Liu Aiyun was pushed, and she almost dropped her chopsticks.

She said with a grim expression, "Tell me, what's the use of raising her all these years? She's an ingrate."

She turned and put a big piece of meat on He Yaozu's plate, saying, "Our Yaozu is the best."

He Weiye stubbed out his cigarette, his face grim.

"She's our daughter, and instead of toasting her parents, she goes to toast outsiders with her first drink. What kind of talk is that?"

No one paid him any attention; everyone was eating the food on the table. The Sheng family's food was exceptionally delicious.

Liu Aiyun whispered something to the side.

"Don't say this now, people are watching."

Liu Aiyun winked at someone, and He Weiye immediately slammed the bowl on the table, saying to the man, "What's wrong? Can't I even talk to the bride, who's my daughter?"

The man knew He Weiye was a scoundrel, so he ignored him.

When He Zhaoyang and Sheng Yuze were toasting the third table, Chen Huanzhu walked in from the courtyard gate.

She wore a bright floral top today, her hair was permed, and she wore lipstick, making her stand out conspicuously among the gray and blue cotton-padded jackets in the yard.

She walked to the middle of the courtyard and stopped. Without looking at anyone, she walked directly toward the wine glass in He Zhaoyang's hand.

He Zhaoyang was about to clink glasses with the people at the next table when Chen Huanzhu gently nudged her hand.

The wine inside sloshed, spilling a few drops onto the table.

"Sister-in-law," Chen Huanzhu said with a smile, her voice neither too loud nor too soft, loud enough for several tables around to hear.

"Happy wedding! You look beautiful in that dress today."

She continued, "I feel like I'd look great in it, what do you think, sister-in-law?"

The courtyard fell silent for a moment. Someone holding a bowl stopped, and someone else looked over.

Chen Huanzhu didn't give He Zhaoyang a chance to reply and turned to look at Sheng Yuze.

"Brother Yuze, I'm here to offer my congratulations and I'd also like to raise a toast to you. Will you accept?"

As she spoke, she picked up a glass from the table next to her, poured herself a glass of wine, and held it up to Sheng Yuze.

She looked at Sheng Yuze with a bright smile, "Brother Yuze, let's have a drink."

People nearby were already whispering among themselves.

Director Liu wanted to step forward and smooth things over, but didn't know what to say.

He Zhaoyang smiled and reached out to take the bowl of wine from Chen Huanzhu's hand.

Chen Huanzhu was stunned for a moment.

He Zhaoyang held the bowl of wine and looked into Chen Huanzhu's eyes.

"He's had quite a bit to drink today, so I'll drink this one for him."

She tilted her head back and drank the glass of wine, finishing it completely, then looked at Chen Huanzhu.

"I've finished my toast, please sit down."

Chen Huanzhu stood there, a smile still on his face.

"My sister-in-law has a good capacity for alcohol."

Chen Huanzhu smiled again, reached for an empty glass on the table, and poured himself another glass of wine.

"Then this bowl is my toast to you."

She held the cup up to He Zhaoyang, looking directly at her, as if waiting to see how she would accept it.

He Zhaoyang glanced down at the bowl of wine, then looked up at her.

"You just said you wanted to toast him, and I drank for him. Now you want to toast me. What do you want to toast me with?"

Chen Huanzhu paused for a moment, then smiled.

Congratulations on your marriage!

He Zhaoyang looked at her and said, "Okay."

Just as she was about to reach out, Sheng Yuze stepped forward and took the cup in his hand.

He glanced at Chen Huanzhu, his voice neither loud nor soft.

"She's had enough to drink today. I'll drink this bowl for her."

Chen Huanzhu loosened his grip. Sheng Yuze took the glass of wine, tilted his head back and drank it all, then placed the empty bowl on the table.

Chen Huanzhu did not say anything more to He Zhaoyang.

She carried the bowl of wine, bypassed He Zhaoyang, and walked directly to Sheng Yuze.

"Brother Yuze, I'm toasting you with this bowl of wine. I couldn't see you off when you left back then, but now that you're getting married, I should at least offer you a toast."

After she finished speaking, she paused for a moment, and then added a sentence.

"If you drink this bowl of wine, we'll be brother and sister from now on. If you don't..."

She smiled, her voice softening slightly, "Then I won't leave today."

Not many people in the courtyard noticed this area, except for the people at this table.

He Zhaoyang looked at her, glanced at the bowl of wine that had been handed to Sheng Yuze, and then spoke.

"So you mean that if he drinks your wine, you're like siblings? And if he doesn't drink, you're just going to stay here and not leave?"

Chen Huanzhu did not turn to look at He Zhaoyang, but continued to hold the bowl of wine and look at Sheng Yuze.

"Why did your sister-in-law interrupt when I was talking to him?"

"He's my man," He Zhaoyang said. "You served him wine in front of me, so of course I have to ask him about it."

Chen Huanzhu finally turned his head and glanced at her, but it was a very brief glance, as if he didn't care to look at her any longer.

"Sister-in-law, why are you in such a hurry? I'm just offering him a bowl of wine, it's not like I'm going to go with him."

"So you just said you wouldn't leave if he didn't drink, doesn't that mean you're going to go with him, but rather that you're planning to stay?"

Chen Huanzhu smiled and said, "Is your wife overthinking things?"

He Zhaoyang sneered, "Fine, you don't have to leave. You can sleep next to us tonight."

He Zhaoyang spoke softly, only the three of them could hear him.

Chen Huanzhu's smile froze on his face, and his hand holding the bowl stopped in mid-air.

The people at the next table were still playing drinking games, and the children were crawling around under the table.

No one noticed the conversation taking place here.

Chen Huanzhu glanced around to make sure no one was watching them.

She lowered her voice, her smile fading slightly. "Sister-in-law, you're really funny."

He Zhaoyang looked at her, his voice as low as hers.

"Sister, I'm telling you the truth. Are you going to just have a bowl of wine and leave, or stay and watch us in our bridal chamber?"

Chen Huanzhu tightened her grip on the bowl, then turned to look at Sheng Yuze, as if waiting for him to say something.

Sheng Yuze stood next to He Zhaoyang, took the bowl of wine from Chen Huanzhu's hand, and placed it on the table with a very gentle movement.

"I've taken the wine. You can go back now."

Chen Huanzhu stared at him stubbornly, as if she wouldn't leave until he drank.

Having no other choice, Sheng Yuze picked up the glass and took a sip. "Is this enough?"

Chen Huanzhu nodded, then looked around as if searching for someone.

Chen Huanzhu searched around the courtyard and finally found Sheng Huaimin and Qin Meng at the entrance of the main room.

She walked straight over, bent down, and made a sound that was just loud enough for the next few tables to hear.

"Uncle Sheng, Aunt Sheng, I've come to see you. My dad has been thinking about you."

Sheng Huaimin looked up at her and said in a flat tone, "Your father is very kind. Please sit down."

Next, she would serve food to Qin Meng, offer wine to Sheng Huaimin, and whisper in Li Yuzhen's ear.

Everyone around was watching this scene, wondering who this woman was and why she seemed to have such a good relationship with the Sheng family.

Chen Huanzhu looked at He Zhaoyang defiantly, tilting her head slightly as if to say, "Look, I resemble this family more than you do."

People nearby were already whispering among themselves.

"Who is this? They seem to have such a good relationship with the Sheng family."

"I don't know, it seems to be the daughter of an old comrade-in-arms of the Sheng family."
