Wizard's Journey

Chapter 177 Setting Off into a World of Mysteries (Part 1)

call out!call out!

Green and Millie stayed together at the Dark Wizard's headquarters.

This time, Green and Millie did not land on the ground in front of the Dark Wizard Headquarters, but flew directly to the open-air plaza on the top of the Hexagon. The plaza was already crowded with people, with about 20,000 Dark Wizard Hunters gathered there.

Further afield, scattered dark wizards continued to gather in droves.

Green and Millie stood in a relatively sparsely populated area of the hexagonal plaza of the Dark Wizard Headquarters building, quietly observing the numerous demon hunters in the surrounding plaza.

According to Green's visual perception, the ratio of first-level wizards to second-level wizards in the square should be about twelve to fifteen to one. In other words, among the twenty to thirty thousand dark wizards in the square, there are less than two thousand second-level wizards with the ability to transform their bodies into elements.

As for a level three wizard?

It's rare to see a level 3 wizard under the Seven Rings of Defense, and even during the Demon Hunt, the proportion of level 3 wizards is unusually low.

The primary reason is that most dark wizards, supported by the wizarding world's policies, are conducting endless experiments and research in their pursuit of breakthroughs to become Saintly Wizards and strengthen the wizarding world. Another reason is that level three wizards are simply too busy; many special missions require them to complete.

For example, the headmaster of the wizarding academy; the order inspection of the enslaved world; the suppression of riots and enslavement of the world; the world coordinate positioning and information collection before the demon-hunting campaign; the Holy Tower Order Maintenance System...

If level one and level two elemental wizards are like ordinary and elite soldiers in the wizarding world, then level three wizards are like high-ranking soldiers who have the potential to become officers.

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz...

Dozens of incredibly fast afterimages fell from the sky, and when they stopped in front of the group, they turned out to be huge mechanical bee-shaped flying machines. When Green rode the giant tortoise of Tiandu Peak on the Black Sea to the Heart of the World, he had seen a peak wizard apprentice of the Sky Holy Tower riding such a flying machine for a fleeting moment.

Millie had clearly never seen such a high-speed aircraft before, and she looked slightly surprised at this moment.

Green, however, was deep in thought.

It's unclear whether these mechanical honey-shaped flying vehicles are part of the Wizarding World's original spatial fortress, or whether they were specially arranged by the Holy Tower to transport dark wizards into the spatial fortress.

If it is part of the original space fortress, then this kind of high-speed mechanical bee flying vehicle should be the 'vehicle' of those elite combat wizards.

The so-called elite combat wizards refer to those witcher wizards who have received the Medal of Honor. The Medal of Honor is divided into three classes: third class, second class, first class, and special class. It represents the elite of the elite witcher wizards. They not only receive preferential treatment in terms of resources and policies, but their status is also incomparable to that of ordinary witcher wizards.

These mechanical bees seemed to be able to carry a maximum of ten people. Once they were full of dark wizards, they all buzzed and shot into the sky as afterimages, passing through the defensive shield and clouds without any hindrance. The whole process took less than a minute, which was truly amazingly fast.

Just moments later.

Dozens of empty mechanical bees flew back again, followed by another group of dark wizards who departed.

Grimm and Millie sat side by side. The mechanical bees flew at breakneck speed, defying the earth's gravity, causing discomfort to the weaker wizards, who activated their defensive mechanisms. Grimm, with his powerful physique, was activating the Eye of Truth, gazing out the window at the incredibly fast mechanical gears on the mechanical bee's wings.

"This...is truly an ingenious and fantastical mechanical design."

Even though he wasn't an expert in mechanics, Grimm couldn't help but exclaim in amazement as he peered into the rapidly operating, complex machinery through the Eye of the Dark.

The Eye of the End does not slow down time within the field of vision, but rather flattens the relative speed within the field of vision. Therefore, the Eye of the End can only be activated when there is an energy-ignorant movement with a relatively high frequency and speed within the field of vision.

Wave!

The mechanical bee passed through the defensive shield without any hindrance and plunged into the thick white clouds above. After a few breaths, the surrounding misty clouds continued for a while, and then a wonderfully calm space appeared.

This is a unique void space in the wizarding world, beneath the water curtain and above the clouds, a vacuum layer of elemental energy.

buzzing...

With a buzzing sound of rapidly vibrating wings, the mechanical bee adjusted its flight angle. The wizards inside the cockpit, who had been tilted upwards, returned to a horizontal angle. Then, with a "whoosh," the mechanical bee turned into a blur and rushed towards a colossal object made of blood-red, cold metal in the distance.

A sound wave swept across, causing ripples to spread through the clouds beneath the mechanical bee.

From afar, Green, Millie, and the other dark wizards in the mechanical bee's cockpit saw the blood-red moon hanging in the sky directly ahead, and there were about three more in the distance. At this time, there were a total of four blood-red moons above the clouds of the Seven Rings Holy Tower.

