Wizard's Journey

Chapter 265 Maglev Island

Chapter 265 Maglev Island

The ninety-ninth floor of the Black Tower presents the same familiar scene.

After the War of the Regional Academy, the wizard apprentices were sent into the Black Tower Secret Realm in batches on the Teleportation Scale, and upon returning, they were teleported back to this level one by one.

The magical lights swayed and flickered as the space warped. On the six-star platform, Green stood behind Peranos, recalling everything from his childhood memories as if they were right before his eyes.

call out!

The magic circle flashed, and as the space beneath their feet twisted, they felt as if their bodies were being stretched into noodles. In a daze, Grimm and Peranos found themselves in a dark world where there was no distinction between day and night.

Familiar rules, attached to the wizarding world, this is the Blackthorne realm.

Just as Green had this thought, he paused slightly, casually opened a dimensional gap, and a purple key glowed faintly, with a will faintly connected to it.

"Grimm, you've arrived at the Black Tower Secret Realm?"

That sound...

Indeed, Green would not forget that during the Battle of the Holy Tower, when he fought against the Bell Lord Hillwoods and was finally exhausted, it was by relying on the great will of the Key of Friendship of the Holy Mark that he was able to ensure the foundation of the wizard apprentices who swept across the five regions.

That giant bird with extremely high vitality should be one of the highest-level soul slaves of the great Black Sota Saint Mark Wizard.

Greene replied respectfully, "Yes, I intend to meet the great Black Sota Stigmata Wizard."

"Oh... I see. I thought you were summoning me to the Wizarding World. I'm so sleepy, I'm going back to sleep."

After the giant bird finished speaking, it disappeared without a trace, and the Key of Friendship, the Holy Mark, stopped shining and landed in Grimm's palm.

For beings of this level, their concept of time is probably similar to that of their mentor, Peranos, who always calculates time in centuries.

Furthermore, the lifespan of some exotic creatures in other worlds is not limited to an era like that of wizards, and they are completely unaffected by the passage of time.

"Come this way."

Peranos, carrying Green, flew rapidly in one direction. The vast, dark sea surged, and occasionally, with a "bang," a hundred-meter-high column of water would spray out and fall, seemingly due to the unique address rules of this world fragment.

After flying rapidly for several hourglasses, a blurry black shadow appeared above the sea. Peranos turned around and said, "The Maglev Island has collapsed. The great Black Tower Saint Mark Wizard has lived on it for many years. It's all up to you now."

Green held his breath and looked into the distance.

This is a giant island in the shape of an inverted triangle, floating in the sky, with a volume that is hundreds of times larger than the space fortresses in the Mystery of the Shadows world!

The floating island seemed to be an integral part of this world, subtly rejecting the chaotic rules of the world fragments around it, and thus drifting in the sky.

"This is a piece of void meteorite, one of the few substances known to wizards in the endless world that can withstand the annihilation of void energy," Peranos explained as they flew.

After about half an hourglass period, Green and Peranos finally flew to the edge of the maglev island.

The island is covered with flowers and plants, with towering trees reaching hundreds of meters in height, their vibrant life force undisguised.

However, what truly alarmed Green was the subtle, unintentional aura emanating from the "Island Lord." It was as if a massive magnetic field was constantly being released, enveloping the entire maglev island, telling outsiders that a terrifying life form was inhabiting this floating island.

"Peranos, what is it?"

An energy sphere appeared, and before Green could react, it split in two, each flashing to form two six-pointed star magic circles beneath Green and Peranos's feet.

With a "whoosh," the magic circle distorted the space.

Green's vision blurred, and the next moment, he found himself in mid-air in an unfamiliar place, his relative positions to his mentor, Peranos, unchanged.

This is……

As Greene looked around, a huge book, hundreds of meters long and wide, was laid out on the ground. An old wizard in black robes was holding a quill pen and half-squatting in the center of the open page, writing wizarding characters that were only the size of grains of rice.

