Wizard's Journey

Chapter 263 Life Consciousness

Chapter 263 Life Consciousness

Blacksor Tower Wizarding Academy, three places stand out most in Grimm's memory.

First, there is no doubt that it is the small hut laboratory that Grimm Wizard used during his apprenticeship; second, there is the dilapidated stone tablet at the back gate of the academy near the Gem Sea, which is inscribed with the warning: "Give me endless knowledge, and I will use myself as a fulcrum to move endless worlds"; third, there is the seventy-ninth floor of the Black Tower.

The Black Tower has one hundred and one floors.

From the eighth to the eightieth floor, these are the residences of the academy's wizards. Wizards of relatively lower status live together on the larger lower floors of the tower, while high-ranking wizards occupy the areas near the top floor by themselves.

As the instructor Peranos, whose status in the Black Tower Wizarding Academy is second only to the Dean of Stone Sword, the entire seventy-ninth floor of Black Tower, consisting of more than ten large laboratories, is his private domain.

…………

After a brief registration, Green watched the owl, the guardian of the academy, disappear from his sight.

really……

The so-called guardians of the academy are nothing more than a group of soul slaves under the control of the great holy wizard.

Instead of flying straight to his destination, Green strolled through the familiar campus, looking around and trying to find traces of his memories. It seemed that despite more than two hundred years, the wizarding academy had not changed much.

The scattered wizard apprentices, after rounds of brutal selection and battles, have already begun to resemble dark wizards, possessing a strong sense of vigilance and independence, and their eyes gleaming with a cold, eerie light.

The wizard apprentices kept showing surprise, respectfully stopping by the roadside to bow to Green, and only moving again after Green had slowly left.

No wonder, among the dark wizards in the academy, it's rare to see one as "leisurely" as Grimm.

With slow, deliberate steps, Green silently arrived at the door of the small laboratory where he used to live. The laboratory door had long since been replaced with another magical barrier, and an unfamiliar aura emanated from inside.

"I hope that you can complete your wizarding enlightenment in this little house."

After silently offering his blessings to the owner of the cottage, Green's eyes, hidden beneath the mask of truth, showed no further lingering affection as he turned and walked in another direction.

Standing before the dilapidated tower, Green paused for a moment, only to feel a repulsion from the forces of nature.

This is the absolute control of natural power left behind by the Black Tower Stigmata Wizard, seemingly telling later official wizards that entry is forbidden.

The weeds in the yard were still so tall, but even in broad daylight, it felt eerily cold and desolate, as if it were a completely different world.

"The Black Sota Stigmata Wizard seems to be much more powerful than the Tomb Words Stigmata Wizard..."

For Grimm, all the Stigmata Wizards were great beings who could not be looked up to, just as wizard apprentices looked up to first-level wizards and third-level wizards.

But deep down, according to his mentor Peranos, the Black Tower Stigmata Wizard is a rare sixth-level Stigmata Archmage in the entire wizarding world, coupled with some of the feelings he had from the materialized spiritual power of the Ruined Tower...

Although the book describes that the difference in level between Stigmata Wizards no longer represents absolute power, Grimm feels that the gap between Tomb Words Stigmata Wizards and Black Sota Stigmata Wizards has probably reached a generational level!

After pausing for a moment, Green walked forward again and arrived at the former headquarters of the Bloodsail Alliance.

Seeing the wizarding apprentices gathering here and the buildings having undergone significant changes, Green Truth's face revealed a look of satisfaction: "It seems that the legacy of the Bloodsail Alliance has been successfully preserved at the Blacksor Tower Wizarding Academy."

Green sensed the presence of strangers at Raffy Cottage, Bin Hanson Cottage, and Robin Cottage. However, at York Leanna Cottage, although no one was inside, Green felt a vague yet familiar presence from his memories!

Green's keen senses definitely detected the scent of Yorkriana!

Wizard apprentices can only stay at the wizarding academy for one hundred years. After that, the wizarding academy will entrust the older wizard apprentices with local duties. Every ten years, a qualified new batch of wizard apprentices will be selected and sent to the wizarding academy.

Therefore, even without their presence in these familiar friends' cottages, Green couldn't be certain that they hadn't advanced to become official wizards and had completely died.

At least for now, even if they don't become official wizards, if their companion insect is a "moth," based on their age, they might still have two or three decades left, and Green might be able to see them one last time.

