Wizard's Journey
Chapter 1954 The Scorpion Woman Deal
Chapter 1952 The Scorpion Woman Deal
Four rat soldiers carried the stretcher toward the Queen's Palace.
The stretcher, a simple one made of rattan tied to wood, creaked and swayed up and down as it passed through the protection of many elite rat soldiers and arrived at the Queen's Palace.
Of the four rat soldiers, two were disguised as Green and Millie.
Although the bat was skin and bones from long-term hunger, it was still quite heavy. Millie and Green were able to disguise themselves well, but the other two rat soldiers were really exhausted and were even staggering as they walked. No wonder this elite soldier of the Queen did not bring any help from the Queen's Palace; no one wanted to do such a hard job.
Compared to the bustling, dirty, chaotic, and chaotic outside, where rat soldiers could be seen almost everywhere, the Queen's Palace inside was indeed a completely different world after passing through the solemn red gate. It was clean, tidy, and brightly lit. Strangely, the statue standing on a fountain in the center of the hall was actually a scorpion woman.
The elite rats in front stopped, and a rat of even higher status, leaning on a cane, walked over step by step. Ignoring the four of them, the rat focused its gaze on the giant bat on the stretcher. After slowly circling it twice, the rat nodded and said, "The Queen is going to communicate with a being from an extremely powerful world today. The other party requires an unknown parasite, which should meet radiation standards. Send it in quickly."
With a somewhat hoarse voice, the rat spoke in a commanding tone to the elite rats in front of Green and the others.
"Yes, Second Elder."
Immediately afterwards, the elite rat gestured for Green and the others to continue forward.
The torches inside the hall were made of animal fat, which Green could clearly distinguish from the smell in the air. There were also some gems inlaid in the ceiling, making the spacious hall even more luminous.
The scorpion statue in the spring seems to have a long history. Even with Green's senses, he couldn't help but feel that it was quite ancient. The deep red rock layer on the outer shell was not formed naturally, but was formed by the strange smoke from the burning torches of oil in the cave over the years. In addition to the normal body of a peerless beauty, there are scorpion legs, scorpion tail and scorpion pincers extending from behind, and bewitching tattoos covering the whole body.
Following the elite rats leading the way, Green and his companions carried the giant bat stretcher into the deeper part of the cave.
hum...
As a strong spatial fluctuation rushed towards them, everything in front of the rat soldiers was covered by a blue halo. Such a fantastical scene, so different from that of lower creatures, was truly shocking to the lowly rat soldiers, who looked completely dumbfounded, as if they had never seen the world before.
After discarding the blue light spots caused by the spacetime ripples, Green and Millie focused their attention on the giant spacetime gate. The figure standing there was not the so-called Rat Queen, but a Scorpion Woman, who looked very similar to the statue in the outer hall!
What caught Green's attention even more was that this scorpion woman was no ordinary creature, but a level six being who had already reached the level of a high-level world master!
Invasive species?
"Your Majesty, King of Sandworms, what do you think of this creature's companion insects?"
After glancing at the bats on Green and the others' stretchers, the Scorpion Woman turned to the giant insect phantom in the portal and spoke.
Unlike typical altars that summon portals to different time and space, this Scorpion Woman's portal was formed within a giant circle. The phantom inside was far more ethereal and indistinct than that of a wizard's altar. It was barely discernible that it was a giant worm with a six-lobed mouth, communicating with the Scorpion Woman.
Lower beings cannot understand the communication of wills between two people, but for Green and Millie, this undisguised communication of wills is no different from a conversation whispered in their ears.
"That is somewhat unusual, but given how much you've tormented the Mother Body, and the vast distance in time and space between us, it's impossible for it to withstand such temporal and spatial pressure!"
The king of sandworms moved his mouth and spoke.
"As long as you are satisfied, that's fine. As for reviving their mother..."
The scorpion woman's tattoo suddenly glowed, changing from its original restrained, mysterious purple to a fluorescent green. Then, it extended a scorpion pincer arm, opening towards the four rat soldiers carrying the stretcher, including Green and Millie. Before the four could react, an indescribable, enormous suction force suddenly arrived. Millie and the other two rat soldiers had their life force instantly drained from their eye sockets and mouths. Green was shocked, not expecting such a turn of events. With a "whoosh," he used elemental teleportation to barely avoid the attack.
Crackle, crackle, crackle...
The power of annihilation kept resisting the scorpion woman's life-draining, but even as a level three creature, it still couldn't completely stop the leakage of its vitality. A portion of it was still absorbed by the scorpion woman, and its skin became much more wrinkled.
"Huh, what are you?"
Green's display of Level 3 creature strength piqued the Scorpion Woman's interest.
With three loud thuds, three dried-up rat corpses fell to the ground like mummies, and then the giant bat corpse on the stretcher plumped up, regaining its vitality.
"It managed to evade my fel energy absorption; it's no ordinary little thing."
The higher beings looked down on the calm of the lower beings with a mocking sneer. A huge scorpion pincer phantom appeared above Green's head. Green barely dodged it with another elemental teleport. With a "boom," the stone bricks under his feet shattered into pieces. Before Green could react any further, with a "plop," a scorpion tail pierced through Green's chest.
"Now you can't escape, huh... hehehehe..."
The mocking smile at the corners of her alluring lips deepened, her long tongue licked around her red lips, and her long tail pulled the already paralyzed Green in front of her, one of her scorpion pincers slowly opening towards Green.
On the other side of the portal, the Sandworm King also became interested and suddenly said, "Don't kill it! I just sensed a strange power emanating from it. If we could eat it alive, it would be quite delicious. I'll trade you a Desert Crystal!"
The Scorpion Woman, who was preparing to use her evil energy to drain Green's life force, hesitated upon hearing the words "Desert Crystal."
Green, whose chest was pierced by the scorpion woman's tail, had a bluish-purple face and his mouth twitching uncontrollably. Although he was a mixed poison body, the opponent's poison was far beyond Green's current limit of poison resistance. He barely controlled his limp facial muscles and said, word by word, "I had only just begun to explore this world, and it's already over."
As if she had finally made up her mind, the Scorpion Woman swung her scorpion tail violently, throwing Green to the front of the portal with a "bang," and said generously, "I'll give you a Desert Crystal in return. You can do whatever you want with this little thing."
With a "clang," a crystal shimmering with yellow light fell to the ground.
"Once it's restored, I want to come over myself and savor the fresh ingredients!"
Blood gushed from the wound piercing his chest, and Green, poisoned to the point of exhaustion, didn't even have the strength to sit up. The Scorpion Woman picked up the Desert Crystal with a satisfied expression, then casually used a wisp of fel energy to heal Green's wound. Several vines sprouted from the ground, binding Green firmly in place. Without even glancing at Green again, and disregarding his true identity, she said indifferently, "I advise you not to struggle; you're just asking for trouble."
"Fel energy? It follows the principle of equivalent exchange of life, but every use of it will inevitably lead to death. No wonder it was sealed in this illusory world."
Green's words finally drew the Scorpion Woman's attention, and she glanced at him.
"You seem to know quite a lot. It's a pity I've already accepted the Sandworm King's deal, otherwise I could try making you my slave. You're male, aren't you?"
Green didn't say anything more, watching the Insect King on the other side of the Time Gate reinforcing it, clearly knowing something.
