Wizard's Journey

Chapter 163 Annihilation Energy Property Recorder

Green's Demon Hunter Castle in the Seven Rings Holy Tower.

Every day, Lou Ken diligently prepares delicious dishes to meet Xiao Ba's various demanding requests, while Lu Yuhua's spirit becomes Xiao Ba's lackey and follower, fulfilling all sorts of strange and peculiar demands from this demanding myna bird with a strong desire to command.

Bathing the prickly pear, cleaning dust from the ceiling cracks, mowing the lawn, fertilizing the garden...

In short, under the myna's strong desire to command, the two poor Dewdrop Flower spirits basically had no free time, constantly running around, while the cunning myna with its red and green feathers was always trying to come up with new tricks.

The most peaceful and tranquil place in the castle is Green's laboratory.

Wearing a loose and comfortable robe, Green held a carving knife finer than a needle tip in both hands, carving intricate runes on a lava crystal under a microscope. His body remained motionless, and even the carving with the knife was done under the guidance of his mental power.

Therefore, Green did not move at all except for breathing, just like a wizard in meditation.

The practice of using the ancient wizard's voodoo scroll to refine the body through the mixed poison technique, which was essentially a waste of resources, allowed Grimm a lot more time to devote to other research. And the one that occupied the most of Grimm's research time was, of course, the power of annihilation.

After long-term consideration and planning, Green designed a preliminary experimental apparatus to study the energy properties of the power of annihilation.

The experimental principle of this equipment is as follows.

Since the power of annihilation cannot be observed, studied, or collected through any known means, but precisely because the power of annihilation has the property of annihilation on all matter and energy, Green's plan is to create a container filled with a gelatinous substance with extremely high density, then stimulate the power of annihilation inside the container, and then observe the most basic properties of the power of annihilation through the gaps and traces left by the annihilation reaction inside the container, and then decide on the next step of research.

This can be considered the most preliminary research on the power of annihilation in the Green Project, namely: the understanding of the nature and characteristics of annihilation energy.

This rudimentary observation and study of energy is similar to how ancient shamans observed the characteristics and functions of the fire element, and further discovered the heat and light emitted by the fire element.

However, right now, just the most basic experimental equipment involved in this initial understanding of the power of annihilation requires Green to independently manufacture for at least fifteen years!

Green named his planned experimental equipment the "Extinction Energy Reaction Property Recorder".

The annihilation energy reaction property recorder is divided into two parts.

The first part is the main high-density capacity adhesive. This high-density capacity adhesive must meet the following requirements: high density per unit volume, strong energy resistance, fixed shape characteristics, complete transparency without impurities, and the ability to observe reactive color changes.

Of course, there's also a hidden condition: the lower the price, the better.

Regarding this volumetric gel, Green already had several different options in mind. One was to directly purchase some precious materials, but that would be too expensive. Another was to use his alchemy skills and knowledge of pharmaceuticals to slowly modify a gel-like substance called Dorasil into the volumetric gel properties he envisioned.

Another part of the annihilation energy reaction property recorder is the water-fire energy balance counterweight.

According to Green's concept, the Annihilation Energy Recorder should be a cylinder one meter high and one meter in diameter. In addition to the solid crystal glass energy balancing sealing runes around the cylinder, the upper and lower bases are composed of two water and fire element opposing magic arrays formed by six energy reaction node magic arrays, which in turn form the power of annihilation.

The energy nodes on the base, the fire element energy nodes are the lava crystals that Green is currently carving under the microscope with a needle-tipped engraving knife. According to Green's conservative estimate, it would take at least a year to complete the engraving of a single energy reaction point rune, while the fire element energy base and the water element energy base have a total of twelve energy reaction nodes.

Secondly, Green had absolutely no knowledge of the energy balancing sealing technique outside the crystal glass; he even needed to spend witch essence to go to a special place in the Seventh Ring Holy Tower to issue a commission.

Given this series of time-consuming events, and if any unforeseen circumstances arise, Green's most conservative estimate is that it will be at least fifteen years before the annihilation energy reaction recorder he envisioned can be unveiled.

but……

Green has already become a full-fledged wizard. Fifteen years may be a long time for a wizard apprentice, but it is nothing in the long life of a full-fledged wizard.

The perk break between each mandatory mission for a witcher is a full two hundred years.

This is the essential difference between a wizard and a wizard's apprentice.

Wizard apprentices view the development of events based on their own lifespan, and can only see the foreseeable time dimension, which is often a few months or years. If there are wizard apprentices with a longer-term vision, they possess extraordinary foresight.

However, for wizards, a mere theoretical study of witchcraft might take more than a decade. Such a time span is enough for a wizard's unintentional application of wisdom to completely shatter the so-called forward-looking wisdom of the wizard's apprentice.

It's as if the Purple Gold Fragrance family "stole" the fragrance formula of Venus, the goddess of love, from Green.

