Wizard's Journey
Chapter 1168 Secret Follow
Chapter 1168 Secret Follow (Fifth Update!)
Even without Simba as his companion, Green must continue his journey.
According to Simba, without the ability to travel at high speeds, it would take hundreds of years to reach the end of the skeletons, and he didn't know how long it would take to find the Light of Hope to dominate the corpses.
Under these circumstances, after some deliberation, Green chose to abandon his self-sealing technique to build up his power.
The seven-colored runes on his body, which were combined with the neon light, were forgotten and sealed away, and were completely absorbed into the Book of Truth. Grimm's body gradually became transparent, and he continued forward, sensing the guidance of the Shroud of Hope in a hidden state.
Who knows what might be hidden in the other direction the scepter of hope points to?
But the scepter, as the key to a powerful ruler, must conceal something extremely precious, hidden within this deep illusion...
……
Three years later.
In the constant stops and starts, frequently dodging the relentless onslaught of the storms of time, since his encounter with the so-called Will of Truth, Grimm has developed an even deeper apprehension about the Dimensional Eating Path.
This is no longer the material world I've become accustomed to.
In this tracing of light, or what might be called the dimensional esophagus, besides the powerful world lords exiled from endless worlds, there are also some deep illusory disasters sealed within. The greatest danger, however, comes from other illusory rifts and passages of the same level that may appear at any moment, seemingly out of nowhere, as well as some incomprehensible and bizarre illusory phenomena.
After all, before the dimensional war, the endless worlds gathered here had many impurities that were difficult to digest. Other, more dangerous, deep illusory worlds were needed to balance the remaining ones. Therefore, after realizing the cruelty and horror of this place, very few world lords who had fled here dared to roam freely like Grimm.
They were all like Simba, preferring to starve to death in that metallic forest rather than face the endless, bizarre and unpredictable events that might appear at any time.
Rumble...
Intense energy ripples continued to approach from afar. Beneath the robe of appearance, the hidden Grimm, with his three-colored eyes shifting beneath the mask of truth, gazed towards the approaching fighting forces beyond the ruins of the mountain rocks.
The fighting here is far more brutal than in the material world.
With scarce material resources and numerous truly powerful individuals, the longer Grimm stayed in this illusory world, the deeper his understanding of its cruelty became.
However, the two sides in this battle were different from those Green had seen before.
The violent energy fluctuations and life force clearly indicated that both were powerful beings at level six. What caught Green's attention even more was that the two were arguing over a silver goblet.
The two sides engaged in fierce battle were a purple gourd monster surrounded by golden pebbles that constantly changed shape and were on the defensive.
On the other side was a cactus, which was over a hundred meters tall even before it opened its true form. Its body was covered with golden thorns, and it was surrounded by a group of buzzing companion insects. It was on the offensive, constantly trying to snatch the silver wine glass that was caught in the energy ripples between the two sides.
What caught Grimm's attention even more was that it wasn't just two plant-based world rulers fighting each other. With his perception of the Face of Truth, Grimm easily spotted a one-eyed monster hiding under a tattered invisibility cloak, its entire body covered in black gas, with only one pale white eye showing. It was closely following behind the two, waiting for an opportunity to strike.
"What is this?"
Hidden away, Green couldn't help but become curious, peering at the silver goblet.
Enveloped by an unknown, mysterious power, two serpentine creatures formed the armrest of a wine glass. These two serpentine creatures had horns on their heads, four claws on their bodies, and glowing green scales all over their bodies. Their two whiskers were spread out, giving them a majestic and imposing appearance.
"This aura... it's somewhat similar to the malevolent spirit beside my senior sister! But it seems to lack self-awareness, just an empty shell. Could it be... that a dimensional war once took place in the Immortal Realm? Or perhaps, a powerful figure from there perished here?"
As a result, Green couldn't help but become very interested in the silver goblet.
After thinking it over, Green decided to secretly follow the one-eyed monster under the invisibility cloak.
Snatching it from two level six creatures would be too risky, but following this level five creature that is good at hiding would make things much easier.
The fact that two level-six beings are fighting is itself a violent and destructive natural disaster. The fact that they are fighting so openly, and that there are countless truly terrifying beings in this dimensional food channel, yet they still continue, can only mean that this silver cup is extremely important!
As he approached the cloaked creature, Grimm saw a crocodile-like tail, thrashing about restlessly.
Obviously, because there was no good opportunity to make a move, the longer the time dragged on, the more likely it was to be noticed by other powerful beings. If they accidentally attracted the attention of some old monsters who had lived for several epochs in the dimensional esophagus and were just about to be completely digested by the endless world, then no one would be able to leave alive!
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh, is the food here?"
In the distance, a multicolored, hundreds-of-meters-long octopus monster was running wildly across the ground, chasing after the gourd monster and the cactus.
With its immense power, it was indeed much stronger than everyone present. The rumbling and shaking of the earth along the way made it hard to imagine that it was a marine creature before being transported to the Dimensional Esophagus of Light.
The three-colored eyes beneath Grimm's Face of Truth gasped the moment they looked at the giant octopus!
"The true form... is actually this enormous!?"
The true form, measuring tens of thousands of meters, easily reminded Green of a relatively powerful intermediate world. Every so often, terrifying giants from the depths of the ocean would wreak havoc on the entire world. With the rise of a civilization, a powerful sealing technique was set up, sealing this ocean giant into the dimensional esophagus and choosing permanent exile, letting it be digested by the rules of the endless world.
The gourd monster and the cactus, caught off guard by the fierce battle, stopped fighting and fled into the distance.
The one-eyed monster under the invisibility cloak hesitated for a moment, but ultimately chose to secretly follow. The giant octopus obviously did not notice its presence, nor did it notice Grimm's presence under the cloak of invisibility.
Glug, glug, glug, glug...
An endless mud pit, with bubbles rising from its bottom.
After fleeing for seven days, during which they were injured several times by the invisible time rift due to their excessive speed, the gourd monster and the cactus monster stumbled and fell until they reached this swampy area.
Needless to say, in the long river of history, there must have been an elemental being who waged a dimensional war and sacrificed his body for the dimensional esophagus, becoming this boundless quagmire.
Suddenly, a small black ball emerged from the mud bath, resembling a piece of dark coal, only a few centimeters long, appearing low in the sky and blocking the cactus and the gourd monster's path!