But Yokliana's cabin still smells of her recent presence... Could it be...?

She has successfully advanced to become a full-fledged wizard and stayed on to teach at the Blacksorta Wizarding Academy.

Green was incredulous.

How did that naive little girl, who had only survived thanks to her brother's care and had converted all her witchcraft into auxiliary abilities, manage to become a formal wizard on her own?

So, Raffi, Binghamson, Robin, and the others...

Shaking his head violently, Green regained control of his emotions. There were more important things to deal with now, and he wasn't in a hurry for a day or two.

Thinking this, Green gradually calmed his breath and walked straight toward the towering Black Tower in the center of the academy.

Although the location of the magic item shop on the first floor of Black Tower had changed significantly, Green quickly found the shop where the fat man used to be and quietly went inside.

"Honorable Wizard, is there anything I can do for you?"

This was a young and beautiful girl with a full figure, deep-set eyes, and a high nose. When she saw a strange wizard enter the shop, she quickly came over to greet him, her long, wavy, brown-black hair cascading down her back.

"Giggle, young master, is it her? Is it her?"

The myna bird chimed in, looking expectantly at Green, hopping around on his shoulder.

Ignoring the myna bird and the girl's longing gaze as she secretly admired the beautiful, plump bird, Green glanced around the shop and noticed the Venus de Milo perfume on the counter. He asked in a deep voice, "Are you from the Purple Gold Fragrance family?"

The girl was startled, looked at Green, and cautiously replied, "Yes."

"Um."

After nodding, Green said something that sent a chill down the little girl's spine: "Where's Deegan?"

"Uh... my grandfather passed away ninety-five years ago in the family's inner sanctum. Sir, do you know our ancestor?" The little girl's eyelids twitched. It seemed that this unfamiliar wizard had not been here for at least one hundred and fifty years, because her grandfather had returned to the family's heartland one hundred and fifty years ago.

"Oh... that fat man, has he been dead for 150 years?"

After muttering something barely audible to himself, Green glanced at the girl but didn't see any trace of the fat man from before. He nodded silently and turned to leave.

Perhaps, those familiar companions have all died, just like this fat man, in their "brief years" without any information about him.

The guardian puppets on the eighth floor of the Black Tower had already memorized Grimm's soul aura and did not stop him.

Without intending to inform his mentor in advance via crystal communication, Green quickly flew to the seventy-ninth floor of the Black Tower and quietly arrived at the door of his mentor, Peranos.

Feeling a little nervous, Green carefully straightened his wizard robes to make them neater, steadied his breathing, and tried to look energetic before knocking on the door.

Who is it?

A moment later, with a creak, the door opened.

Looking at that familiar face, as if stitched together like a ball, with a toothpick dangling from its lips, exuding an incredibly warm and friendly aura, Green became completely excited. He was about to excitedly say something when…

"Oh, you're back."

Peranos was pleased, but not as surprised as Green had imagined, which turned Green's prepared hug into astonishment.

"Uh... Professor, aren't you surprised I'm back?"

Green was full of doubts about this mentor who was like a father to him, and he hurriedly asked him questions after entering the familiar house.

Peranos, sitting on the sofa, was taken aback by Green's question and asked in surprise, "Isn't it only been a little over two hundred years? You've only sent off two batches of students. If you hadn't died in that other world, you should have been back by now. What am I surprised about?"

After a moment of stunned silence, Peranos suddenly realized, "Oh... I see. Your life consciousness hasn't fully advanced to that of a formal wizard yet, and you're still stuck between the time it takes to perceive a wizard's apprenticeship and that of a formal wizard. It's alright. Once you resolve the emotional entanglements you experienced during your apprenticeship, your life consciousness will be elevated, and you will become a true formal wizard."

As he spoke, Peranos handed over a cup of hot tea, its aroma rich and fragrant.

"Uh... I guess so." Green took the tea and said awkwardly.

Suddenly, a joyful shout came from the doorway of another laboratory room: "Hey! Green's back! What's wrong with your shoulder... Ah! You even brought me some game?"

Green stared in astonishment at the black cat that was slowly approaching, its eyes glowing green, licking its lips hard, and its eyes fixed on his shoulder.

"Huh?"

On Green's shoulder, the myna bird looked around, its little tail wagging, and asked in confusion, "Wild...wild game!?"

This is the third update! I'll add one point to my moral integrity to appease everyone's urging for more updates.
