Wizard's Journey

Chapter 460 The Mystery of Mirage Desire

Chapter 460 The Mysterious Realm of Mirage Desire (Fifteen)

Grimm was unsure how to proceed with absorbing the power of the Awakening Light from the Mirage Pearl, but the bizarre material known as the "Spring of Azure Rocks" was actually "Blood of the Filthy Eyes," which was indeed right before his eyes.

Green deduced that the secret to collecting the Light of Awakening lay on the altars of those rocky springs, specifically on the Eyes of Destruction within each cave.

Having been trapped in this illusory world for so long, the countdown to reaping the rewards and returning home has finally begun.

This is the great power of wizards in exploring truth and mystery!

Green may not seem to have increased his own strength, but he has explored the mysteries and truths of this illusory world and analyzed its essence and rules. He can then use his own small power to achieve a level of strength that is unimaginable to alien creatures.

creak!

The current Mirage Pearl Ruler, formerly known as the Eye of Destruction, began to slowly close. In Grimm's eyes, however, it was the Shell representing the infinite devouring power of the Mirage Desire Realm that slowly closed, concealing the Mirage Pearl Ruler.

One after another, an endless stream of mirage beads began to fly back into the Devouring Shell and fall into a state of slumber.

Along with this, the red beam of light on Green's chest began to fade until it disappeared completely. This was not a weakening of Green's perception due to the giant mountain obscuring his senses, but rather the restoration of the obscuring effect on his perception.

The ground beneath my feet gradually hardened, and the vortex gates that sometimes appeared and sometimes disappeared blurred were gone.

In Green's perception, the balance rules of the endless world gradually became blurred, which meant that Green could no longer use witchcraft until the balance rules completely disappeared from his perception.

A new day of the Eye of Destruction has begun.

So...

The first thing to do is to collect "blood of the tainted eyes"!

After the Mirage Pearl Sovereign descended, Grimm briefly gained the ability to use witchcraft, which was amplified dramatically by the light of the Mirage Pearl Sovereign's awakening. This made it easier for Grimm to accomplish some of his goals, and he could store the Blood of the Dirty Eye in the dimensional gap without worrying about placement issues.

"Those cubs are worth making good use of."

With these thoughts in mind, Grimm, his face shrouded in the cold, dark gaze of a wizard, slowly walked toward the wizard's cave in the towering cliffs.

Having just experienced the arrival of the Eye of Destruction, all creatures on the Azure Rock Mountain are busy exchanging their resources for the Azure Rock Spring, and the journey is very peaceful.

"The Wizard of Grimm"

As soon as they entered the cave, a cub called out to Green with a sorrowful expression.

If this is what Green sensed before, then it goes without saying that it was a wizard expressing his grief over the death of the Gurendorf Stigmata Wizard.

Green nodded to the cub, then pretended that he still perceived the other cubs as wizards, deceiving himself by stretching out his hands to signal the "wizards" to quiet down.

"The wizards Grunddorf and Gahhan are dead, but we are still alive, and we will live on even better!"

Green glared at him and said sternly, "Stop your sympathy! We are wizards!"

It's unclear what Green's words, through the deception and transformation of this semi-illusory world, would mean to these cubs, but there's no doubt they would have the same effect.

"But that monster is far too powerful. Even the wizard Gurendorf was no match for it. How could we wizards, who have lost our sense of the balance of rules, possibly stand a chance against it?"

One of the cubs spoke dejectedly, its voice filled with despair.

The other cub, however, said with fear, "That monster will definitely come back after it recovers from its injuries. Let's get out of here quickly."

"snort!"

Green suddenly let out a cold snort, his eyes fixed on the timid cubs under their mother's care.

Although they are called cubs, these creatures are actually about the age of fifteen or sixteen in human years, in their adolescence. Since they have such powerful mothers, this species must have extremely strong growth potential, and there is no reason for them to appear so weak as they are now.

"I will not allow you to tarnish the dignity of a wizard like this! Anyone who dares to leave this cave without permission will be killed!"

Green roared, "On this colossal mountain of Azure Rock, there are countless creatures far more terrifying than that monstrous beast. The Azure Rock Spring altar within this cave can be exchanged for the finest Azure Rock Spring water. Once we lose this cave, everyone here will ultimately perish!"

Green's words made the cubs hesitate.

Green must raise these cubs to "work" for him because he has seen through the deceptive rules of this world and has placed his understanding above the rules, just like the crystal ball that was shattered in the classroom of the Blackthorna Wizarding Academy, where wisdom stands outside the rules.

