Night Rose

Chapter 127 Impacting the Schwarzland Rally

Zhou Zheng's words sparked a considerable online buzz; his handsome face and dazzling red race car became the focus of discussion.

The championship became something he considered insignificant.

Zhou Zheng lay in Su Jin's arms, speechlessly flipping through the reports. "Do they even know how to write a report? Can't they pick what's important and what's not? When I said I wanted to participate in the Schalke Rally, all they speculated about was whether I had a girlfriend, and whether I'd crash and burn again next time. Can't they hope for something positive?"

Su Jin stroked his short stubble, finding it both scratchy and addictive. "Who cares what they write? Just drive your car."

"Can't I reveal my girlfriend?" Zhou Zheng looked up at her. Even from the angle from which he was lying on his lap, Su Jin was still beautiful.

She gently lifted Zhou Zheng's chin, as if finding it amusing, "You want to go public?"

"Yes!" Zhou Zheng immediately replied, tilting his head up to kiss her lips. "With such a wonderful girlfriend, why wouldn't I want her?"

Su Jin suddenly found it amusing that Lu Mingzhou insisted she keep their relationship a secret and not reveal it to outsiders.

Some people would love for the whole world to know about your relationship with them, while others are afraid that someone will find out.

"Let's talk about it after you win the Schwarzkopf championship," Su Jin said softly.

Zhou Zheng sat up, pounced on her, pinned her down, looked straight into her eyes, and said in a deep, sexy voice, "You said it, you can't go back on your word."

Su Jin wrapped her arms around his neck, laughing freely, "No regrets!"

With such a great boyfriend, why would she back out? She also wanted those who wrote random things to know that Zhou Zheng was taken, and that both he and his race car were taken!

After winning the championship, Tu Ying naturally took them out to celebrate and discuss preparations for the upcoming Shihar Rally.

This is their last stop this year, and also their final battle.

All previous races were preparations for winning the championship in Schalke. They worked hard to accumulate experience and strengthen the hearts of the drivers and navigators under pressure so as not to lose their balance in the big race.

The Schalke Rally was the only real professional race they encountered.

The list of registered teams consists of "familiar faces." They have been analyzed to some extent every time the competition is analyzed. To win the championship against them, the right timing, location, and people are all indispensable.

However, the timing and location did not seem to be on their side. Zhou Zheng and Wang Tianle lacked experience in snow combat, and snow had already fallen in Shiha in December, making the road conditions complicated.

With only half a month until the start of the competition, they rested for only one day before heading to Shiha. The Shiha region is mostly mountainous, and they had to get used to the local climate and air pressure.

On the day they arrived in Shiha, it was snowing lightly. The locals said that it had been snowing in Shiha for a week and the weather was not very clear recently, and the sun might come out at any time.

Su Jin, wearing a warm down jacket, stood in the snow building a snowman.

It was colder here than anywhere else she had ever been. Even with all her gear on, her hands were so cold that her fingers couldn't curl up. She could only push the snowball with her red palms, making it roll into an irregular sphere on the ground.

Zhou Zheng was more resistant to the cold than her; even with a layer of ice crystals on his eyelashes, he was still shoveling snow for her.

Su Jin stole the carrots from lunch and stuck them on the snowman's nose, making it look both funny and cute.

"Zhou Zheng, take a picture of me with the snowman." Su Jin happily handed her phone to Zhou Zheng.

Zhou Zheng opened the video recording and started filming her. Unaware of what was happening, Su Jin struck various poses, making Zhou Zheng laugh even from behind the camera.

"Did you take the picture or not?" Su Jin asked him with a smile, covering her frostbitten cheeks.

"I took some photos, and they turned out great," Zhou Zheng replied loudly.

Su Jin waved her hand, blinking her long eyelashes, looking playful yet gentle, "Come here, let's take a picture together."

Zhou Zheng obediently walked over, pressed his face against hers, and took a photo together.

"Let's go inside. Your eyelashes are covered in ice." Zhou Zheng reached out and pinched her long eyelashes. The ice melted between his fingers, but it still made Su Jin jump.

Su Jin stood in front of Zhou Zheng like a wall, pushing him forward and blocking out the excess wind.

Zhou Zheng, wearing a black and white fitted down jacket, shielded the person behind him and braved the wind and snow to enter the house.

The heating was on inside. The two of them stayed in the entryway for a while until their body temperature was close to that of the indoors. Then they changed into clean shoes and took off their down jackets before going inside.

Tu Ying sat at the table scrolling through her phone, resting her head on her hand. Hearing the noise outside, she glanced at the two people who looked like polar bears.

"Don't catch a cold. You need to be in top condition before the competition."

Wang Tianle was sleeping in his room. The heating was so comfortable, and it was snowing heavily outside. Instead of building a snowman, he decided to take a nap and was completely undisturbed by the noise from the others.

"I'm in good physical condition." Zhou Zheng patted his muscles, showing off his biceps.

Su Jin pinched his muscles and made a face. "I have a good constitution, so I won't catch a cold."

"You two are so funny, like kids." Tu Ying yawned, gazing thoughtfully at the heavy snow outside. "Will it be easy to drive in this snow? I wonder if the sun will come out in a few days."

"The weather in Schalke is a harsh natural condition, which is extremely challenging for drivers' skills and car setup. It can almost be considered the ultimate test in China. The next one is probably the Swedish Rally, with its snow-covered tracks and some stages even on frozen lakes, which places high demands on the drivers' mental fortitude and technical control." Su Jin leaned over the table and poured herself a cup of tea.

"So how's our race car preparation going? Where's the driver?" Tu Ying's eyes darted back and forth between the two of them.

Su Jin raised her teacup and drank it all in one gulp. "The race car is fine. It's been fitted with studded snow tires to grip the ice. There's also antifreeze oil, coolant, and antifreeze components... At least in this kind of weather, it won't fail to start or blow up."

"The race car driver is fine too. I specifically practiced on this kind of track during training." Zhou Zheng shrugged and took Su Jin's teacup to pour tea.

Tu Ying pretended not to see their little interaction, "Wouldn't it be better if the snow melted? After all, Zhou Zheng has little experience on ice."

"Yes, if the track is icy, the coefficient of friction on the snow will be very low, so you have to be more careful when driving. You have to think twice about the throttle and steering. If you drift too much, you can easily crash into the mountainside," Su Jin analyzed.

Tu Ying listened with a mixture of understanding and confusion. They had now reached the final stop, and no matter how many difficulties they faced, they could only confront them head-on.

"Please be careful. I'll go pray and offer incense for you. Please, please don't let it snow!"
