Wizard's Journey
Chapter 1614 Contact with Others
Chapter 1613 Contact with Others
This feeling is unlike anything I've ever experienced before.
After 143 million years, Green's consciousness had very little energy left, and he could not even achieve the most basic communication. Green was now like an alien spirit wandering among the various minor rules, only able to slightly influence some of the minor rules, just like a breeze.
Drizzling...
Acid rain fell from the sky, which is extremely corrosive.
As a spiritual being that walks among the subtle rules, all Green can do at this moment is to influence the trajectory of some raindrops.
Even so, from Green's perspective as he knew the Green Walker, this was still the fundamental influence of life on the regular movement of energy and matter, causing the matter and energy that could originally be calculated using functional formulas to be affected by himself, resulting in the unknown. In other words, his consciousness, which had traversed 143 million years in this world, was still a unique life form.
After being washed away by the rain, the hazy fog thinned considerably. Looking down at the ground, Green saw a dense array of towering factory chimneys billowing black smoke, forming a cloud curtain in the sky that obscured the view. He could vaguely make out humanoid creatures moving back and forth, wearing heavy, corrosion-resistant protective suits and elephant-trunk-shaped helmets, shuttling between cumbersome mechanical vehicles and traveling between various buildings in the vast city.
"It turns out to be a technological world. This so-called hazy smog is factory pollution. I thought it was the ecological rule of this world."
He muttered something to himself and descended from the sky.
Click, click, click...
The bulky mechanical vehicle was actually burning a mineral as its energy source, emitting large amounts of sulfide gas and creating a hazy cloud of pollutants. Its energy utilization rate was only about one to two per thousand.
Such energy utilization is not only outdated and wasteful for wizards known for their high energy efficiency, but also for the new humans in the vast universe.
hiss……
Suddenly, several people wearing heavy, corrosion-resistant protective suits around Green gasped, feeling a chill run down their spines and goosebumps all over their bodies—it was quite eerie.
However, these people obviously didn't think much of it, or even care. They just assumed that their warm clothing was inadequate, complained about the "wonderful weather," and walked away.
Green's current life form is what lower-level creatures describe as a "ghost," also known as an encounter with an evil spirit, which exists but is not common.
"Such a weak creature actually occupies a vast world, and even the demon doll hasn't caused any disturbance in this world. Why is that? Could it be that some stranger rule restricts or binds it?"
Following the subtle light of balance, Green ignored the endless stream of people, the passing vehicles, and the obstruction of walls, transforming into a wisp of wind and arriving inside a boiler factory.
"Found it, the demon doll!"
Green spotted his target at a glance.
However, at this moment, the demon doll seemed to be just an ugly doll, with only half of its body left. It was thrown into the corner of this room full of black minerals like garbage, extremely dirty and inconspicuous. No one would give it a second glance.
Inside the boiler room, a humanoid creature with dark skin and four arms, broad shoulders and a burly build, hummed a strange tune. He used two hands to smash ore into pieces with an iron hammer and shoveled the ore fragments into the furnace. The air was thick with the smells of sweat and sulfur.
"Why is this? Why is the demon doll here like a lifeless doll?"
With little time to spare, Green thought for a moment and then used his limited influence over the subtle details of the rules to blow away the dust that filled the room, forming his own standard three-colored eye pattern of the Face of Truth, which appeared beside the magic doll.
Green waited expectantly, but the doll's only remaining button-like eye did not react at all.
If not for the clear guidance of the Light of Balance, Green would hardly have believed that this was the Demon Doll, a special evolved creature whose power was once comparable to that of a weak overlord.
With all his might, Green used all his influence to barely lift a small piece the size of a fingernail and threw it at the broken half of the doll's body, hoping to awaken the doll.
There are still no results.
"How could this happen?"
After thinking for a moment, Green applied his subtle influence on the rules to the shelf. A gentle breeze blew an empty box off the shelf and onto the magic doll, but there was still no reaction.
As time passed, Green felt himself growing weaker and weaker. Time was running out, and the rules of the Light of Balance were already showing signs of weakening.
Undeterred, Green thought for a moment and then applied his subtle influence over the rules to the gears of the mechanical clock in the room. As the clear chimes rang out, Green looked expectantly at the magic doll, but the doll still did not react in any way. Green was almost in despair.
"Did we fail...?"
Just then, the burly, humanoid creature in the boiler room wiped his sweat, glanced at the clock on the wall, and hissed, "Finally off work, those damn capitalists."
The worker quickly put on his anti-corrosion protective suit, a process that probably took less than twenty seconds, and then left the boiler room, locking the metal door with a "thud," leaving only the flames burning brightly inside the boiler.
The dust settled, and all was quiet.
Just as the extremely weak Green had to sigh and give up on this spacetime experiment, something incredibly strange happened: the button eyes on half of the doll's body glanced at the dust pattern beside it.
Suck……
Looking utterly blissful, the demon doll inhaled a puff of the hazy dust in the air. To Grimm's astonishment, it floated straight up, looking down intently at the tri-colored light-eyed mask pattern formed by the dust on the ground.
"Annihilation Wizard?"
The current demon dolls are at most slightly stronger than a rat in terms of power and aura.
call……
A strange breeze swept by, and the tri-colored light-eyed pattern revealed a smiling face. The demon doll paused for a moment, then took another deep breath. The surrounding hazy, polluted aura seemed to gather around it as if full of life, and was inhaled into the demon doll's stomach before being exhaled. The demon doll actually used a wisp of its omnipotent soul as a resource to supply Green's consciousness in this space-time.
In other words, the Demon Doll process has been upgraded to Endless Domination!
It's not that the demon doll is disguised in this world, but rather that Grimm has entered the demon doll's body and is now facing the heart of the world!
"Hmph, Annihilation Wizard, how did you become like this, with only a wisp of consciousness left? It's a wonder you can still exist in this way after losing your energy foundation."
At this moment, Green, finally able to exist as a hazy cloud of elemental energy with the help of energy replenishment, breathed a sigh of relief and said, "To make a long story short, my time is running out. I came here from a timeline 143 million years in the future, hoping that you would follow me to that timeline and help me with some things. You'll be lost anywhere else, and I think that place is more suitable for you."
"Can I help you with something?"
The demon doll sneered.
It has been thousands of years since Green returned to the material world, but tens of thousands of years may have passed for the magic doll. The two are not at the same rate of time passing.
Feeling the mist enveloping his current vessel, Grimm said in a low voice, "I never expected you to advance to the level of a ruler in this way. The Demon Doll World? Very well, with your power, we can cooperate. As long as you are willing to sign a fate contract and join the Wizard Alliance, I will tell you the secret of the Dark Piercing Gate, and you will control this supreme relic in the future!"
"Not interested."
The demon doll refused to speak, but Grimm didn't care and continued talking to himself: "The so-called Dark Gate was created by an unparalleled and supreme ruler, attempting to serve as a bridge connecting a world of material energy with the dimensional esophagus. I don't need to elaborate on what this means for those old monsters who yearn to escape the dimensional esophagus, do I?"
After a pause, Green continued, "Coincidentally, you also came into contact with this unparalleled supreme ruler. He was a powerful being who, like us, escaped from the dimensional esophagus. He was an existence who once attempted to promote the rules in the dimensional era—the Primordial Dark Ancestor!"
"you……"
The doll showed no interest in the Dark Portal, but when Grimm mentioned the Primordial Dark Ancestor, it clearly stirred up quite a bit of emotion.
