Wizard's Journey

Chapter 195 Deep Shadows

Chapter 195 Deep Shadows

Everywhere you look, there are corpses and rivers of blood, and plumes of smoke rise into the sky from the ravaged land.

The sky was dark red, mixed with blood mist and gunpowder smoke. Every now and then, a group of slave monsters would chase after a few lone golden Amonroes and fly away in all directions. Waves of explosive shockwaves came from behind Green.

Looking into the distance, countless creatures were writhing and entangled in a brutal battle, while in the center were two beings controlling incredibly powerful energy bodies: the King of Mysteries and the Tomb of Words Saint Mark Wizard.

The two level-four creatures occasionally released energy shockwaves, unintentionally flattening the surrounding hills and creating huge craters, killing many low-level creatures in the process.

Grimm floated in the sky, holding the Philosopher's Stone to restore his magic power, and flew towards the direction indicated by his second uncle, Daddaron.

The Demon Hunter Armor is a one-time use item. Once the magic power of the magic stones embedded inside is exhausted, it becomes useless. The next time you return to the Seventh Ring Holy Tower, you can use this Demon Hunter Armor with its magic power depleted to offset five Witch Essences, and then add five more Witch Essences to exchange for a new set.

From the newly equipped wide magic cannon, Grimm knew that the Demon Hunters' victory in this first major battle of their expedition to the Shadow Mystery World was basically assured. The defeated Amonro Shadow Legion was only struggling in its final moments, and some desperate Amonro even began to rush towards the Origin Space Fortress like moths to a flame.

Is it an attempt to turn the tide?

What a foolish and ignorant act!

Given the capabilities of the Origin Space Fortress, even if it were allowed to be destroyed at will, no creature without the abilities of a Level 4 being could cause any devastating damage, let alone the space fortress's self-defense system and the Tomb of Words Saint Mark Wizard residing within it.

Although Green was in danger and almost killed by the guardians of this world, from another perspective, isn't the Whispering Stigmata Wizard, who is currently ravaging the Shadow Mystery World, also a similar disaster for the creatures of this world?

The lower creatures want to fight back?

Only a group of several thousand Ming wizards could possibly achieve that, and unity and cooperation would be essential. Clearly, Amonro in this relatively primitive Shadow Mystery world does not possess this ability.

After an hour and a half, Green slowly descended after seeing a camphor tree, as indicated by a crystal ball, in the distance.

The Zhangma tree is a unique plant in the world of Amonro, and is the underground palace on which the nobles of the Amonro mystery rely for survival. It is divided into two parts: the surface and the underground. The part of the Zhangma tree above ground looks very much like a long loaf of bread eaten by commoners in the wizarding world, with a vent at the top that is constantly "huffing and puffing".

The main material of the Zhangma tree is not the fibrous material in traditional human thinking, but a strange kind of fleshy fat.

It seems that in this world with different rules, most plants are made of a similar fleshy, fatty material.

Based on the records in the crystal ball, it is speculated that the part of the Zhangma tree exposed above ground is probably less than one-thousandth of its total size, with the underground part being the true main body.

At this moment, the towering camphor tree, hundreds of meters tall, made Green ponder how big this underground palace really was.

"Huh? Green?" A surprised voice came from the ground.

At this moment, there were about thirty dark wizards scattered on the ground. Two of them, level two dark wizards, were in the center discussing something with the lower-level wizards around them, and formulating a battle plan.

As Green slowly descended, he looked in the direction of the sound and saw a long mechanical tail that resembled the tail of a scorpion, an exposed mechanical arm, and a huge metal spiral disk on its back. This wizard was actually Victor.

When Green was selling the Ancient Mech Heart, this guy was originally quite interested, but unfortunately, the green-eyed sorceress, Gureene, seemed to be in much better financial condition than Victor.

"Victor, how's the situation here?" Green greeted him and inquired about the situation.

Although Green was also surprised to run into Victor here, he had already considered that the two of them were likely to be on the same demon-hunting expedition, so he naturally accepted the unexpected encounter and immediately got to the point, asking about the situation here.

Clearly, many powerful Amonroes must be hiding under these camphor trees, their combined strength even causing more than thirty dark wizards to feel troubled and hesitate.

The surrounding dark wizards glanced at Grimm, roughly remembering the spiral-patterned gray-white Mask of Truth he wore and his long golden hair, before whispering amongst themselves again to discuss their battle preparations.

A level two wizard floated toward Green. The wizard's head was a huge pumpkin, much larger than his body, and it was a bright orange color. Green couldn't even tell whether it was a transformation spell or a bloodline spell.

Pumpkin Head bowed politely to Green, who simply returned the bow.

"Since you know each other, then I won't presume to explain the situation to you. Our goal is to kill all the creatures inside that resist the will of the great wizard." The pumpkin-headed wizard said menacingly to Green, his mouth full of tiny, sharp fangs, countless in number.

Despite the truth, Green's gaze remained unchanged, and he nodded silently.

"Hmm." The level two demon hunter turned and left.

