Wizard's Journey

Chapter 465 Parasite

Chapter 465 Parasite

There was no corrosive digestive fluid as Green had imagined.

The interior of this behemoth was surprisingly empty and very stable. Even inside the somewhat damp and stuffy interior, Green could not sense any movement from the outside of the behemoth.

This reminded Green of the Great Bloodfall Lava Dragon from the Shadow Mystery world.

Of course, this creature was clearly no match for the Great Bloodfall Lava Dragon. Compared to the Great Bloodfall Lava Dragon, which was at least a level one creature, the creature that Green sensed was just a large, monstrous beast.

Perhaps due to its low level of perception, this guy actually dared to devour a terrifying creature that had advanced to the second level and enter its body.

This is tantamount to courting death.

Green was still very weak. After thinking for a while, he decided to settle down inside the empty monster's body and recover before breaking out to find the node of this world.

Holding the ram-horned skull magic staff, Grimm leaned against the monster's body and actually closed his eyes slightly, engaging in a shallow meditation.

A little while later.

Green suddenly opened his eyes and saw that a spherical creature about two meters long had also been swallowed by the monster.

This spherical creature was covered in a layer of yellow sand, seemingly for camouflage, and also a protective layer that could not be ignored by lower-level creatures.

In despair, the alien creature repeatedly rammed against the belly of the giant beast that had swallowed it whole, producing dull echoes of "thump, thump, thump, thump," but to no avail.

If any creature could escape from the belly of this behemoth, then it must be a creature that failed to evolve and should have gone extinct long ago.

This desperate creature seemed to know that there was no hope in this situation. After letting out two low, defiant howls at Green, it stopped moving and looked resigned to its fate.

Green closed his eyes.

It was just a low-level creature with a little bit of instinct and intelligence, so Green ignored it and had no interest in wasting time collecting specimens.

A few moments later, a group of mischievous squirrel-like creatures scurried in, screeching.

The little guys screamed and tried to climb out of the entrance again, but it was impossible. After struggling for a while, they gave up and chirped softly around a big, tan squirrel.

And so, one creature after another was swallowed into the giant beast's belly. These desperate creatures, like Grimm, were clearly not there willingly, and the giant hand was not kindly inviting them to its belly.

In other words, this animal's digestive method of eating raw food must be extremely unique and different from others.

To the other creatures that had been swallowed, Green was an extremely strange and unknown being, and no creature wanted to approach him.

As he progressed from shallow to deep meditation, time slipped by unnoticed, and Green's physical condition continued to recover.

Suddenly, Green was awakened by a malicious gust of wind.

Opening his eyes, Green found himself surrounded by all sorts of small creatures. A dark, three-tailed giant scorpion with fierce eyes was crawling over, its gaze cold and savage. Its two giant pincers were imposing, devouring the head of a small squirrel.

Bang!

Suddenly, Grimm's Ram Horned Skull Magic Staff moved so fast it became a blur, smashing the head of the three-tailed giant crab that had disturbed Grimm's meditation. Beneath the Mask of Truth, his eyes were cold and tinged with anger.

The sudden change stunned all the small creatures.

After a brief silence, the small creatures scattered like startled birds, trembling with fear, no longer daring to stay near the terrifying creature, Green, for even a moment longer.

As his anger subsided, Green was about to resume his meditation when he suddenly felt a pang of hunger.

An unknown amount of time had passed in the Azure Rock Mountain, because the perception of time there must have been some kind of asymmetry and distortion with the outside world. However, after discovering that he could perform witchcraft by borrowing the light of awakening, and having some food stored in the dimensional gap, Green abandoned the way of surviving by devouring the corpses of other creatures on the Azure Rock Mountain.

After all, in that kind of environment, unless Green drinks external resources that are ostensibly the Spring of Azure Rocks but are actually the blood of filthy eyes, he must eat frequently to maintain his own energy cycle with the endless world.

At this point, the food in the Green Dimensional Interval was exhausted, which was one of the reasons why Green was unwilling to continue collecting the Blood of the Filthy Eye in the Azure Rock Giant Mountain.