As the mechanical bees drew closer to the original space fortress, Grimm could no longer see the entire space fortress, but he could see the details of its parts.

The Wizarding World's mechanical wizards' wisdom has created war machines and space fortresses, which are generally hemispherical metal flying machines.

The metal aircraft in front of them was about 12,000 meters in diameter. The hemispherical platform base was made up of pieces of dark red, cold metal plates. Each metal plate was hundreds of meters long and wide. The thickness of the cracks at the joints between the metal plates was enough to fit the mechanical bee aircraft that Green was riding in.

Judging by sight, these dark red metal plates on the base are at least five meters thick!

Several rows of neatly arranged metal doors on the base plate were open, and one after another, three-hundred-meter-long shark-shaped spaceships were slowly flying into them, then being fixed by mechanical arms and pulled into the interior of the space fortress base.

The entire base has about twenty such metal gates.

The snail messengers floating in the sky continuously escorted one giant flying creature after another as they approached the Origin Space Fortress. These flying creatures seemed to be carrying many Ming Division Demon Hunter Wizards.

rumbling...

On the energy ring of the Tree of Life, the Seventh Ring Heart stopped in the void layer. Several spaceships were transported up by the Seventh Ring Heart and then slowly headed towards this primordial space fortress.

Above the clouds, amidst a scene of bustling activity, Green and Millie's mechanical bee aircraft landed on the flat plaza of the space fortress.

The vast plaza of the space fortress, apart from a low wizard tower, had only a few entrances to the base of the original space fortress. Numerous light wizards and dark wizards stood in two distinct factions, exchanging information among themselves.

The number of Ming wizards was significantly greater than that of the Mist and Dark wizards. The wizards communicated with each other in an orderly manner, and then they stood in a formation with only a shoulder's distance between each wizard. They then entered the base of the space fortress, seemingly to assign some task.

On the other hand, the dark wizards, being fewer in number, maintained a certain distance from each other and remained very calm. They rarely interacted with one another, mostly observing everything around them with cold eyes.

Three hourglasses later.

There wasn't a single light wizard left in the vast space fortress plaza. They had all entered the base of the space fortress in an orderly fashion, while the dark wizards occupied the entire plaza, quietly waiting in their positions.

The mechanical bee aircraft completed their mission and entered the fortress from the base of the original space fortress.

A black crack suddenly opened up in the sky, and the crack was dozens of meters long.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Nearly a hundred figures flew out of the black rift and quickly landed on the Origin Space Fortress Plaza. Most of them went directly into the base of the space fortress, while a small number remained on the flat plaza.

Grimm sensed the aura of these demon hunter wizards who had suddenly descended from the black rift and confirmed that they were all true level three archmages.

However, many witchers still looked up at the black crack in the sky that had not yet disappeared, which made Green and Millie beside him realize something, and they also looked expectantly at the black crack in the sky.

Slowly, the figures of three human wizards appeared at the dark rift.

Almost instantly, all the demon hunter wizards in the space fortress quickened their breathing, staring intently at the three wizards who had appeared, their eyes filled with longing and yearning.

These three wizards are the great Stigmata Wizards of the wizarding world!

Click, click, click.

Suddenly, these three Saint Mark Wizards, who were less than two meters tall, seemed to be "stuck" on the other side of a black rift that was tens of meters long. They were unable to truly descend into the Wizarding World and instead arrive at the Space Fortress. This situation was truly incomprehensible to many low-level wizards.

Green was also making some guesses in his mind: "Is it due to the energy system? Or the rules and regulations? Or perhaps a distortion of relative space? Or a spacetime anomaly?"

At this moment, dozens of seven-ringed snail messengers appeared around the black crack.

These snail messengers, like silkworms nibbling on mulberry leaves, kept moving around the black crack. The black crack grew larger and larger, and no longer appeared as a vertical line, but formed a perfect circle with a complete diameter.

A full quarter of an hour later.

A black, perfectly circular hole, over a hundred meters in diameter, appeared in the sky above the space fortress.

Then, three Stigmata Wizards slowly walked out from the very center of the black, perfectly circular void, moving with such care, as if afraid of breaking something.

After the three Stigmata Wizards fully arrived in the Wizarding World, dozens of Seven-Ringed Snail Messengers released energy fluctuations, and the perfectly round black hole quickly healed.

Though their figures were obscured, three Saint Mark Wizards looked down from the sky at everything in the Origin Space Fortress Plaza, which was over ten thousand meters in diameter!

At that moment, the many demon hunters who were looking up felt as if their hearts had been violently clenched, and their breath caught in their throats. Behind the three seemingly ordinary human-shaped holy-marked wizards were three enormous phantoms, each over a hundred meters tall, their exact forms obscured.

A sense of oppression, on a life-or-death level, arose in the heart of every demon hunter wizard.
