Wizard's Journey

Chapter 1457 Nightmare Bone Demon World

Chapter 1456 Nightmare Bone Demon World (Part 3)

"What is that, a secondary space?"

The Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard gazed at the vortex of nightmare rules gathering high in the sky. The dark red, ominous, and absurd light emitted a chilling aura, gradually forming a mouth in the churning green mist, the passage leading to an unknown destination.

"That's an illusory passage, a virtual space between the Nightmare Bone Demon World and the Wizarding World, but it has been affected by the Nightmare Rules."

Standing atop the glacier hundreds of meters above the Ice Age Sealing Technique, Grimm, with the Face of Truth, diligently observed and responded to the rules within the passage.

"Should we destroy hundreds of Nightmare Gates, which are also hundreds of sources of Nightmare spread, one by one?"

The Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard asked solemnly.

For the guardian wizards under the True Spirit, it's like being a world guardian, a monotonous and boring existence. Therefore, if Green's answer is that he has truly defeated all the sources of these nightmares, the Evil Crystal Mark Wizard will definitely try it without hesitation.

However, this is clearly impossible.

"How is that possible!"

Green snorted, "These Bone Kings, and the Nightmare Bone Demon World, are countless. Destroying one will only result in them being replaced immediately. Destroying them is meaningless. Our goal is the very source of the Nightmare's spread. The Heartless Hunter is the key to summoning the overlapping Nightmare Bone Demon Worlds. However, in the meantime, we should try our best to understand the rules of the Nightmare Bone Demon World. When we do, besides the Heartless Hunter and the special Crystal Terminator, we'll probably face something even more terrifying."

Having said that, Green seemed to have a good grasp of the Nightmare Gate and flew into the giant vortex first. The Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard followed. The green mist around them decreased, while the dark red nightmare objects increased, and an indescribable, eerie, and chilling aura seeped into their bones.

After a full quarter of an hourglass had passed, the two finally felt as if they had passed through a thin membrane, the boundary between the wizarding rules and the nightmare rules, and arrived at a completely new set of rules.

"Phew, be careful. Although there are connecting passages, it's still just a fragment of a shallow, illusory world. Getting lost here would be troublesome. If things go wrong, return to the Wizarding World immediately."

Green gave a word of advice, and the Evil Crystal Mark Wizard grunted in response, focusing intently on observing this illusory world.

The dark sky stretched endlessly, like deathly ashes, but above their heads was a six-colored vortex of green, red, yellow, white, light, and darkness, which was the rule of spring, summer, autumn, winter, day, and night in the wizarding world, connecting it to the wizarding world.

The rules of Nightmare affect the Wizarding World, and conversely, the rules of the Wizarding World also affect the Nightmare Bone Demon World.

Of course, this is not a nightmare world, but just an intermediary space.

Flame-black snowflakes fell from the sky, sometimes bright, sometimes dark. In this world of constantly alternating light and darkness, Grimm stood above the endless land of bones, which was like a dimensional esophagus. The ground seemed to breathe, or like waves, rising and falling.

Looking out with its three-colored eyes, it could vaguely see a dozen or so strange trees swaying and twisting in the distance. They should all be the same strange trees as those at the Moonshadow Ring Wizard Academy, and here they stretched out in a continuous expanse.

Click, click, click, click...

Suddenly, Green and Evil Crystal, who were floating in mid-air, looked down at the undulating skeletal ground beneath their feet.

One after another, locust-like skeletal nightmare monsters emerged from the skeletons, emitting black smoke. Their bodies were covered with ferocious barbs, and all the locust-like tentacles pointed towards the extraterrestrial visitors who had come to this space.

Silent and still, these monstrous locusts, each the size of a normal adult, numbered well over 100,000 and seemed to be multiplying, densely packed and still emerging from beneath the skeletal earth.

The atmosphere grew increasingly oppressive. These locust-bone demons remained motionless, yet they could swarm in at any moment, overwhelming everything in their path.

At that moment, Green made the first move.

It was still that same old lamp, with a tiny flame, the size of a soybean, gradually igniting on the black and white wick. As Green's toes gently touched the ground, with a "hum," an invisible ripple spread to the horizon.

"Alienation Domain!"

Splash splash splash splash...

Centered on Green, the densely packed locusts, like dominoes, spread and disintegrated, quickly extending to the horizon until nothing remained.

Although there were many of these locust bone demons, they were merely small bone demons with the strength of knights, similar to the flowers, plants, and trees that could be found everywhere in the wizarding world. They were not worth mentioning and had no combat power whatsoever.

"The master's magical artifacts each possess mysterious and unpredictable power, with such a wide-ranging influence..."

Halfway through his speech, the Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard sensed something and suddenly looked up at the sky.

Unbeknownst to them, a black cloak, tattered and resembling a garbage bag, appeared in the projection of the two figures. The cloak was shrouded in nightmare energy, obscuring the figure beneath and appearing entirely unreal. Only a pair of blood-red eyes, like tiny red beans, drew attention, silently watching the two figures.

After putting away the Yin-Yang Transformation Lamp, the three-colored eyes beneath Grimm's Face of Truth also gazed at the cloaked monster that had appeared silently. The three of them stared at each other for a while. The cloak, like strange black smoke, appeared and disappeared just as silently.

"Phew... Was that really real? I felt a chilling terror emanating from him!"

The Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard looked shaken, his knuckles cracking as he gazed into the dark depths of this space with growing apprehension.

"It should be the Nightmare King's mental probing, not even a projection. It's probably a near-mysterious existence for low-level wizards, but it can't affect us at all. Hmph, so what if it's probing? Given the connection between the wizarding world and the Nightmare Bone Demon world and the vast distance in time and space, it's nothing but a pipe dream for those Nightmare Kings to descend in their true form. And in this small space, even a clone is impossible."

After saying that, Green's figure floated up again, about a meter off the ground, and flew towards a dozen strange trees in the distance, rising and falling with the waves of the skeletal earth.

A short while later, intense energy fluctuations emanated from the sprawling forest of strange trees. After a short while, the forest returned to calm, leaving only devastation and the fluctuations of the Forgotten Truth Space-Time Sealing Technique.

The space was not small, and after several hourglasses of time had passed, Green still had not found Ainz Ooal Gown.

"You dare to trespass into the Nightmare Land, hmph hmph hmph..."

Blocking Green's path was a solitary giant legbone demon, surrounded by hundreds of black monsters with bat wings, wielding fork-like weapons that made a cacophony of "chattering" sounds, seemingly the clash of their metallic bodies against the metal forks.

"Oh?"

Grimm gazed at the golden giant's leg and sighed, "In life, you were a powerful creature, rare even in the dimensional esophagus. It's a pity that you lived so long ago. It's already remarkable that you can retain this much vitality. And now, with only one leg, you can probably only exert two or three-thousandths of its former power. What a pity."

What Green meant by "regret" was that such a powerful level six creature had perished in ancient history for some unknown reason and had not been able to advance to the level of an endless overlord.

"Master of the Tower of Annihilation, there's a magic array node over here!"

In the distance, the Evil Crystal Saint Mark Wizard floated above an ancient bronze coffin, hundreds of ever-burning oil lamps silently transmitting their messages to the will of the Green. Having entered this illusory space influenced by the rules of the nightmare, he had finally discovered something of value.

"They're here!"

Grimm had no intention of wasting any more words with the bone demon. With a series of "crack" sounds, he petrified it. The bat monsters silently ignited with black flames and fell from the sky, their figures flashing as they flew towards the Evil Crystal Mark Wizard.
