Wizard's Journey

Chapter 103 Wonderful Times

Chapter 103 Wonderful Times

This was a room shrouded in restlessness and oppression, and Green had sweat dripping from his forehead but no time to wipe it away.

"Damn it! The qualifying battle is tomorrow, but this Explosive Flame Spell still needs at least three more days to complete! Three days, just three days! Do I really have to continue researching this spell during the qualifying battle?"

Green covered his head with both hands and roared. It's rare to see Green behave so violently these days.

call……

He let out a deep breath, gritting his teeth as he tried to control his emotions.

Finally, Green sighed and said, "Forget it, since we can't complete this sorcery anyway, one more night won't make a difference. Let's go check out the Bloodsail Alliance gathering. After all, everyone's there except... Yocris."

A sudden, inexplicable sense of loss welled up in Green's heart.

This feeling of emptiness wasn't entirely due to Yocris, but rather because Green felt that as he drew closer to becoming a formal wizard and his foresight and wisdom grew, if Green truly became a formal wizard in the Seventh Ring Tower, and cultivated his spiritual power into physical form as his mentor Peranos had instructed, after many years when Green had regained his peak as a first-level wizard, wouldn't those friends who hadn't advanced to become formal wizards already be...

Green didn't want to think about it anymore, and even tried to avoid it, shaking his head violently.

Because Green's mindset was no longer keeping up with the pain and troubles brought about by his forward-thinking wisdom.

It seems that every formal wizard goes through a phase where they cannot escape the death of their closest friends during their apprenticeship.

This period is like adolescence for a wizard, where a gradually maturing mindset is integrated into future wisdom, and only then will it gradually stabilize, allowing the wizard to become a true first-level official wizard.

The more you know, the more you realize how insignificant and powerless you are.

"Perhaps this will be the last time I see these friends." With a somber tone, Green suppressed his frustration over the unfinished research into witchcraft and stood up in front of the experimental table.

Quietly walking in front of the mirror, Green took off his usual gray robe and changed into a magnificent dark blue aristocratic suit given to him by Lafite. He wore decorative Heart of the Vine earrings, a Fountain of Joy necklace, several dazzling rings, and a dignified hat studded with gemstones. His long golden hair was carefully combed and flowed down his back. He also put on a pair of men's high heels for aristocratic balls.

Even more unusually, Green picked up a bottle of Venus Essence from the corner of the lab table and gently applied it to his armpits and deep into his neck.

Looking at his dignified, solemn, and calm reflection in the mirror, completely unlike his usual imposing, wild, and mysterious self, as if he had become a different person, Green grinned and tried to put on a friendly, polite smile before leaving the room.

Shortly after, Green landed on the ground from the distant sky and walked step by step toward the Bloodsail League Opportunity Field.

Several Bloodsail Alliance members who had never spoken to Green before stood beside him, looking at him with some surprise as they walked toward the venue. They looked at this mysterious wizard apprentice who had kept a low profile but was now making a big splash, and at Green who seemed a little different today.

Green was also watching these people.

I usually have a cold and mysterious demeanor. If I could change that and be more enthusiastic, would I somehow become friends with them through some twist of fate?

Green didn't know, and he never had the chance to find out.

However, today Green greeted these relatively unfamiliar wizard apprentices with a smile and politeness. The apprentices, shocked, returned the greeting, putting on a show of peace and enthusiasm like those hypocritical nobles, while concealing their true nature.

Green kept smiling, exchanging polite smiles and casual greetings with one familiar and unfamiliar Bloodsail Alliance member after another, receiving responses in return. After Green left, these people all showed puzzled expressions, seemingly discussing Green in hushed tones.

Two years ago, Green's appearance on the Academy's Potential Ranking caused a sensation in the Bloodsail Alliance, as it proved that Green had the potential to be on the Black Tower's Top Ten Masters list and was a wizard apprentice who had a chance to win the qualification battle for the Holy Tower's Demon Hunter Wizard qualification!

Green simply walked on quietly, as if trying to memorize all the faces.

Maybe……

From tomorrow onward, these familiar faces, these people who still make Green feel cared about, will forever become Green's memories, becoming eternal memories in the deepest subconscious of Green's heart as time goes by.

Amrond and Belle walked over hand in hand. Although the two never admitted to their relationship, their increasingly obvious intimate gestures made it clear to even a fool that they were in cahoots. It was just that wizards disdained to discuss such trivial matters.

"Green, it's so good that you could come. The sharp-tongued queen won't be able to throw a tantrum now, haha."

Amrond smiled and handed Green a glass of red wine.

Green smiled casually and drank the red wine.

Belle's eyes sparkled as she carefully examined Green's unusual attire, noting how he looked so different from usual. She smiled and said, "Green, your aristocratic outfit is much more attractive than usual. I never realized you were such a charming man."

Green gave a polite smile and shook his head, saying, "I don't know how to dress like that, I'm just Lafite..."

Green didn't say much more after that, because many people knew that Green wasn't a nobleman in the common world, and since some things weren't important, there was no need to mention them.

In the center of the hall, pairs of wizard apprentices were still dancing ballroom dances. These apprentices had genuine smiles on their faces, and some even looked at each other and couldn't help but kiss passionately.

A man walked up to Green, but no one dared to approach him casually. Although he had put on a very casual demeanor and changed into clothes that matched the atmosphere, he still gave off an indescribable coldness, like a cold-hearted monster wearing a layer of fiery human skin.

This man was none other than Solangm.

Looking at Green's unusual attire today, and seeing that Green was also trying hard to put on a relaxed smile, Soram said, "Congratulations on becoming a top talent on the Black Tower Academy's potential ranking list."

Green shook his head slightly, but didn't say anything more. He just smiled politely and said, "Compared to you, a wizard apprentice on the academy's top ten list of experts, I still have a long way to go."

