With a powerful will controlling his body from the inside out, Luo Qianqiu's body was like a high-precision instrument, with all parts working together to unleash a level of efficiency that could never have been achieved before.

He was on edge, feeling as if time had slowed down. The little crocodile that attacked was incredibly fast, but he could clearly track its trajectory.

"Sizzle!"

A burst of intense lightning erupted, swirling around Luo Qianqiu like a battle armor woven with thunder and lightning. He held half of a vajra, as if the god of thunder had descended to earth, wielding the power to control thunder and lightning.

The broken vajra, arriving after the attack, seemed to have foreseen the future, blocking the path, while the little crocodile, like a rabbit waiting to run into a tree stump, crashed right into it.

"Pfft!"

A burst of intense lightning tore the little crocodile apart, splitting it in two and causing it to fall to the ground.

"This is a crocodile!" Pang Bo, who rushed up, saw the corpse on the ground and couldn't help but exclaim, "No, there are crocodiles on Mars too, but there's no water here."

Everyone was stunned, and for a moment they found this statement to be reasonable.

But they quickly realized that this thing was moving like a ghost, so fast that it was invisible to the naked eye. It was clearly not an ordinary species and would not need to rely on water to survive.

"Stop fooling around, run!" In the end, Ye Fan couldn't stand it anymore and dragged Pang Bo along as they continued their mad dash.

This was a life-or-death escape, with people constantly falling down, all dying in almost the same way: blood blooming, a bloody hole torn open in a vital part of their body.

Most of those without Buddhist artifacts died or were injured; only a few survived thanks to the care of those who possessed them.

After a frantic run, the group finally returned to the Five-Colored Altar.

The nine enormous dragon corpses still lay there, exuding an ancient and desolate atmosphere.

"The person is back, but how will the Nine Dragons Pulling the Coffin Begin?" Pang Bo put down the plaque of the Great Thunder Temple and reached up to scratch the hair on the back of his head.

"It's almost there. It's absorbing some kind of special energy to power up the portal to the starry journey. Once the energy is full, it should be time to set off again." Luo Qianqiu pointed to the dissipating protective shield in the sky and the five-colored altar that was emitting a glow.

Upon hearing this, everyone examined the statement carefully for a moment and wholeheartedly agreed with it.

"Brother, your eyesight is truly amazing. If you hadn't reminded me, I wouldn't have noticed. And when you killed those crocodiles earlier, you took them down one by one. That's really impressive." Pang Bo, ever the friendly one, struck up a conversation with Luo Qianqiu.

During their previous escape, Luo Qianqiu saved two people who were almost pierced by the little crocodile. Pang Bo noticed that scene and therefore concluded that Luo Qianqiu was someone worth befriending.

"What I'm talking about is nothing compared to the sheer power and strength of Brother Pang and Brother Ye, who can overcome any technique with sheer force. That's the real power."

With everyone carrying the sedan chair, Luo Qianqiu showered praise on Pang Bo and Ye Fan as if it were free, extolling their strength.

And so, with everyone chiming in and Lin Jia helping to bring up topics, the group quickly became acquainted.

Luo Qianqiu was naturally happy to befriend Pang Bo and Ye Fan, since the sacred fruit in the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land would still benefit from Ye Fan's influence.

Time passed quietly, and the protective shield covering the sky shrank continuously until it barely covered the five-colored altar, almost pressing it to the ground.

Outside, a super dust storm is sweeping across the land, swirling reddish-brown Martian sand into it, making it look like a blood-red tornado.

"Oh no, the shield is about to break!" Suddenly, someone shouted, and everyone's nerves tensed up instantly.

In fact, without anyone reminding them, everyone noticed the change in the protective shield.

Previously, the area inside the protective shield was calm and the sandstorm was kept out. But now, the reddish-brown sand and gravel were swept up by the strong winds, and a small amount of them broke through the shield's barrier and blew in.

Everyone turned pale and looked nervously toward the five-colored altar, hoping that the altar could set off again before the protective barrier broke.

Just as the situation became tense, a figure quietly moved to where Ye Fan was standing. Then, he suddenly made a move, grabbing the bronze lamp in Ye Fan's hand and forcefully pushing Ye Fan with his other hand.

Clearly, this was a plan to steal the light and kill someone.

Unfortunately, he chose the wrong opponent; his forceful push only caused Ye Fan to sway almost imperceptibly.

The atmosphere instantly became tense, and everyone's gaze became subtle.

Enraged, Ye Fan scooped the man up as if he were a chick, and made as if to throw him out of the protective barrier.

