Night Rose

Chapter 81 Giving You a Title

If he didn't feel insecure, why would he come all the way to New York to find her?

Knowing she has no official status or recognition, she still gets this jealous over a man's voice.

"I shouldn't have left you behind that morning. I should have taken you with me. But what about Grandpa? I can't bear to leave him alone." Su Jin pressed her forehead against his, exchanging body heat.

All the awkwardness of that period evaporated into thin air in these tender gestures, disappearing without a trace.

Her words slowly soothed Zhou Zheng's turbulent heart, and his turbulent emotions found an outlet in her comforting words. He seemed to realize where his problem lay.

Su Jin is right, he does feel quite insecure.

When his mother decided to leave him, she didn't say anything. She picked him up from the go-kart track as usual, dried his hair, kissed his forehead, and talked to him.

"Good night."

After saying goodnight, he no longer had a mother.

"What is a sense of security? I..." Zhou Zheng didn't finish his sentence because he saw heartache in Su Jin's eyes.

Su Jin leaned over and kissed the corner of his lips, a warm fire igniting in her heart.

"Okay, okay, stop fooling around. I'll give you a proper title, do you want it?"

Su Jin's restless hand slipped into his waist and was about to reach upwards when he grabbed it.

"Su Jin, are you serious?" Zhou Zheng's hands were very warm. He grabbed her fidgeting hands through the fabric, and his heart was pounding wildly.

"Really," Su Jin said softly.

"What title?" Zhou Zheng was extremely cautious at this moment. If Su Jin said something that displeased him again, he would have to bring up Sherry's past with her.

"Boyfriend." Su Jin smiled slightly.

She never imagined she would be dating someone so much younger than herself. In her view, career and marriage were the next milestones in her life, and only someone like Lu Mingzhou, who was her equal, was suitable to be her marriage partner and enter the next stage of life together.

Zhou Zheng is only nineteen years old. He is still too young, and his life has countless possibilities.

With his potential and achievements in racing, and with his superior appearance, it will be easy for him to have any kind of girlfriend or live any kind of life he wants in the future.

But at this moment, he only had himself in his eyes, and Su Jin found it hard to convince herself to give up. So what if she indulged herself for once?

Even if Zhou Zheng eventually gets back on his right track, and they eventually part ways, at least they had some beautiful memories together.

Zhou Zheng's hands trembled. The tiger in his heart broke free of its shackles and charged towards Su Jin without hesitation, revealing himself to her without reservation.

He pulled Su Jin into his arms, his strength so great it felt like he wanted to meld her into his embrace, their flesh and blood merging together, never to be separated again.

Su Jin gently patted his back, rested her chin on his shoulder, and frowned slightly, "Zhou Zheng, you're hugging me a little too tightly."

"Don't you like feeling pain?" Zhou Zheng bit her shoulder.

It didn't hurt, but it left a tooth mark.

"It's different," Su Jin said shyly. How could he still remember what happened that day?

Zhou Zheng stared at her intently, lifted her hand, bit her knuckles, and left a tooth mark.

"Where is the bathroom?"

Su Jin's ears turned slightly red, but she still tried to remain calm. "Didn't you take a shower? Your shower gel still smells milky."

"Just use whatever the hotel has," Zhou Zheng's voice was slightly hoarse. He tightened his grip on her waist and picked her up. "I won't feel at ease if I don't give you a stamp of approval, afraid you'll run away."

Su Jin instinctively tightened her grip around his waist, afraid of falling off.

Zhou Zheng carried her with one hand and strode towards the bathroom.

A large, round mirror hung on the bathroom wall, spotless and reflecting everything clearly.

The warm shower water shone on their heads. Su Jin couldn't open her eyes, keeping them slightly closed as Zhou Zheng's fingers hooked her camisole and slid it down.

She tilted her head back, and the water flowed down her graceful neck. Her back was pressed against the cold tiles, so cold that she gripped Zhou Zheng's arm tightly.

"cold."

Zhou Zheng pulled her into his arms and whispered in her ear that she wasn't cold anymore. He placed his fingers on her eyelids and gently wiped away the tears that kept falling.

He knew that Su Jin had thin skin and was easily marked, so he deliberately bit her collarbone, leaving a suggestive tooth mark.

The shower was finally turned off, and a large hand slowly wiped the water droplets from Su Jin's face, the movement hardly gentle.

"I'm sleepy, I'm going to bed. Go on out."

Su Jin finally had the chance to speak.

"Sister, I'm not sleepy yet." Zhou Zheng carried her to the mirror.

He reached out and wiped away a patch of condensation from the mirror.

Su Jin looked up and saw her reddened eyes in the mirror. Compared to Zhou Zheng, she now looked like the person who was about to fall apart from the plane ride.

"Zhou Zheng, have you no humanity at all? If you keep this up, you won't get the title!"

Zhou Zheng's expression immediately changed. Between a full meal and a full stomach, he struggled but chose the latter and obediently carried the person to the bed.

Su Jin burrowed into the thin blanket like an eel, her eyelids drooping. In her drowsy state, her yawn carried a hint of grievance, "You put so many marks on her, Coco will definitely have an attack when she sees them tomorrow."

"Go to sleep." Zhou Zheng lowered his head and placed a kiss on her hair.

After tidying up the bathroom, Zhou Zheng lay down beside her, pulled her into his arms, and placed his arm under her neck, acting as a pillow.

Su Jin was completely unaware, only noticing that her pillow seemed softer than usual today.

It wasn't until she woke up in the morning and saw the face of the person next to her that Su Jin vaguely remembered that this was probably her boyfriend.

But Ling Keke is still at home. How is she going to explain to Ling Keke that Zhou Zheng is also there?

She quickly checked her phone to see the time; it was still early! Ling Keke hadn't messaged her, so she probably hadn't returned yet. Even if she had, Ling Keke would likely be asleep first and wouldn't have discovered Zhou Zheng's presence.

"Zhou Zheng, wake up!" Su Jin nudged Zhou Zheng, but he didn't react.

Zhou Zheng would never normally sleep this soundly, but he was so tired from his journey that he didn't even want to lift his fingers.

Su Jin felt a little apologetic. She knew Zhou Zheng was very tired, but she still had to wake him up.

"Zhou Zheng, wake up!"

Zhou Zheng lifted his eyelids, took a deep breath, turned over and closed his eyes again, his voice carrying a heavy nasal tone.

"what?"

Ignoring his morning grumpiness, Su Jin pounced on him, tickling his skin. "Zhou Zheng, Brother Zhou, brother! Get up, okay, okay?"

Upon hearing the keyword, Zhou Zheng actually opened his eyes, unusually lost in thought. "What did you call me?"

"Brother, get up, I have something to tell you."

Su Jin gave in, calling someone younger than herself "brother" was incredibly shameful. But at this moment, she couldn't care less about saving face; it was much better than being "caught in the act" by Ling Keke!
