Post-match kiss

Chapter 28 Ex-boyfriend Calls

"More extra training? Su Jin, Sister Su, who's treating a race car driver like a donkey?" Zhou Zheng finished a round steadily without even breaking a sweat.

Su Jin shook her finger. "It's far from being used like a donkey. If you're willing, I can show you what it's really like to be used like a donkey."

"No need, I've already learned my lesson." Zhou Zheng sighed.

Su Jin counted the number of planks for him, and after he did thirty, she finally got off Zhou Zheng's back.

"I'm in pretty good shape, and I lasted longer than before. I still need to keep working hard."

"Brother Zhou, Sister Su, have you had breakfast yet?" Wang Tianle came in from outside, a steamed bun in his mouth and a bag of meat buns in his hand, their soft skins soaked in oil.

Su Jin stared at the steamed bun in his hand as if facing a formidable enemy, her brows furrowed tightly. "Little Fatty! Throw away that 10,000-calorie steamed bun! I told you I was going to lose weight, why are you still eating such oily meat buns?"

"Throw it away? What a waste!" Wang Tianle's eyes widened, he couldn't bear to part with the steamed bun in his hand.

"Your breakfast should be a boiled egg, a cucumber, and maybe a tomato at most," Su Jin said disdainfully, snatching the meat bun away.

Wang Tianle looked at her with teary eyes, "Why don't we give it to Brother Zhou? It's such a waste to throw it away."

"Your brother Zhou has already eaten. Listen to Sister Su, you need to lose weight. Look at her, Sister Su has done an excellent job of lightweighting the race car. How can you do this to her if you don't lose weight?" Zhou Zheng leaned against the wall with a smile.

Wang Tianle sighed and sat down next to Zhou Zheng with a look of utter despair. "I've already lost four pounds, but I just couldn't resist today. Uncle's meat buns are so delicious; he saves four for us every morning."

"Next time, eat a little bit secretly, so your Sister Su doesn't see you." Zhou Zheng winked at him.

Wang Tianle could only nod longingly, "Sister Su, why don't we leave it for Boss Tu? He definitely hasn't eaten it yet."

"Okay, but you're not allowed to sneak any food. If you do," Su Jin's gaze shifted to Zhou Zheng, "we'll just pick another skinny navigator for him!"

Wang Tianle couldn't stand this. He was the first to disagree with changing the navigator! Only he could protect Brother Zhou's safety. It would be too unsafe to replace him with someone else.

"I will definitely lose weight! I'll do whatever you say, Sister Su."

"That's a good boy." Su Jin patted his head happily. It was rare to find one of the three who was obedient and easy to take care of. It was truly gratifying.

"Then today we'll do some spinning exercises to combat dizziness!"

Upon hearing Su Jin's words, Wang Tianle and Zhou Zheng fell silent for a moment. They could endure the hardships and exhaustion of these training exercises, but this spinning around... wasn't that a training exercise only for pilots?

"Spending money to put yourself in the washing machine and spin it around." Zhou Zheng suppressed the corner of his mouth, as if the dizziness was still lingering in his mind.

"It feels like bile is rushing into my brain," Wang Tianle said, sounding somewhat desperate.

"It's not that exaggerated. The captain flies around there every day. You guys just have to put up with it!" Su Jin said, hands on her hips.

"..."

"Brother Zhou, we were just tricked into coming here by Sister Su, is it really okay?" Wang Tianle gripped the 360-degree rotating simulator handles with both hands, his face full of helplessness.

Just as Zhou Zheng was about to say something, he heard a whistle.

As race car drivers, they are generally wary of the whistle. For Su Jin to use the whistle as the starting signal for their training is simply devilish.

The world spun before their eyes, and in the midst of their dizzying disorientation, Su Jin held up a sign in front of them and waved, "Read the route book!"

Wang Tianle gritted his teeth and endured the intense dizziness. The words and numbers flashed before his eyes, and he barely managed to make out a single glance before shouting out.