The two nodded to each other in tacit agreement.

The difference was that Soram looked at Green with admiration, as if he was pleased with Green, this unassuming yet outstanding wizard apprentice, just like an elder looking at a junior with a sense of superiority.

however……

Green, however, simply tried to imprint the other person's image in his mind.

Will Solem, the "first" among the wizarding apprentices of this generation, advance to become a full-fledged wizard and join me in the Seven Rings Tower as a demon hunter to fight against the wizarding world?

Or, let it become your own eternal memory...

Green and Solem walked in opposite directions. Green looked at the two familiar figures and walked towards them step by step. However, suddenly, Green stopped and looked at a man on the other side of the ball crowd who was silently raising his glass to him.

His golden hair was slicked back, he had a tall and straight figure and a broad chest. His once thick beard was gone. He was dressed in a formal aristocratic suit, and a petite female wizard apprentice was leaning against him.

This person was none other than Amiida, the man who had once deeply loved Raffi.

When Amida saw Green looking at her, her eyes instantly welled up with tears. To hide her vulnerable emotions, she tilted her head back and swallowed the wine in her glass in one gulp. Then she tried to put on a tolerant smile and gently put her arm around her female companion. However, her arm was too strong, causing her companion to frown.

Green gave the same polite smile, nodded slightly to the man, and without saying anything more, walked through the dancing crowd toward Raffi, Binghamson, and Robin.

"Haha, Green, you've finally arrived! If you hadn't come, Sister Raffi would have come and torn your house down!" Bingham laughed, swaying gently to the music with Robin.

Looking at Binghamson's happy and joyful expression, a genuine smile appeared on Green's face. Green would never forget that dejected night when this seemingly innocent man comforted him. He was a true friend.

There are some friends you don't pay any attention to or care about in normal times, but you only realize they are your true friends when you are in trouble in life.

Green glared at the guy with a smile; true, inseparable friends are always the ones who tease each other.

Green looked around and said, "Hmm? Where's Yokliana?"

Robin swayed her body, pointing a finger at Yokliana, who was wearing a mask amidst the dancing crowd, and said, "Isn't that her?"

Looking over, Grimm saw Yokliana with a mature and sophisticated smile, swaying gently. Her former timid, girlish expression seemed to have faded into memory. Opposite her stood Heinro, the male wizard apprentice Grimm had met during his novice trials.

This ordinary-looking, taciturn, short, and quiet wizard apprentice was intently watching Yorkriana, his steps moving somewhat awkwardly to the rhythm of the music.

I hope that you can experience the happiness of having each other in the years to come.

Finally, after smiling at Binghamson and Robin, Green walked straight to the woman who was drinking red wine and pretending not to see him.

A hot red dance dress accentuated her curvaceous figure, and crystal crescent earrings shone with a captivating luster. Through her short, dark brown hair and long eyelashes, her icy eyes gazed domineeringly at the crowd in the distance. She sat there with such carefree ease, her long, white legs peeking out from under her high skirt, and her exquisite white high heels swaying gently to the rhythm of the orchestra pit.

At this moment, Green silently thought to himself, "She is Raffi. That proud and sharp-tongued queen feared by many, who wholeheartedly protects her family, and aside from certain compromises with herself, she will never change anything because of others' lack of understanding."

"She was just Raffi, an unconventional and unique woman, a woman who made his heart flutter at a certain moment, the most beautiful woman in the world in his eyes, and an eternally dazzling ray of light in his life."

Green silently walked over to Lafite, but Lafite just sat there with his legs crossed, drinking red wine, pretending not to see Green even as he stood right in front of him.

With a playful smile, Green gave an exaggerated bow and said softly, "Beautiful lady, may I invite you to dance?"

A charming smile played at the corners of her lips. Setting down her wine glass, Lafite placed her delicate, white hand in Green's, half-smiling, half-jokingly saying, "I'm afraid your dancing skills might trip me up, won't they?"

Suppressing a laugh, Green said, "Then please take good care of me, beautiful lady."

Beneath the domineering and cold depths of his eyes lay a sweet smile he was unwilling to show to outsiders. Raffi followed Green's invitation and stepped onto the dance floor. Looking down at Green's awkward dance moves, Raffi almost burst out laughing on the spot, but she held it in and tried her best to maintain a special romantic atmosphere between the two of them.

Come to think of it, this was Green's first time dancing, and it might also be... his last.

Green and Raffi stared at each other, both trying hard to suppress their laughter, afraid that they would burst out laughing first and ruin this rather boring trick.

Such camaraderie is rare among wizards these days, especially among dark wizards...

Raffi looked into Green's eyes and suddenly said slowly, "I feel like you're acting a little different today. Has something happened?"

Green's smile remained unchanged as he quietly gazed at the radiant and dazzling Raffi. He slowly lowered his eyes as if avoiding something, gently shook his head, and said, "No."

With a smile, Raffi didn't press the matter, but simply enjoyed the unspoken understanding, affection, heartbeats, and familiar body temperature between the two of them amidst the lively crowd.

As he swayed and danced with Raffaele, Green noticed a woman sitting alone, bored. She was Ilartywen, an ordinary woman with whom Joklis had once been quite close, though he didn't know if they had a secret romance.

In a corner, the Bloodsail Alliance elder named Berg quietly sipped his green champagne, one hand propping up his chin as if deep in thought. His gaze, deep and melancholic, was fixed on the dancing crowd ahead, as if a philosopher were contemplating life.

After a barely audible sigh, Green's smile returned.

Holding Raffi's waist, Green quietly savored this wonderful moment that belonged to him, as if he wanted to imprint this beautiful memory on his soul forever, so that he would never forget it.
