Zhou Ruian's heart rate and blood pressure soared, and the machine displayed his emotional fluctuations, like riding a roller coaster.

Zhou Zheng looked at the display on the screen with interest, chuckled, and murmured, "You're this agitated over just this one sentence? How indifferent you were when my mother died."

The weak patient lying on the hospital bed couldn't hear what he was saying, and desperately raised his hand, trying to grab the young man full of life in front of him.

Suppressing his disgust, Zhou Zheng grasped Zhou Ruian's hand, lowered his head so Zhou could see more clearly his face, which bore a slight resemblance to Zhou's. "Ten years have passed. Your son has grown up. Do you regret it? Do you still remember my mother?"

Zhou Ruian couldn't speak, only able to make ambiguous "ah ah ah" sounds.

"Don't get agitated, just take good care of yourself. There are plenty of people who would love for you to die sooner." Zhou Zheng turned his gaze to the window and met Liao Yun's eyes, who was staring into the room.

Liao Yun no longer concealed her emotions, turning her head away with a look of disgust and accusing the guards, "Are you all useless?! How could you let him get there first?"

"I don't need your apologies, get out of here!" Liao Yun completely tore off her mask, revealing her vicious true nature.

She understood people's hearts and calculations too well. Whoever went to see Zhou Ruian first after he woke up would have the upper hand, and at least in Zhou Ruian's heart, would be a qualified son.

Liao Yun trembled with anger, reaching out to wipe the lipstick mark from his face. "You walked all this way with this lipstick mark on your face and no one told you?!"

Zhou Chengzhuo saw the lipstick stain on his mother's finger and didn't dare to say anything. "I left in a hurry and didn't notice."

Liao Yun was at her wits' end with her son. Standing in her high heels by the glass of the ICU, she stared at Zhou Zheng's back, wondering what he was saying to Zhou Ruian.

Zhou Zheng probably doesn't know what she and her son did.

He turned and left the ward. The nurse was waiting at the door. When she saw him come out, she helped him remove the sterile equipment from his body.

"Nurse! I want to go in and see my dad too. He can't have all the glory!" Zhou Chengzhuo chimed in.

The nurse already disliked him; he had almost touched her butt last time. This time, she directly brought up the hospital's rules: "No! Hospital rules state that only one person can visit a day, and each visit can last fifteen minutes."

"Why can he go in? That's my dad inside. I'll complain about you if you don't!" Zhou Chengzhuo said, resorting to bullying when he couldn't get in.

"You!" Zhou Chengzhuo pointed at him, but was glared at and then sheepishly withdrew his hand, afraid that the man would break it.

"Then I'll go in tomorrow, okay? One time per person!" Zhou Chengzhu shouted.

"Yes, they are all my husband's sons. Today it's his turn, and tomorrow it will be Zhuo'er's turn. As his wife, I should have my turn too." Liao Yun stepped forward and took Zhou Chengzhuo's arm.

The nurse had seen through this family's true colors over the past few days. Liao Yun seemed easy to talk to, but she was actually a two-faced tiger who probably looked down on her behind her back. She was just pretending to be considerate to gain their favor.

"Okay, you can take turns, okay? It's your decision, but only one person can go in each day. There are surveillance cameras in the ICU, so don't start arguing." The nurse gave a standard fake smile.

Zhou Chengzhuo and Liao Yun failed to achieve their goal. When they looked at him, their eyes were filled with malice, but because of the surveillance cameras above them, they didn't waste any more words with him.

The two got into the Bentley, and as soon as the partition between the front and back seats was lowered, Zhou Chengzhuo, who couldn't keep a secret, blurted out, "Mom! You said Dad woke up, but he didn't find out we switched his medicine, did he?"

"Why are you shouting so loudly?! Are you afraid others won't know what we've done?" Liao Yun said angrily. Old Song was still driving, and even though she knew the partition could block sound, she still felt guilty.

"I was worried about you too." Zhou Chengzhuo lowered his head, looking somewhat pitiful.

If it weren't for the signs of a hangover he was carrying, Liao Yun would have actually believed him.

My stupid son is ultimately useless.

"You haven't told anyone else about this, have you?" Liao Yun asked in a low voice.

Zhou Chengzhu waved his hand dismissively, "How could I possibly tell anyone? What would I say? That I killed my own father? That's impossible, I still have to inherit the family fortune."

Liao Yun thought it over and over, and realized that this matter could not be delayed any longer. If the shares were arranged after Zhou Ruian woke up, they would probably only be given to Zhou Zheng, who was the one who could carry on the Zhou family line.

"Son, we can't wait any longer. We must strike first and hold a shareholders' meeting. Using your father's serious illness as an excuse, you can get the position of acting president of the group first."

Zhou Chengzhuo's eyes lit up. He had longed for Zhou Ruian's president position for too long. Ever since the car accident, he felt that position was getting further and further away from him, flying towards Zhou Zheng.
