Wizard's Journey

Chapter 1947 Searching for Extraterrestrial Relics

Chapter 1945 Searching for Extraterrestrial Relics

The summer sea breeze was pleasantly warm, and the cruise ship rose and fell with the waves. Green and Millie lay flat on the deck and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Two days later.

The sea was eerily calm, unsettling and oppressive.

The boundless sea, reflecting the sunlight like a mirror, makes one wonder if everything seen is an illusion.

"Yo-ho, who goes first?"

On one side, three ladies were preparing for dinner on the deck with fishing rods, while on the other side, Midi, Tom, and Green were gathered around a set of diving equipment, arguing about who should go first to find the so-called Demon Stone and the alien transit point. As good brothers, none of them wanted their best friend to be at a disadvantage.

Finally, the opportunity fell to Tom Ann.

After some initial hesitation, Tom Ann, his face flushed with excitement, eagerly put on his black leather wetsuit. His webbed feet slid back and forth on the deck, and then, with the help of Green and Midi, he put on his oxygen supply device.

Breathing, breathing, breathing...

After putting on his diving goggles, Tom Ann greeted Green and Midi before leaping into the sea with a splash. The three women glanced at them before continuing to fish on the other side of the deck, while Green and Midi sat down on the deck where Tom Ann was diving, opened two cans of beer, and enjoyed their drinks in the bright sunshine.

After half an hour.

With a "plop," Tom Ann leaped out of the sea and, with the help of Green and Midi, was pulled onto the boat. He took off his frogman goggles, and his silent expression replaced his previous excitement.

Green and Midi knew the reason, so they didn't ask any further questions.

From his treasure bag, Tom Ann took out one adventure find after another: fragments of antiques from a shipwreck, unknown metal stones, and even a silver coin. But these were far from the high-tech alien weapon remnants that Midi and Tom Ann had imagined.

Green's gaze lingered briefly on a twisted piece of metal.

As someone of Green's status, he could immediately recognize the properties of this fragment of the magical artifact. It must have been destroyed during the battle with the metal robot legion in the Third Civilization War and remained here. Because it contained a trace of mysterious power, it was not completely digested by the world's rules.

"It should be a part left over from a medieval cargo ship. It is said that people in the Middle Ages made great achievements in metallurgy, optimizing, classifying and experimenting with minerals and metals from various continents."

Tom Ann defined the metal fragment on his own.

"Before the Age of Exploration, Mudala was known as the Devil's Sea by the locals and was shrouded in many mysterious legends. With the advancement of technology in modern society, shipwrecks and plane crashes have become increasingly frequent, adding to the mystery of this sea. Our belief is absolutely correct; there must be some secret hidden here. Let's go and continue our exploration in the sea ahead."

The cruise ship continued its journey.

Millie and the others had already prepared fish soup on the deck. After a quick energy replenishment, Midi was next on his underwater adventure. His dark-skinned girlfriend looked reluctant to part with him and was still kissing him deeply.

"alright."

Midi separated from his girlfriend, turned around, and jumped into the sea with a "plop".

After half an hour.

Midi emerged from the sea after diving, only to find the same result as before – nothing to show for it. Slightly disheartened, Midi took off his diving suit, dried himself off, and muttered sullenly, "Down there is nothing but the garbage of the new generation. This is where warm and cold currents meet, a natural fishing ground, but also a garbage dump."

After saying that, Midi looked at Green and said, "Green, which direction are you planning to go? Our dream depends on you. There's only one canister of oxygen left."

Midi and Tom Ann stared intently at Green, while the three ladies didn't seem to care. Being able to come out and have fun was their greatest joy. At that moment, after applying sunscreen at the bow of the boat, they were taking selfies with their digital cameras, laughing and joking.

"kindness……"

Green pretended to ponder.

Based on his investigation of this world, Green naturally knew that there was no secret wizard base or alien channel here. It was probably just some unknown factor left over from an ancient battlefield. Unfortunately, Green did not wear the Face of Truth, and he did not want himself and Millie, who had just escaped their freedom, to be dragged into other events again before they could fully immerse themselves in this world. Therefore, he had no intention of summoning the rule projection of the Face of Truth.

