Wizard's Journey
Chapter 2054 Dimensional Space
Chapter 2052 Dimensional Space
Within the endless dimensions of the world, in the eyes of ordinary people, time and space are two concepts: the three-dimensional spatial coordinates drawn out by length, width, and height, and the time coordinates of the long river of history.
Just like a dimensional box composed of length, width, and height, which forms a time coordinate axis between the previous second and the next second, all that those high-dimensional creatures can do is to flip these coordinate axes at will.
Whether in time or space, although the conditions for interfering with lower dimensions are very limited, their consciousness can go wherever it wants. This is a way of existence that is hard for creatures inside the endless world dimensions to imagine, and it is also the way of existence in higher dimensions that Green has been thinking about.
The way in which the beings of time exist is the same as that of the knights and the beings of space.
They occupy only a single line of spatial coordinates, yet they traverse one time axis after another, exploring endless dimensions of the world, but their exploration of endless space is beyond their reach.
All of this changed after Green came into contact with the God of Media, combined with his past experiences in the virtual world of Skynet, but due to the completely different perspective of a Level 9 being, his thinking and cognition underwent some reversals.
Time and space are an integral whole; they are only separated by the habitual perceptions of living beings.
The existence of time lies in the movement and change of matter and energy. The absolute stillness of matter and energy is the cessation of time. If one wants to understand the changes of matter and energy in this dimension from the most fundamental and intuitive perspective, Green believes that the essential changes of his infinite microscopic square-shaped symbols are the closest way to understanding the origin of this dimension.
From this perspective, the concepts of time and space are completely different from the cognitive systems of ordinary organisms.
The density of runes determines everything. High-density runes are enough to cause spacetime distortion, which also causes different time flows in different worlds. This is also the reason why small and medium-sized worlds revolve around large worlds and gradually evolve into a world cluster.
The high-density rune lands attract and draw in rare rune spacetimes. Conversely, spacetimes without runes cannot be called spacetimes; they are places where time and space do not exist, and absolute blank areas outside the dimensional range.
Without the changes in runes, there is no movement of time, and similarly, without the support of space, how can it be called spacetime?
When matter is in motion, the flow of time accelerates; when matter is at rest, the flow of time slows down until time comes to a complete standstill.
Every time a wizard goes on a demon-hunting expedition or crosses a distant portal in time and space, it is often just a moment for the traveler, but for the native world or the time-space summoner, a long time has passed without exception. The reason is that during the relative movement of the traveler, the summoner is in a relatively stationary state, which creates a huge difference in the flow of time between the two, which must be filled with a large amount of energy.
This energy is what Green sees as the workings of runes, a combination of time and space.
With a rustling sound, Green turned the pages of "General Theory of Relativity".
This book, which originated from the legendary figure Einstein, still benefits Green greatly even from his current perspective. Whenever he gets stuck in his exploration and thinking about the dimensions of space and time, he will take it out to read, and he will gain new insights each time.
"General Spacetime Relativity" is freely available to everyone in the Wizarding Alliance, from True Spirit Wizards to Level One Wizards, but very few can truly understand it.
"Those higher-dimensional beings can reverse time to see history and foresee parts of the future. It's even possible that this very moment is already history to them. What exactly are endless world dimensions in their eyes?"
After finding the god of media, Greene conducted extensive research on the media world, and even once believed that it was a microcosm of dimensional levels that was closer than the virtual world of Skynet, but he later denied it.
If we make a serious comparison, the relationship between the media world and higher dimensions is still not as good as that between the media world and its own "Grimm's Fairy Tales".
After about half an hourglass.
Sitting on the sofa, Green suddenly closed the book "General Relativity of Spacetime," slowly stood up, and then teleported out of the room.
Green's return was not widely publicized among the wizarding legions of the Demon Hunter Expedition.
The reason why Grimm was able to remain in the Endless World Dimension for so long, besides Xiao Ba's influence, was that Grimm voluntarily relinquished the throne of the Wizard King and existed as a myth, minimizing his influence on the Endless World.
In comparison, either the second-generation Wizard King or Prometheus, the Grand Commander of the Demon Hunter Expedition, was capable of embodying the will of wizards. This was why Prometheus felt he could not live long. The influence he exerted on the endless world from his position as the Grand Commander of the Demon Hunter Expedition Wizard Legion was far beyond what Grimm's projections of high-dimensional mystical power could achieve.
Green's way of being is quite similar to that of the three progenitors of the Abyss Demon Clan.
hum!
Elemental teleportation appeared on the deck of the Eternal Sky City, and Grimm looked around.
Even after more than two hundred years, the enormous changes that occurred after the Eternal Sky City entered 100% combat mode still exist. Apart from the wizard academies that have been transformed back into space fortresses, as far as the eye can see, there is nothing but a barren expanse of metallic luster.
