Wizard's Journey

Chapter 1035 A Glimmer of Hope

Chapter 1035 A Glimmer of Hope

"Another indigenous leader has been discovered that needs to be personally eliminated."

Faced with the pointed finger of the Crystal Terminator above the altar, Grimm instinctively gathered his magic power in a chilling manner, intending to dodge, but then saw the giant rat leaning on its magic staff and smiling eerily as it appeared above the Blood Essence Shield of the Starry Sky Summoner on the Summoning Altar.

"Chirp chirp chirp, I've been waiting for you."

The giant rat raised its magic staff high, and in an instant, the starry sky blood essence shield on the altar beneath its feet began to writhe wildly. A strange spider silk broke through the boundaries of time and space, and with a flash of light, it bound the Ghost Crystal Terminator.

kindness! ?

The Crystal Terminator shuddered violently, looking in surprise at the blood essence shield beneath the giant rat. It roared and unleashed a tremendous struggle, its ability to crystallize into sand completely restricted. All its attacks landed on the silk thread as it tried to break free of its restraints.

Raising his hand to hold up the Abyss Magic Staff, a layer of ice shield protected him from the earth-shattering shockwave of the struggling Crystal Terminator high in the sky. Grimm's tricolored eyes looked at the threads shooting out one after another from the altar, gradually wrapping the Crystal Terminator into a cocoon. He swallowed hard and finally relaxed.

Then the gaze shifted to the sky where bloody debris was falling continuously. Behind the crack, the eyes behind the giant metal hand were watching this place.

"Your capable subordinates, whom we sent here, are about to be annihilated. Be angry! Come in and wipe us out! Drive this projection of the Overlord back to its lair!"

Green roared inwardly.

This may well be their only chance. If this metal destroyer chooses to endure and wait for the endless army of metal terminators to wipe them out, no matter who they are in the Netherfire World, they will all die unless the Wizard Alliance ruler arrives!

"No!"

Bound by the altar's silk threads, the Cocoon of the Ghost Crystal Terminator roared in despair, like prey bound by a man-eating spider, yet it was unstoppably pulled toward the altar. A ripple appeared in the Starry Sky Blood Essence Shield, and a vortex resembling a thousand-meter-long maw appeared, its incredible attraction aimed at the Ghost Crystal Terminator.

call out!call out!call out!

The high-intensity particle beams released by the struggling Crystal Terminator were deflected by the powerful suction of the vortex maw, turning into silent, unresponsive projectiles as they hurtled into the bottomless maw.

The Rainbow Potion Saint Mark Wizard landed beside Grimm, while two pseudo-Saint Mark Wizards bowed to the giant rat. The giant rat, with a sleazy expression as it guarded its tattered bag, nodded to the two and then looked at Grimm.

"Chirp chirp chirp chirp, let's see how it escapes this time! Although it didn't summon the avatar of the Spider Queen, it did summon a prominent interdimensional attack and left us an interdimensional passage. As long as the Metal Destroyer descends upon the Netherfire World and the spacetime blockade disappears, we can all escape together through the interdimensional passage!"

As the big rat spoke, it began to communicate with the other wizards. A short while later, the dying Flame Grail, whose strength had greatly diminished, was brought back by the Hoarse Song, and the fat cat's pacifier even ended up in its mouth.

"Meow, its soul is shattered. Although I managed to gather it back together, its magic backfired as a result. It will take at least one or two thousand years to fully recover."

Sitting in the hoarse-voiced wheelchair, the Holy Grail of Flame was deathly pale.

Green felt a little guilty, realizing that he had ended up in this situation because he had tried his best to cover up his corrections.

"Having escaped through the spacetime portal left by the Overlord, his magic is now suffering a backlash. Can he withstand the terrifying pressure from this distant spacetime traveler from some unknown world?"

Green asked with concern, then added in a low voice, "And the way back..."

While the method of using Rainbow Potion and the Stigmata Wizard was feasible, for the wizarding world, the consequences for these individuals were almost the same as those of being sealed in time and space!

The companion of the Netherworld, the Wraith, comes from an unknown world community and has yet to figure out a way to return. It is very likely that he will never be able to return in this lifetime. How is this any different from the consequences of suffering from the Time-Space Sealing Technique?

The endless world contains countless billions of worlds, large and small. For the entire wizarding civilization, traversing it haphazardly is already a dangerous undertaking, let alone for a few minor holy-marked wizards.

I fear that even if they manage to escape this place, they will become homeless, wandering evil gods.

Aside from the Arc Thundercloud and the Wandering Dandelion, other Stigmata Wizards cannot even become Evil Gods. After their source of magic power is depleted, they will become Level 4 or 5 Wizards with only spiritual power, rather than Stigmata Wizards supported by a source of magic power.

"But besides this method, I really can't think of any other way in a short time. Tower of Annihilation, what can you do?"

The hoarse-voiced singer, wearing a black mask, looked at Grimm. The fat cat, the big rat, the dying Holy Grail of Flame, and even the two pseudo-holy wizards all looked at Grimm with hope.

Green's expression stiffened, and he slowly lowered his head.

"My soulmate, Ya Ni Ni Vig, is already waiting for me at the World Gate in the Central Sea. As soon as the Metal Destroyer descends upon the Netherfire World and the spacetime blockade disappears, I will use my spacetime connection talent with Ya Ni Ni Vig to teleport there and escape through the World Gate. I don't know what the outcome will be, but at least there is a glimmer of hope."

After a pause, Green said apologetically, "Your true forms are too large; I cannot use my talent to bring them along in a short time."

After much deliberation, Green still did not choose the Rainbow Potion rat's escape route.

Although, given the way Grimm advanced, even if he escaped to a strange world, he could still survive as a wandering evil god.

Without the resources, knowledge, and information provided by the wizarding world, it would be almost impossible for Grimm, who has become an alien evil god, to improve his wizarding level as quickly as before. Without the social nature of the wizarding world, wizards who evolve by collecting and learning knowledge are inherently inferior to those barbaric races that passively evolve based on talent.

Glug, glug, glug, glug...

The Starry Sky Blood Essence Shield writhed violently, seemingly caused by the frantic struggle of the Ghost Crystal Terminator.

Suddenly, the Blood Essence Shield shuddered violently, and the Ghost Crystal Terminator, which had been pulled inside, struggled out again, its body wrapped in threads and emitting a layer of purplish-red flames.

"You indigenous wizards, my destruction is merely a negligible loss to Skynet. You, who have evolved based on individual superiority, will ultimately be replaced by Skynet's quantum technology civilization!"

With a soft "poof," the Crystal Terminator was pulled back into the Blood Essence Shield and disappeared without a trace.

"Meow, I prefer those cold robots to the emotional Crystal Terminator."

After the fat cat muttered something, he, along with Grimm, the Hoarse Song, and the Holy Grail of Flame, looked towards the dark, blood-red sky of the apocalypse. The giant metal hand that had torn open the black crack that stretched to the horizon seemed to tighten suddenly, and the spatial crack emitted a metallic scraping sound. The primal power of the Netherfire World beneath the earth trembled, and arcs of World Garment rules of electricity moved and flickered between the cracks.

The hearts of the group were also on the edge of their seats at that moment.

Fighting for survival, no matter what escape method is used, this is the only chance for these few people to live!