"Yes, that direction! Don't be discouraged, believe me, we will definitely find the secrets of this world!"

Green pointed towards that strange, inexplicable spot, and Midi grunted in agreement before heading to the driver's seat.

Squinting in the blazing sun, Tom Ann looked out at the vast ocean and said, "We are so insignificant in this world."

Tom Ann's hand was only gripping the can.

"Our finite lives can only explore a tiny space, like a mosquito, insignificant in the waves of history, let alone the vast and boundless starry sky. Although scientists are certain that there must be other life in the infinite starry sky, and that the governments of this world are already in contact with them, we, like livestock kept in a cage, know nothing, feeling helpless knowing how insignificant we are yet unable to do anything..."

Listening closely to the heartfelt sighs of humble, insignificant lives, and immersing himself in their sentiments, Green couldn't help but feel an indescribable emotion. He also gradually recalled his struggle in Bisel City, deciding whether to go to the city lord's mansion to inquire about his wizarding talent for that one gold coin.

The poor lives in this world don't even have the right to struggle, which is one of the differences between the civilized world and the wider world.

"Yes, we are so insignificant. Faced with the infinite unknown, what can we do with our limited lives? It's pitiful and pathetic. Sometimes I hate it too. If only we could live in the high-tech era of the future, when gene therapy could help us increase our lifespan to ten or a hundred times that of now."

Reflecting on the scene, Green sighed in admiration.

The cruise ship had been sailing for a full two hours when Midi in the bridge shouted, "We can't sail any further, we're running low on fuel!"

Green said, "Alright, that's fine!"

With the help of Tom Ann and Midi, Green puts on his wetsuit, and Millie and the two ladies also come to Green's side.

Millie was the tallest and fairest of the three ladies, and the most slender compared to the other two. When she came to Green's side, she kissed Green's neck affectionately. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead and past her eyes. She looked up at Green, and after a moment of eye contact, her red lips met Green's.

After a while, Millie put frogman goggles and an oxygen mask on Green, and Green went into the sea with a "plop".

Looking up from the sea, the sky above is a vast expanse of blue, shimmering with a faint light, and you can vaguely see the silhouettes of cruise ships. Below, there is endless darkness, but within this seemingly infinite blackness, the reflections and fish on the seabed, only a few dozen meters deep, create a sense of depth and layering, exuding an aura of infinite mystery and inclusiveness.

Unfortunately, Green was not a truly inferior life form, so none of this mattered to him.

Beneath the skin of his arm, a faint blue sheen blended into the sea.

Green's attempt to sense things actually yielded results!

Crackling sounds!

With lightning and electric arcs, Green appeared in another distant sea area a moment later. The pitch-black strait canyon was a full thousand meters deep, and the temperature at the bottom of this high-pressure sea was also astonishing. The black volcanic ash mixed with the seawater and boiled, with a faint dark red glow showing in the depths.

But none of this could affect Green in the slightest.

hum...

Green's torrent of will easily separated all the turbidity within the strait. After a brief glance at the abrupt strait, Green determined that it was a trench blasted out by a space fortress's destructive cannon. As circumstances changed, this place had become an ocean and even a mysterious place depicted in science fiction novels.

Rumble rumble rumble rumble!

A strange, irritating friction sound was heard, indicating that the ocean currents had become somewhat turbulent.

kindness! ?

With a flash of red light from the depths of the strait trench, a huge wheel with a diameter of ten meters suddenly appeared in front of Green with a "hum".

The wheel spun rapidly. Although it was made of metal, it had the shape of an ancient wooden wheel and was burning with energy particles in the form of red flames. In the center of the wheel was a disheveled human head, looking somewhat delirious. Deep in its throat, it was chuckling with a low, wicked laugh, and one eye was looking at Green through the messy hair.

In an instant, the atmosphere in this underwater trench became incredibly panicked, and groups of marine life scattered and fled.