……

Several months later.

There was still a table full of delicious food. After diligently finishing his work, Lou Ken stood respectfully to the side, watching Green and the other eight slowly savor the fruits of their labor.

Green ate mechanically without any expression, his mind still pondering some of the progress of his previous experiments.

Regarding the enhanced version 1.0 of the Grimm Elemental Staff, it should be officially completed in a few years, at which time I can begin the research and development of the Face of Truth.

Once the Eye of Infinity was forged into the Surface of Truth, Grimm could begin to investigate the secrets of the wondrous lightning patterns on the two broken branches.

Regarding the mixed poison body tempering, the ancient voodoo scroll "Adoration of Edneshamans" has made some progress and can at least meet Grin's requirements for mixed poison body tempering more than fifteen times. The research, analysis and body tempering practice will take about five years.

There has been no progress on the soul text of the devil's contract for the time being.

Suddenly, Xiao Ba's scolding interrupted Green's train of thought.

"You little punk! You bastard! These past few days, without your Eighth Master getting angry or supervising you, you've dared to cut corners and stop cooking wholeheartedly. Do you think your Eighth Master has a good temper and won't get angry?"

The myna bird bristled its feathers, pointed at the leech, and screeched, looking every bit like a fighting cock. The green-skinned leech on the side trembled with fear, staring at the myna bird and Green with a look of terror on its face.

"I...I..."

Louken wanted to argue in the non-standard wizarding world language, but he was too nervous and fearful to say anything.

Ok?

Green frowned. These days, these so-called delicacies had indeed become somewhat bland, to the point that he no longer felt any deliciousness after eating them.

Green was about to reprimand his soul servant, but he suddenly paused, sensing the innocent fluctuations of the other's will within his soul.

Did I wrongly accuse him?

Suddenly, Green remembered something...

Whether it was Elaine, the female instructor at the Black Tower Wizarding Academy, or Peranos, they both appeared indifferent to what they had once considered delicacies during their wizarding apprenticeship, and uttered some indifferent words reflecting on their past experiences that they couldn't quite understand at the time.

Thinking about it now, could it be...?

Have I begun to walk the path they once walked?

No matter how delicious the food is, if you see it every day, you'll lose interest. Only the wonderful feelings you once had in your memory can bring you a truly joyful experience.

With a frown, Green suddenly made a single gesture in the air, and a bottle of Venus appeared in his hand.

Gently unscrewing the bottle cap, as the unique fragrance of Venus, the goddess of love, wafted from the bottle, Green suddenly trembled! After enjoying it for nearly a quarter of an hour, Green slowly opened his tightly closed eyes, looking utterly incredulous.

A beautiful scene seemed to appear before Green's eyes.

And this scene was exactly what happened on that wonderful night when I was gently embracing Raffi, quietly and awkwardly dancing in the Bloodsail Alliance dance floor, accompanied by the light and lively rhythm of the music.

This feeling...

Could this be the so-called beautiful memory that the wizard spoke of, the true wonder of Venus, the goddess of love?

With a wave of his hand, Green gestured for the terrified and innocent-looking henchman to step back. Meanwhile, the angry scolding of Hachi abruptly stopped as Green used his spatial powers to send him out of the hall.

Green rested his hands on his forehead and closed his eyes, seemingly pondering and comprehending the path of a wizard.

Is this the true transformation process from a wizarding apprentice to a full-fledged wizard?

No wonder Mentor Peranos said that all newly promoted formal wizard apprentices are nothing more than a group of wizard apprentices with wizarding abilities in the short term.

Only when a wizard witnesses the death of his former wizarding apprentices and companions, and experiences his own transformation over time, will a true, formal wizard gradually be born.

And at this moment, I am undergoing a kind of transformation that resembles human puberty?

Half an hour later.

Shaking his head violently, Green calmly entered the torture cell. After two and a half hourglasses, Green, having finished his meditation, did not go directly to the alchemy laboratory as usual, but instead went to the Demon Hunter Altar at the top of the Demon Hunter Castle.

Grimm stood atop the Demon Hunter Altar, activating a hidden mark deep within his soul.

A moment later, Green's body disappeared into a black rift, along with the two spirits of the Dewdrop Flower.

In the center of the small island of the world fragments, Green looked contentedly at a sapling that was already knee-high, feeling its familiar life force, and nodded in satisfaction.

That golden ginseng had now truly become a mother tree sapling, and had lost the ability to communicate with its energy through physical senses and limbs.

Green said to the two somewhat panicked Dewdrop Flower Spirits beside him, "From now on, your task is to take good care of this Golden Ginseng Mother Tree. I will leave you some resources later. If you wish to reproduce and thrive here, it will be very safe for you."

After saying this, Green took out some supplies from the dimensional gap, piled them under the two Dewdrop Flower Spirits, and then disappeared into the fragment of his own world in a flash.
