Wizard's Journey

Chapter 249 The Moment of Fatality

Chapter 249 The Moment of Fatality

"Phew... Don't be nervous, don't be nervous! Hmm, at the current freefall speed, this guy will probably take another seven or eight minutes to hit the ground and smash into a pancake, which means I just need to figure out a way before then."

The myna bird clung tightly to the hem of Green's clothes with its tiny claws, its feathers ruffled by the strong wind, and its little eyes darted around trying to find a solution.

After a few minutes of silence...

"Ah! I can't think of a solution at all. Eighth Master is just not cut out for problem-solving! Am I really just going to let this guy be smashed into a pancake and have his primordial soul seed reside in my body?"

The myna rubbed its head with its wings, swaying it from side to side, as if it regretted that its brain capacity was too small.

The key point is that, in this freefall state, even Green's crystal ball couldn't be opened.

call out!

Suddenly, three mechanical objects flew over, each two meters tall, in human form, made entirely of an unknown metal, somewhat resembling human skin.

These were actually three worker-ant-level mechanical golems.

It was clear that the Origin Space Fortress Command had detected the unidentified creatures here. They couldn't make contact, but there were magical fluctuations, so they sent three mechanical puppets to investigate.

Having just survived the Shadow Cataclysm, the space fortress is extremely cautious about any anomalies in its surroundings.

"Huh? Mechanical puppets? I've got an idea!"

After letting out a joyful cry, the myna bird's figure blurred into a blur, and it flew in front of the three mechanical puppets in a flash. It easily dodged the three energy beams and then shouted at the elemental eye of the mechanical puppets.

"Hey guys at command, the wizard here is a demon hunter wizard who was on a mission to become a Great Tomb of the Holy Mark Wizard. He's currently seriously injured and unconscious and needs immediate medical attention."

The mechanical golems halted their next wave of attacks, and the Eye of the Elements pulsed erratically, seemingly awaiting orders from headquarters.

On the other side, Green had already free-fallen for an unknown number of meters.

A full half minute later, a mechanical puppet slowly spoke in a mechanical voice, pausing intermittently: "The fortress has issued an order to dispatch a professional medical wizard. Please wait patiently."

After saying that, the three mechanical puppets flew back towards the space fortress.

The myna bird stared wide-eyed. After a long moment of stunned silence, the sky finally reacted and burst into a tirade of curses.

"Wait a minute? Wait my ass! This guy's going to be smashed to a pulp in a minute! I should have tried to find a soul slave to catch him earlier. Damn it, are all the brains at the Wizarding World Fortress Command bats these days?"

Despite the complaints, the next moment, the myna bird had no choice but to use its talent of infinite coordinate connection with Green to fly to Green's side.

The situation before them startled the myna bird.

"It's over, it's over, it's over... This guy's dead meat."

The myna bird was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. At this moment, Green, who was freefalling, was getting lower and lower. After the cataclysm on the ground, the magma flowed and the hot waves surged and roared in.

"Sigh, with this last bit of time, I can't think of any other way anyway, so I might as well do something meaningful. Hmm, let's think about whether this guy will be roasted to death by the heatwave first? Or will he fall to his death first and then be burned to ashes? Or will his cellular life force disappear and he'll fall to the ground and burn to ashes? Hehe, to hell with you, Eighth Master, I finally... uh?"

The neurotic, fat myna's sinister smile froze as it gazed at the sky above.

hum...

A mechanical bee swooped down with incredible speed, so fast it was like a blur, its sonic waves creating a shockwave as it headed straight for Green.

"Oh... damn it! Does it have to be the last one to appear? Do all the young wizards these days like playing with thrills and heart-pounding games? I curse your children to be a whole nest of little bats."

The myna bird cursed ruthlessly.

The mechanical bee vanished in a flash, rushing to within tens of meters of Green, and then, maintaining a similar descent speed, revealed a demon hunter wizard through the hatch.

This demon hunter wizard wore a tall hat and a loose blue wizard's robe. The wrinkled skin on his face resembled the bark of an old tree, just like most wizards.

The old wizard looked at Green falling freely and was shocked to see that he had become like this.

Behind the old wizard was another wizard skilled in healing magic, who was much calmer. He nodded and whispered, "There is still life force, and the soul and will are still there."

"Hmm." The old wizard nodded, then raised his magic wand and summoned the power of nature.

Strands of cyan-colored natural power began to converge on the falling Green, gradually forming a gentle hurricane that lifted Green gently and moved him into the mechanical bee. The myna bird also flew in after him.

A moment later, Green, whose body consisted only of his head and remains, was gently placed inside the mechanical bee. The medical wizard poured several bottles of potion and then sprinkled a layer of rice-grain-sized white insects all over Green's body.

"call!"

Suddenly, the healer exclaimed in surprise, and the myna bird and the old wizard turned around and were also startled.

The mutated tentacles on Green's body began to actively devour the medical insects, and his remains began to deform, as if they were about to turn into some kind of mollusk.

This is a sign that the life code is collapsing.

"What kind of bloodline witchcraft is this? Has it already begun to reject its host?"

After muttering something to himself, the old wizard cast a spell, setting up a defensive barrier around Green's remains.

The medical wizard on the other side thought for a moment, then took out a bottle of purple granular potion, looked at the myna bird, and said, "A rare privately prepared potion, five magic essences."

The myna bird didn't even blink, pointing its paw at Green and saying, "This guy has plenty of witchcraft, no need to be polite to him."

The medical wizard opened his mouth, but ultimately said nothing, carefully pouring out about a third of the granular potion from the small bottle in his hand.

With a soft "poof," these particles transformed into long-armed, long-legged bean sprouts, attaching themselves to Green's mangled body, taking root and sprouting, quickly enveloping Green in a lush green plant canopy.

The old wizard glanced at the dying Green, frowned, and then looked at the myna bird.

"A mere level one wizard, injured like this and still not completely dead, his vitality is truly tenacious. By the way, did you encounter the powerful Amonro while carrying out a secret mission in the Chaotic Layer, which is why command dispatched me specifically to rescue you?"

The myna bird flicked its tail and glanced sideways at the old wizard: "Secret mission, you've broken the rules."

"Uh... hahaha, hahaha." The old wizard chuckled awkwardly and said nothing more.

The mechanical bee was incredibly fast; in just a moment, it flew to the space fortress and entered the fortress directly through the base hatch.

The interior of the fortress base is usually a gathering place for demon hunter wizard legions, and dark wizards rarely appear there.

At this moment, the large mechanical objects and the disciplined groups of wizards were extremely busy, which really surprised the myna bird that was peering out from the mechanical beehive. It seemed that the space between modern wizards and ancient wizards had changed considerably.

buzzing.

After the mechanical bee stopped, a mechanical puppet resembling a bed board flew over, with three pairs of mechanical legs, like those of a cockroach, moving with incredible agility. Uncle-Master Green, Daddaron, was nearby, along with five other level two and three demon hunters, nervously peering into the mechanical enclosure.

The mechanical beehive door opened, and several high-ranking wizards sensed the presence inside. D'Addaron breathed a sigh of relief, while the other five witch hunter wizards shook their heads and turned to leave.

With a gurgling sound, the mechanical bed caught Green, who was covered in a layer of plants and had softened into a sticky mess. Under Daddaron's command, it flashed with a layer of red light and flew away into the distance at incredible speed.

Every demon hunter and giant mechanical object encountered along the way stopped to make way for this flying mechanical bed.