Standing up, Green walked towards the dark black three-tailed giant crab.

The three-tailed giant scorpion's head had already been smashed by Grimm's magic wand. After thinking for a moment, Grimm actually tore off one of the giant scorpion's pincers, intending to eat it.

Looking at the white flesh inside the scorpion pincers in Green's hand, the meat looked quite good.

Green frowned, because a purple parasite, resembling an earthworm, was crawling inside the flesh.

During their apprenticeship, wizards have already transcended the cognitive and psychological barriers of ordinary humans regarding these parasites, losing their subjective feelings of fear or disgust.

Green frowned because what was originally one dish now required more time to make into two.

On the one hand, Green didn't want to waste too much time, but on the other hand, he wanted to separate scorpion meat from parasites into two dishes. Wizards are truly strange creatures that are hard to understand.

Flames appeared in Green's hands, the temperature was very low, and they slowly heated the scorpion pincers.

Gradually, one purple parasite after another crawled out of the scorpion meat. Green collected them and planned to make a soup out of them.

Of course, Green's favorite pepper and other spices are added to the broth.

call……

After finishing his delicious meal, Green put his utensils back into the dimensional rift, glanced at the group of trembling alien creatures staring at him, then ignored them and closed his eyes again to meditate and recover.

On one hand, Green wanted to recover his condition as soon as possible; on the other hand, he was more interested in the digestive system of the giant beast that swallowed him than in collecting the specimens here!

This behemoth clearly had no intention of stopping the various creatures inside it from killing each other.

Since it's already inside its stomach, the total amount of food remains the same. Perhaps for it, the creatures inside attacking, killing, and devouring each other are more conducive to digestion.

time flies.

When Green woke up again, he was awakened by the screams of all the creatures inside the giant beast. When he opened his eyes, he saw that it was crawling with one golden beetle after another, the size of a fingernail, and began to attack, bite and devour these creatures.

There were tens of thousands of golden beetles; it was a truly terrifying and despairing sight!

To Green's surprise, these beetles, which had no special abilities and were not particularly strong individually compared to the creatures swallowed by the giant beast, seemed to have given up resisting. They lay limply on the ground, letting the golden beetles devour them, leaving them covered in blood.

"What's going on? Could it be...? Hmm!?"

Green seemed to sense something, his eyes wide with surprise.

The horseflies inside my body were attacked in a strange way, as if it were some kind of insect language attack, or as if it were some kind of deep-seated malicious curse!

No wonder Green was surprised; he had never heard of such an attack method before.

The horsefly within Grimm's body underwent more than two hundred years of selection and cultivation during his early days as a formal wizard, and after undergoing a bizarre evolution under the Thunder Mirror in the Shadow Mystery world, it acquired the ability of a mutated force field. Now, after being carefully cultivated by Grimm generation after generation for hundreds of years, it is many times stronger than the horsefly in the natural world.

However, at this moment, the horsefly inside Green's body seemed to be under some kind of attack and was powerless to resist, extremely weak.

As Green watched the creatures being devoured by the golden beetles, a sudden thought struck him, and a certain possibility came to mind.

Could it be that……

After driving away the golden beetles by a blazing, inextinguishable flame emanating from his body, Green approached a small creature being devoured by the beetles and began to observe it closely.

Beneath the mask of truth, his eyes gleamed, and Green indeed discovered the clumsy, bluish-green worm inside the little creature.

Green then moved on to the other creatures.

Within other organisms, various strange insects were also appearing, being devoured by the golden beetle, powerless to resist, and appearing extremely weak.

It seems that this golden beetle is the nemesis of all insects.

"Is this a world controlled by parasites!?"

Green guessed with surprise.

This also explains why these creatures were powerless to struggle and were devoured by the golden beetles. They were controlled by the parasites inside their bodies, while the parasites were attacked by the golden beetles and were powerless to resist.

Green, however, is completely different.

Although Grimm's horseflies were also attacked by an unknown force and were unable to resist, Grimm himself was not greatly affected. He only temporarily lost his ability to use the alien force field magic.

These are some of the essential differences between the different organisms that evolved under the rules of two different worlds.
