After Park Ji-hye and her husband reported the kidnapping to the police, the kidnappers sent several more messages using Park Yoon-chan's phone number.

"You called the police so quickly?"

These kidnappers were likely watching Park Yoon-chan's parents' actions at the time. When they saw that they had called the police, they immediately sent photos to threaten them, causing Park Ji-hye and her husband to be afraid to tell the police the truth.

However, since the patrol officers had already come to their home to find out the specifics, the couple had no choice but to lie and say that their son was missing, thus giving up the matter for the time being.

Unfortunately, if the two had told the truth when the patrol officers came to investigate, Park Yoon-chan might have been rescued long ago.

Rod photographed this information as evidence and recorded the numbers.

He then asked the Park couple, "Where is Park Yoon-chan's room?"

Second-floor bedroom.

Park Yoon-chan's room wasn't big; it had a bed, a bedside table near the door, and a wardrobe.

Park's mother must have just cleaned the room; it was fairly tidy.

Rod searched around but found nothing new, except for a photograph lying face down on the bedside table.

In the photo, Park Yoon-chan is seen hugging a girl and smiling happily, appearing to have a close relationship.

"This is Yoonchan's girlfriend... ex-girlfriend. Yoonchan said they broke up about two weeks ago."

Because of this, Yoonchan has been locking himself in his room lately and seems very sad.

Jackson raised an eyebrow and nudged Rhodes. "A new clue, which could be a breakthrough."

The two asked the ex-girlfriend for information and then took photos of her and uploaded them to the group chat, asking José Martinez to verify her identity.

Rod left his business card and bid farewell to Park Yoon-chan's parents.

After leaving Park Yoon-chan's house one after the other with Jackson, they quickly returned to their car. The two chatted for a while, and soon after, Jose sent a message.

"Napa Sairi, 28 years old, of Thai descent, has a prior record of theft..."

Jackson chimed in, "His criminal record, coupled with his complicated love life, gives him a strong motive."

"Not everyone is like your girlfriend. Drive quietly," Rod replied dismissively, swiping his phone screen.

"He was previously convicted of intentional assault and sentenced to... well, there's some suspicion about it."

In murder cases, the police's primary suspect is always the spouse.

Although Napa is not Park Yoon-chan's spouse, the two at least had an intimate relationship and broke up due to some kind of conflict. In addition, her prior conviction for intentional assault naturally increases the suspicion surrounding Napa Sai-lee.

Jackson exclaimed excitedly, "I knew it! Where is she now? Let's go straight there. Maybe with Detective Jackson's guidance today, we can solve this case!"

After reviewing all the files, Rhodes patted his stomach. He had eaten a sandwich before getting up to go fishing in the early morning, and he hadn't eaten anything for a long time, so he was starving.

"No rush, it's already noon. Let's go eat first. Turn left, we'll have Thai food."

Twenty minutes later, still in Koreatown.

Rod and Jackson got out of the car in front of a Thai restaurant.

"Why do you suddenly want to eat Thai food? I can't stand that stuff." Jackson's mouth never stopped, and it even had the rhythm that is unique to black people when they speak.

It wasn't until the two pushed open the door and saw the waiter collecting payments at the restaurant counter that Jackson realized, "Isn't this our suspect, Miss Napa Cyri?"

"Let's eat first. She's not going to run away. We'll talk after we finish eating." Rod was really hungry.

The two ordered several signature dishes, such as Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and coconut chicken soup, which all looked very good.

It was mainly Rhodes who was making the call; Jackson seemed uninterested, instead keeping his eyes on Napa Cyri. It wasn't that he was afraid she would run away; it was mainly because this suspect's figure was too explosive.

Napa wasn't actually considered very attractive by Rod's standards. She was short and had slightly dark skin, but her full breasts and thick, muscular thighs didn't resemble those of an Asian at all.

This, in turn, struck a nerve with Jackson's penchant for Black sexuality.

Rod couldn't bear to watch any longer and nudged Jackson hard with his elbow. "Tone it down. Don't forget why you're here."

After feeling the pain, Jackson waved his hand and lowered his head to show off his food.

After the two finished eating, Rod waved to signal that they should pay the bill.

Napa walked over, glanced at the dining table, and then at Jackson. She had noticed the black man who had been staring at her for a while.

"Fifty-eight US dollars. Here is the receipt."

Rod pulled out his badge. "Nappa Selley, right? We're the LAPD."

"What?"

You have to pay for meals at LAPD too.

Rod briefly explained his purpose. Napa sat at the corner of the table, her eyes slightly red. It was clear that Park Yoon-chan's murder had shocked her, and she recalled it in a low voice with some sadness.

Actually, we met three days ago.

Yunchan asked me to meet him at the RCA Club.

It was a bar. I knew he still wanted to get back together with me, but I didn't agree.

Rod turned on his phone to record, having already obtained Napa's consent.

Rod pressed on, "A friend? Do you know him?"

"I haven't met that person before, but Yoonchan seemed to know him very well."

At this point, Napa gripped the menu tightly in her hand, looking somewhat nervous, "But..."

"Um?"

The two sat in the car, and as Jackson fastened his seatbelt, he asked Rod, "How's it going?"

"Yes, it's clear she was surprised and sad when we told her, but that doesn't completely rule out his suspicion. After all, women are born actresses."

Rod searched for RCA Club on Google Maps; it wasn't far away and showed that it was open 24 hours.

Thirty minutes later, the black Ford Explorer pulled up in the parking lot outside the RCA Club.

This is a bar that doesn't look very big, and there are two big men checking IDs on either side of the entrance.

In California, the legal age to buy shotguns, bolt-action rifles, and other long guns is 18, while the legal age to buy handguns, semi-automatic rifles, and drink alcohol is 21.

Rod showed his driver's license and went into the bar.
