this moment, or led his troops into battle to prove his loyalty with his death!

But the fact that he only cursed shows that he only felt ashamed, not that he didn't want to sit on the Khan's throne.

Seeing that the time was almost right, Xiao Lie immediately raised his arms and shouted.

"Capture and kill Timur! Avenge the blood feud in our northern frontier!"

The next moment, the three thousand soldiers who had charged into battle also shouted!

"Capture and kill Timur! Avenge the blood feud in our northern frontier!"

"Capture and kill Timur! Avenge the blood feud in our northern frontier!"

"Capture and kill Timur! Avenge the blood feud in our northern frontier!"

The roar was deafening, and the ferocity was terrifying!

Without saying a word, Tuge turned his horse around and headed straight for the Northern Barbarian King's banner.

This is the time for him to be a loyal minister and a filial son!

To make the performance more realistic, Xiao Lie directly ordered the Trapped Camp to change formation and charge forward recklessly, firing arrows at the direction of the Northern Barbarian King's banner without restraint.

Xiao Lie stared in the direction Tu Ge had gone and pursed his lips.

"Don't get shot!"

"Otherwise, I'll have to train another dog!"