Among witch hunters, there is no need for many words; each person is only responsible for themselves.

Victor extended his mechanical arm, which was now about thirty centimeters thick and rather heavy. Compared to his time as a wizard apprentice, the material had been greatly improved, and the level of precision and complexity was incomparable. Even the arm itself was equipped with numerous mechanical auxiliary devices.

Click.

After a flip cover on the robotic arm opened, one of the densely packed robotic bees flew out.

Green narrowed his eyes slightly. Through his mental perception, he realized that the energy gathering points inside these mechanical bees were quite ingenious. They were likely self-destruct devices. Although the exact degree of the self-destruct attack was unknown, it was roughly estimated to be over 200 degrees.

And right inside that robotic arm, there were no fewer than a hundred of these robotic bees.

buzzing...

The mechanical bee's wings vibrated at an extremely high frequency. After flying to Viktor, Viktor slowly raised his mechanical arm, extended his fingertip towards the mechanical bee, and inserted a thin metal needle into the bee's interior. Then, Viktor's right eye began to release some image data, like a crystal ball screen.

"This is footage of the underground passages inside the Zhangma Tree that the mechanical bees previously detected. The fleshy barriers inside seem to have absorbed the excessive fire element of this world, causing them to emit light on their own. Therefore, they won't pose an obstacle to wizards with poor perception. However, it's important to be careful, as these fleshy barriers are perfect hiding places for Golden Amonro. It's very difficult to detect those hidden within the fleshy barriers using ordinary methods. And..."

The image in Green's field of vision is from the perspective of this mechanical bee.

All around were these bread-like, fleshy channels that seemed to be constantly contracting and writhing as if breathing. Most of the channels were about thirty or forty meters in diameter, while some were like the underground plaza under the Tree of Life in the Wizarding World.

Swarms of countless low-level Amonro darted about in the mechanical bees' field of vision. These low-level creatures seemed extremely adapted to this underground life, moving much faster inside the Zhangma tree tunnels than on the ground. Moreover, they seemed to be one with these Zhangma trees, often gently squeezing into the fleshy barrier and disappearing into it.

According to Green's estimate, these low-level Amonro are almost twice as strong as those on the ground, and each Amonro is at the level of a low-level legendary knight who has not been modified by bloodline.

Viktor stopped mid-sentence, so Green naturally followed up with, "And what?"

Victor said in a deep voice, "Moreover, the mystery of this world, Amonro, can only unleash its strongest enigmatic energy in the shadows. However, the shadows Amonro refers to are not the shadows as understood by wizards, but rather the depths shrouded in shadow enigmas and the hollow of the Zhangma tree!"

After saying that, Viktor opened his mouth and spat out a scroll. With a squeak, the scroll opened, and three sealed enigmatic energies were struggling among the runes.

Victor pointed to the three clusters of mysterious energy and said, "Look, these three clusters of mysterious energy were collected from the dim shadow clouds at the center of the battlefield, from the depths of the shadow clouds here, and from the low-level mystery Amonro inside the Zhangma tree cave. The difference in their energy properties is a full twofold!"

Ok?

Isolation was also carefully observing the three mysterious energies. Having come all the way from the center of the battlefield, Green had not yet seen the mysterious Amonro under the deep shadow clouds, so he knew nothing about it.

A few minutes later, Green murmured, "13 degrees, 21 degrees, 28 degrees."

In a short period of time, Green used complex calculation formulas to simulate the attack degree of these three mysterious energies under the same mass, and the difference between them was indeed surprising.

If a low-level Amonro were inside the Zhangma Tree Hole, the intensity of his enigmatic energy attack would be at least twice as strong as it would be on the battlefield.

If that's the case, wouldn't it mean that any low-level Enigma Amonro would be as strong as a Glowing Green Amonro if it fought a wizard in the Zhangma Tree Hollow?

Furthermore, those significantly enhanced Golden Amonroes were able to perfectly conceal themselves within the fleshy barrier of the tree hollow...

"Hehehehe, the soul of this low-level creature is indeed just a primitive soul. It has been successfully analyzed and dissected. Let me use it to probe for information, hehehehe..."

Suddenly, a dark wizard burst into unrestrained laughter. Green and the others looked over and saw that this dark wizard seemed to have a strong understanding of soul magic. He was holding a scarecrow the size of an infant and chanting incantations. At the same time, the unconscious mystery Amon was struggling on a simple altar.

The dark wizard's wrinkled skin was ashen, and at the height of his excitement, he suddenly let out a shout, and with a "poof," the scarecrow in his hand spontaneously combusted.

"Damn it! The soul is too weak to withstand the graft! Damn it! Tell me! What are you guarding down there? Why didn't you choose to run away but instead fought to the death?" The wizard roared furiously at the self-igniting scarecrow in his hand, his face contorted with rage, ugly and hideous, his gaunt skin revealing large knuckles that gripped the scarecrow tightly.

"Great Bloodfall Lava Dragon, uh..." The scarecrow turned to ashes.