"Liu Yunzhi, save me!" The man was trembling with fear and hurriedly begged for help.

Now everyone could see that the man's actions were all instigated by someone else.

Enraged, Pang Bo grabbed the plaque in his hand with one hand and smashed it directly at Liu Yunzhi and his gang.

If this powerful blow were to hit, it would absolutely leave a bloody mess, and anyone who faced it would be horrified.

"Thump!"

Suddenly, a man named Li Changqing next to Liu Yunzhi produced a muffled thunderous sound from the fish drum in his hand, and beams of purple light shot out, striking the front of the plaque.

"boom!"

Almost at the moment the fish drum unleashed its divine power, the plaque in Pang Bo's hand also emitted thousands of rays of light, and the four characters "Da Leiyin Temple" shone brightly into the sky, accompanied by ethereal chanting.

The Buddha's voice preached the Dharma, its sound like thunder!

The light emanating from the fish drum was compressed, almost disappearing, and could not compete with the plaque of the Great Thunder Temple.

"Ring ring!"

A clear bell rang out, and a woman beside Liu Yunzhi raised a broken copper bell in her hand, which shone with a bright blue light, standing up against the plaque along with the fisherman's drum.

In the end, the two were thrown apart by a tremendous force, and neither was able to gain the upper hand.

Although the Buddhist artifacts were damaged, they still contained considerable power. However, those who wielded them were not cultivators, but merely ordinary people, who were unable to unleash their full power. The artifacts only activated their power when they sensed an attack, and their power was not sustained.

At this moment, Liu Yunzhi, who had been silent until now, stepped forward, holding a ruler, and said, "Even if he is wrong, you should not arbitrarily decide his life or death. This is going too far."

"He's wrong, but you can't escape responsibility either." Ye Fan raised the bronze lamp in his hand, confronting Liu Yunzhi.

"They had a feud back in their student days, I never thought it would escalate to this point." Lin Jia stood next to Luo Qianqiu and softly recounted the grudge between the two.

Luo Qianqiu nodded. He naturally knew about this; in the original novel of "Covering the Sky," Liu Yunzhi was the first minor enemy the protagonist encountered before embarking on the path of cultivation.

His deepest impression of this person was that he was treacherous yet lucky. He repeatedly opposed Ye Fan, and after arriving in Beidou, he was thrown into a tiger's den but did not die. He even followed the Great Accomplished Holy Body Divine Thought on the path of cultivation.

If he hadn't brought this upon himself, he probably would have achieved quite a bit.

Speaking of which, the vajra he's holding now belongs to Liu Yunzhi in the original story. It's unexpected that after being intercepted in this life, the other party actually obtained another Buddhist artifact; his luck is truly unparalleled.

"We've known each other for four years, and we should help each other out. Even if he was temporarily blinded by greed, there's no need to kill him," Liu Yunzhi said.

After he finished speaking, a group of people around him echoed his sentiments, all advising Ye Fan to be more magnanimous.

In short, he killed you because he was temporarily blinded by evil. You should not retaliate with violence, but rather repay evil with kindness.

Honestly, Luo Qianqiu found these words bizarre. What kind of thought process could lead someone to say such things with such righteous indignation?

Pang Bo was furious and grabbed the plaque in his hand, ready to rush forward.

On the other side, Liu Yunzhi and his group were not afraid at all. They had the advantage because they outnumbered the others and had four Buddhist artifacts!

"Don't use Buddhist implements."

A calm voice rang out, startling everyone.

Pang Bo turned to look at Luo Qianqiu and asked, "Why?"

"Buddhist artifacts are extraordinary items. When they collide with each other, they will unleash divine power," Luo Qianqiu explained softly, handing the Buddhist artifact in his hand to Lin Jia, and then grabbing the plaque of the Great Thunderclap Temple with one hand.

With a snap, Luo Qianqiu's hand gripped the corner of the plaque.

This time, nothing happened; the plaque did not unleash its divine power.

"You see, only extraordinary beings can activate the divine power of Buddhist artifacts and unleash their power autonomously." Luo Qianqiu released his grip, giving everyone a live demonstration.

Pang Bo suddenly realized something, and when he turned to look at Liu Yunzhi and the others, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up, a smile that even the plaque of the Great Thunder Temple couldn't suppress.

If no one uses Buddhist artifacts, Pang Bo thinks he can take on ten of them!

P.S.: The Earth and Mars arcs progressed very quickly, and many parts weren't explored in detail, such as the treasure hunt and the Bodhi seed—these are all too repetitive and lack originality, and you're probably tired of them already.