"But we are no match for that giant monster. If it comes again, none of us here will be able to resist it."

Seemingly ignited with confidence, one of the cubs, though making excuses, was also waiting for Green's plans and hopes.

Green raised his head, his voice brimming with confidence!

"It'll take that giant a long time to heal its injuries, enough time for us to devise the most comprehensive plan. I have an ability: if that giant gets there, I'll make sure it never returns, and that will be my reward to Wizard Gurudorf!"

Although Green said he was avenging Gurendorf, the cubs probably already understood it as avenging their mother.

"Then why didn't you use that ability sooner? Then Grunddorf wouldn't have died!"

A wizard shouted angrily at Grimm.

Green knew that the real issue was that the cub was angry at itself for not saving its mother, rather than the human trust between wizards.

Green put on the same pained expression and took out a large chunk of the Azure Rock Spring that he had stored away.

"My ability requires an extremely high amount of energy. Even though I have been desperately storing Azure Rock Spring water, it is only a drop in the ocean, a mere drop in the ocean."

Grimm gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with hatred, and said, "As long as I gather enough Azure Rock Spring water, I'm confident I can kill that monster!"

Green's words seemed to give these cubs a glimmer of hope!

A cub, its eyes brimming with fervor, cried out, "We'll help you!"

Green breathed a sigh of relief...

He finally said it!

There are over sixty cubs here. Even if only half of them survive, the daily harvest of one mirage pearl per cub would still amount to thirty mirage pearls, which is many times better than the collection from Grimm's adventures.

This is the power of wisdom.

Just when Grimm thought the matter was over and he could begin calculating his return journey, a cub beside him looked up and said, "Wizard Grimm, did you know that Grunddorf stored up a batch of Azure Rock Spring water to distribute as a reward of Magic Source to us?"

After a brief moment of surprise, Green exclaimed with delight, "I don't know, where is it?"

A moment later, thousands of massive ice blocks from the Azure Rock Spring appeared in Green's field of vision.

…………

After the second day of destruction, Green began to teach the cubs how to hunt mirage pearls, thus accelerating their growth.

Of course, in Green's words, it meant teaching these wizards simple body-refining techniques without using witchcraft.

Since Green never absorbs the power of the Azure Rocks, they naturally wouldn't think that Green was deceiving them.

Even if Grimm hadn't gained real perception, he would surely have regarded these wizards he once saw as the most trustworthy people in this illusory world. Conversely, deceived by perception, these cubs would also have trusted Grimm, their "kin," implicitly.

The following dozens of days of destruction.

Almost every few days, Green would receive news of cubs dying. Seeing so many cubs grieving, Green would constantly encourage them to turn their grief into strength.

"This is the path to becoming a body-refining wizard. As long as we survive, we will grow stronger and stronger, and avenge the wizard Gurendorf!"

After the initial period of daily fear and anxiety, the other cubs seem to have awakened the ferocious instincts of their own species and are growing at an astonishing speed.

Another two hundred or so days have passed since the Eye of Destruction descended.

Green rarely receives news of "wizards" dying anymore, and he no longer needs to collect mirage pearls by hand. Every day, these cubs bring Green a stable harvest of mirage pearl resources.

At this moment, Green was using the experimental spirit of a wizard to throw one mirage bead after another onto the altar of the Azure Rock Spring, carefully observing the Azure Rock Spring absorbing the awakening light within the mirage bead.

The colossal mountain of Cangyan continuously stimulated the Mirage Pearl Ruler by using those sluggish, massive Cangyan power creatures, with the ultimate goal of absorbing the intense awakening light of the Mirage Pearl Ruler.

At this point, Green was certain that the secret of the Azure Rock Giant Mountain absorbing the light of awakening must lie in these "Eyes of Destruction" disguised as the Azure Rock Spring Altar.

"Wizard Grimm, another alien creature has crossed over to the vicinity of the wizard's cave."

One of the cubs, looking pale, reported to Green that another cub outside appeared to be seriously injured, but was not dead.

A cold glint flashed in Green's eyes, and he nodded.

"Um!"

Then, Green walked out of the wizard's cave.

At this moment, Green, like Gurendorf before him, became the strongest leader of this cave.

Although Grimm no longer needs to collect them personally to reap a large harvest of mirage pearls, he also has a corresponding responsibility: to kill other alien creatures that invade his territory!
