Wizard's Journey
Chapter 1682 The Source of Dimensions
Chapter 1681 The Origin of Dimensions (Part 1)
After walking for a short while, an old man carrying a hoe came along.
Green still retains some memories of this old Berglin. If he hadn't seen the old man in person, he probably would never have remembered that face again in his life. The rules of this illusory world are truly incredible. Is it his subconscious world?
"Hey, Green, what are you doing over there? The road's blocked by the flood, let's go back!"
The old man seemed to be hard of hearing, so his voice was very loud, almost shouting.
"Oh, I'll just go take a look and be right back. You should go home first!"
Green responded almost with shouts, ignoring all advice and continuing to walk.
After a while, a landslide warning sign appeared, but Green ignored it and continued forward, not even caring about the landslide rocks on the road. After crossing layers of rocks, he gazed at the rushing flood. According to the rules of this illusory spacetime, it was the flash flood a few days ago that caused the landslide, so there was a natural cause-and-effect relationship.
Green ignored everything and kept going!
Protected by the light of destiny, I was forcibly summoned to this time and space. So one thing is certain: I will definitely not die.
Visibility was only about five meters in the fog, and everything was hazy and indistinct.
Splash splash splash splash...
The rushing water, mixed with mud, sand, and gravel, completely blocked Green's path. However, Green ignored it and stepped into the muddy torrent, letting the mountain torrent wash over him. It completely bypassed Green, as if he were enveloped by an invisible protective film, and the rules that were unfavorable to him were automatically canceled out.
"A destiny calling?"
The mysterious and monotonous "tap, tap, tap, tap" sound seemed to be right next to his ears, but Green ignored it and continued to move forward, paying no attention to the road signs or warnings along the way.
Gradually, the surrounding area began to become desolate, probably because it had already exceeded the boundaries of Bisel City.
"Something seems amiss. Bisel is a city on a large island on the edge of the Gem Sea, with a temperate maritime monsoon climate. It shouldn't have such a desert environment."
There wasn't even a sound of animals around, and the air felt oppressive. The mud and sand underfoot felt like a lifeless wasteland, a feeling I'd never experienced before...
Squeak!
Suddenly, a flash of lightning disappeared from the dead sand beneath his feet. Immediately afterward, a lightning elemental spirit flapped its wings and said to Grin, "You can't go any further. This is the limit of your exploration. If you don't want to die, go back."
Green looked at this young elite with a strange feeling.
The further away from Bisel City he went, the weaker his senses became, and his emotions seemed to gradually calm down. He was not surprised by the little elf's warning.
"So, who are you?"
As he spoke, Green bent down and grabbed a handful of lifeless sand from his feet, letting it slip through his fingers. He then noticed that as the sand fell to the ground, ripples of silvery-white data light spread out in all directions.
This is by no means a normal or natural phenomenon that someone who has lost all abilities should see!
When the data stream changes like this, the monotonous "click," "click," "click" tapping sound becomes much clearer, as if it's just a short distance ahead.
Green did not show any abnormality. After thinking for a while, he picked up a handful of sand again and scattered it. The data streams changed in circles, but the light waves were much weaker than before. It seemed that some rule was eliminating these anomalies. Although Green could not see the mystery of these data streams, he clearly perceived that the characters that made up the mystery of these data streams were those square-shaped primordial runes.
"I am electronic information, you can also call me high-dimensional data stream, or the source of rules, or even the will of God. The endless world is compiled by billions of me, and then the endless rules stir up the lifeless elements, forming a complex set of random rules and the rules of balance of all things."
Then, the electronic information sprite continued, "This is the source of the endless world. If you go any further, you will reach the birthplace of electronic information, the source of all wisdom. Do not attempt to use this to enter a higher dimension, because you will only be shattered and erased by billions of electronic data information flows, returning to the essence of the endless world. Don't blame me for not warning you then."
You lied to me.
Green said emotionlessly, "You're just a rule trying to stop me, like all the roadblocks before I came. Your appearance is because the world here is too small, or perhaps my progress is too fast, and the speed at which you rules are creating and concealing yourselves can't keep up?"
At this moment, Green grabbed another handful of fine sand and dropped it on the ground. The data stream of the silvery-white light spot had almost faded into nothingness, and the tapping sounds had slowed down.
"Hmph, think what you want. If you're so capable, then keep going! If I were you, I'd better stay put. Although I don't know how you broke through the rules to get here, this is your limit. Just wait for the balancing rules to send you back to your original time and space."
After saying that, the lightning sprite, who called himself an electronic information expert, disappeared back into the desert.
"The oppressive feeling in the wind has disappeared, and the sand is full of life again. But in this real moment, why do I feel fear instead?"
Green has discovered that, apart from the most basic rational thinking, his inner emotions have basically disappeared completely, seemingly because the secretion of hormones in his body has completely disappeared, taking away all his desires and emotions as well.
"Indeed, the absolute rational thinking and profound truths pursued by wizards are not without basis."
Green scattered the meaningless sand in his hand and continued walking forward. As if to verify something, he moved much faster, accompanied by heavy breathing, and the monotonous "tap, tap" sound became incredibly clear again.
Soon, the hard, lifeless feeling of the earth beneath his feet returned, and the oppressive, stifling atmosphere in the air seemed to make it hard to breathe. But Green ignored it all and ran even faster, sprinting forward at full speed.
Gradually, the distant sky darkened eerily, with no clouds or stars, appearing as if it were a vast, empty void. This created an incredibly eerie contrast with the hazy mist over the earth behind them and the clear blue sky above.
"That...that's the power of a higher dimension, the power that erases the balance of lower dimensions!"