"Third from the left in the 80s!"

"Nice! Zhou Zheng, next!" Su Jin quickly exchanged the blank sheets of paper in her hand and moved on to the next one.

Zhou Zheng squinted as he watched the numbers and words flash by. A long string of words made his vision go black, and he had to spin around a few times before he managed to piece together the words.

"50 full tank, left 2, water accumulation! Damn, why are there so many words when it comes to my turn!"

"Stop talking nonsense. This is a real competition. Who cares how many words you write?" Su Jin smiled and continued changing the blank paper.

After Wang Tianle and Zhou Zheng finished reading a complete set of route books amidst the dizzying sensation of the world turning upside down, Su Jin finally took pity on them and put them down.

The two sat down on the ground to rest. Su Jin picked up two bottles of water and threw them over. Zhou Zheng reached out and caught one bottle, while the other rolled to Wang Tianle's feet.

"If you can still read the route book even when you're dizzy, then the bumps during the race will be nothing to you." Su Jin also took a sip of water; she was a little tired from shouting with all her might.

Wang Tianle drooped his head like a wilted eggplant, sipping water in small sips. "It's too hard, Sister Su."

"A prize of 100,000 yuan isn't something you can just get easily," Su Jin comforted her.

Wang Tianle joined the team for Zhou Zheng's sake, so whether or not he accepted the 10,000 yuan that Tu Ying promised him was not a big deal.

"If you really can't stand it, then..."

Before Zhou Zheng could finish speaking, Su Jin interrupted him, "Hey! Be careful, Boss Tu paid for the navigator's training. If he wants to quit, Boss Tu might kill him."

Wang Tianle shook his head. He knew how hard Brother Zhou had worked. The 10,000 yuan fee was something he could take or leave, but for Brother Zhou, it was a lifesaver.

"I'm not quitting! I've already invested time and money; I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't win an award!"

"That's right! A thrilling competition is all about winning!" Su Jin said happily.

Once Wang Tianle had set his goal, he stopped complaining of being tired. Except when Su Jin asked them to go up again, he almost cried while hugging Zhou Zheng's leg.

Fortunately, Zhou Zheng was the center of the team. He had a very stable mindset. He complained about Su Jin's training, but he always exceeded the requirements.

Su Jin checked off their schedule with satisfaction. When her pen landed on Wang Tianle's project, she thought it over and decided not to cover it up. She gave him a half-check mark and solemnly informed him.

"Extra training tomorrow!"

Wang Tianle was too tired to move, and Zhou Zheng's legs were sore and weak. He was afraid of causing a problem if he stepped on the brake, so Su Jin took the initiative to drive.

After dropping Wang Tianle off at home, Su Jin asked the person who hadn't gotten out of the car, "Where to? Back to the bar or your place?"

"Want to come to my house?" Zhou Zheng still wouldn't let up.

"I'm thinking of throwing you up on a mountain and burying you. Can you point me in the right direction?" Su Jin said.

"You don't need to do it yourself," Zhou Zheng said lazily, manually adjusting the navigation and setting a location.

Su Jin glanced at the location and found it to be Lanting Community, five kilometers away. The name sounded quite elegant, but when she arrived at the community, she found it to be an old one.

The low-rise buildings with staircases are neatly arranged in rows, surrounded by lush greenery, providing ample shade in the summer.

As Su Jin drove past, she glanced at the car curiously. Zhou Zheng, resting his elbow on the window, asked her, "Are you quite disappointed?"

"What am I disappointed about? You're so strange," Su Jin scoffed.

A subtle silence filled the carriage, but Su Jin's ringing cell phone broke the surface tranquility.

Su Jin was looking for a building, her phone on the control panel.

"Please answer this for me."

Zhou Zheng lowered his eyes and saw a string of unfamiliar overseas numbers displayed on the screen.