The entire book was already covered with a dense mass of text, like countless stars in the sky.

This giant book is about ten meters thick, and it is estimated that about half of it has been written and recorded.

The space around the old wizard's body in the book seemed to be collapsing layer by layer under some inexplicable pressure. Spatial cracks spread like countless tentacles, only to be repaired by the rules of the world. The old wizard appeared as a blur, with only his withered and aged skin and black wizard robes vaguely discernible.

Incredibly mysterious, the old wizard raised his head, and spatial rifts, sometimes long, sometimes short, jumped and faintly creaked, like a sleeping giant taking a nap.

"Huh? Peranos, why did you bring your disciple along?"

The old wizard looked at Grimm, paused for a moment, then exclaimed in surprise, "The Shadow of Nightmares?"

With a flick of his bare hand, to Green's utter astonishment, a bruised claw mark on his skin detached like a piece of paper, floated up, and with a whoosh, flew towards the terrifying old wizard, where it was imprisoned within the black sphere of energy barrier in the old wizard's hand.

The bruised claw marks darted left and right within the black barrier, but to no avail.

The bruised claw marks repeatedly struck the inside of the black barrier, making "bang, bang, bang" sounds, showing the immense power. However, the barrier remained so calm, without even a ripple, as if it had been separated into two different worlds.

The magic tricks performed casually by high-level wizards seem mysterious and unbelievable to low-level wizards.

After a short while, the claw mark in the black barrier seemed to give up its struggle and began to twist like melting ice. In the blur, a hideous and grotesque face appeared.

"roar!"

The grotesque face resembled the head of some kind of primitive sea creature, with a disc-shaped suction mouth taking up half of it. It had no eyes, and when it roared at the old wizard, the black barrier remained completely undisturbed.

"Heh heh, just as described, they are a group of phantoms from nightmares, parasitizing the dreams of living beings and controlling their hosts. Interesting, very interesting..."

After the old wizard finished chanting, he thought for a moment, then opened a spatial rift with one hand, threw the claw shadow into it, and looked up at Green again.

"A third-class honor medal? Not bad, kid. Peranos has trained another good disciple."

Green did not reveal his wizard's shield, but the old wizard already knew about Green's Medal of Honor.

Having said this, the old wizard stood up from the huge book pages. His quill disappeared into thin air, and he rubbed his chin with one hand, saying with a troubled expression, "Originally, you were Peranos's disciple, and you just found a clue to the coordinates of an unknown world for me two hundred years ago. It would be only natural to help you seal this nightmare shadow, but..."

Peranos interrupted the old wizard, saying urgently, "Lord Tower Master, Grimm's Nightmare Shadow was not innate, but rather induced by an infection from an ancient relic of an alien entity."

At his mentor's prompting, Grimm quickly added, "Great Black Sota Stigmata Wizard, my mentor has already informed me about the 'Metal Destroyer Civilization' and is well aware of the impact sealing the Nightmare Shadow now will have on the brutal wars you may participate in in the future. However, I believe that if you could obtain that ancient relic, the help it would provide would far outweigh the loss of sealing the Nightmare Shadow now."

Is it caused by infection from ancient alien relics?

After looking Green up and down for a while, the old wizard murmured, "Hmm, so many? It seems that the ruins are quite large."

Green dared not speak again. Standing in front of this old wizard, Green felt as if he were standing next to the toes of a giant a thousand meters tall. If the giant were to lose focus even slightly or forget his existence, Green would be inadvertently crushed into dust.

This is already close to the limit of pressure at the level of life.

After a while.

Squeak... Boom...

As the enormous book, hundreds of meters long and wide, slowly closed, the Black Sota Saint-Stigma Wizard stuffed the entire giant book into the unknown rift, then joked, "Seal, seal, seal. Hmm, really, Peranos, you little rascal, don't look at me like that, I can't stand it... Just consider it collecting some specimens, little one, take me to see that ancient ruin first, where is it?"

Green let out a sigh of relief and smiled easily.