"Hehehe, hello."
Grimm, disguised as a hunched old wizard, carrying a lantern, slowly descended from a black storm elemental spirit.
On the ground was a young wizard with a straw in his mouth, lying on the metal deck, lost in thought and bored.
"Hey, Master, I just wanted to be alone here for a bit. I'm not bothering you with your patrol duties, am I?"
The young man with the straw in his mouth saw Green disguised as a level three great wizard. Although he was only a level one wizard, he was on leave and didn't need to pay much attention to him, so he didn't move an inch.
The behavioral norms of modern wizards have undergone a complete transformation compared to those of ancient wizards.
"Hehehe, no, no, young man, don't be offended. This old man is just bored. I saw you all alone here and it was boring, so I thought I'd chat with you."
The young wizard rolled over and saw the old wizard put down his lantern, then take out a gourd of wine and a copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales. He chuckled and said, "Master, why are you still reading these children's books? Are you getting more and more boring as you get older? Sigh, I've only lived for seven hundred years. Even if I survived the previous war, I don't know if I'll live to see the wizarding world."
Green dismissed it, saying, "Young man, don't underestimate yourself. Haven't you heard? This book was written by the first Wizard King, and it is said to contain the secrets of his supreme wisdom."
Grimm smiled mysteriously and waved the Grimm's Fairy Tales in his hand.
"Pshaw, Master, don't kid me. Who didn't read those books as a child? And I've never heard of anyone claiming to have grasped the wisdom of the First Wizard King. Forget Grimm's Fairy Tales, I even doubt whether the First Wizard King really existed, or if he's just a mythical figure. My life is far too short compared to these myths and legends; who cares about me anyway?"
Despite saying that, the young man seemed to perk up, adding, "If I really want to say what great wisdom I've gleaned from this book of Grimm's Fairy Tales, hehehehe, the goddess of wisdom in it was my mentor, you know. During those restless nights, I dreamt of that goddess of wisdom's voice and smile almost every night, oh..."
The young man adopted a gesture of deep nostalgia.
"Well?"
Green asked in astonishment, "It's just a book, just words. How did you manage to dream of her voice and smile?"
The young man sat up, looking completely speechless.
"Of course it was all in my imagination. I dreamt about it in my subconscious at night! I was even thinking that if I could meet the great first Wizard King in person, my biggest wish would be to have him change the ending of the Goddess of Wisdom, hahaha."
"It's all just wishful thinking anyway, why don't you just imagine it yourself?"
Green's words filled the young man with envy. "How can that be the same? What I imagine is just imagination; others can imagine it too, and everyone's imagination is different—it's all false! But if the First Wizarding King personally modifies it, that's different. It's written down in black and white, and every reader sees it—that's what truly exists!"
The young man seemed to feel out of place talking to Green, and stood up, grumbling, "Master, I need to get ready to work, so I won't chat with you anymore. You can continue reading here."
After saying that, the young man turned and left.
Grimm, looking somewhat dull, held a copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales, lost in thought about the young man's casual conversation.
"What is imagined is just that—imagined. Others can imagine it too, and everyone's imagination is different. It's all false! But if the first Wizard King himself modifies it, that's different. It's written down in black and white, and every reader reads it. That's what makes it real."
Muttering to himself the young man's words, Green said in a low voice, "The world of imagination, that is, the dimensional gap, requires memory to open the dimensional gap, yet it is a false world. The price of entering the false world of imagination is forgetting real memories. Even if I modify it according to someone else's will when it's written down in black and white, it becomes a real world after the reader reads it? No, why is the world's creator bound by other wills, thus altering the fate of the dimensional box? How do you explain those high-dimensional beings who influence the egret's will?"
The contemplation of profound philosophical theories is endless because there are no standard answers. Even the first Wizarding King, Grimm, was but a tiny speck of dust in the vast ocean.
Grimm looked at the Grimm's Fairy Tales in his hand, on page 233, which told the story of the giant Bissar breaking free from the seal of the underground fissure.
Suddenly!
A sudden realization struck him, and Green exclaimed in astonishment, "Could this be the way higher-dimensional life forms travel through time and space?!"
As Grimm's fingers moved, the pages of Grimm's Fairy Tales turned with a "whoosh," and the tens of thousands of years of history recorded inside slid by in Grimm's blink of an eye.
…………
PS: This is still a rather obscure and difficult chapter to understand. It dissects the entire book's setting, especially the first half which explains the setting of endless world dimensions and time. If you like it, you can read it several times. If you really can't understand it, just accept that it's impressive but not really, because I don't know how to explain it in a straightforward way anymore.
