Wizard's Journey

Chapter 616 City Lockdown

In a large hall at the top of the Nine-Headed Wrath Wizard Tower, a small group of elite wizard apprentices, waiting for their chance, had been kept under wraps by the academy's dean for three whole years.

Since Nigra was assigned by Green to wait here for a mission and joined the ranks of these elite wizard apprentices, he has felt immense pressure every day. These are the true elite wizard apprentices trained by Nine-Headed Wrath Academy, and they are Nine-Headed Wrath Academy's trump card in its attempt to make a comeback.

Rumble, rumble, rumble...

Although the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy had ended its all-out attack on the Wizard Tower's magical source six days ago, there were still a large number of Shadow Thousand Eyes wizards scattered around the Nine-Headed Wrath Academy outside the Wizard Tower, fighting against the Nine-Headed Wrath wizards. The wizards of the Nine-Headed Wrath Academy had not completely regained control of the academy.

This is the most effective way to stop the large-scale exodus of wizarding apprentices from the Nine-Headed Wrath Academy.

During the Academy Wars, no wizard is allowed to use force in human cities; otherwise, it would be a violation of the rules of the Wizarding World's Guardians, and only wizard apprentices and knights can compete for control of the city.

Squeak!

Suddenly, as the doors to the hall opened, dozens of wizards poured in, forming more than ten groups and standing in a row.

The more than two hundred wizard apprentices, who were originally doing their own things in various ways, all stood up, held their breath, and stared intently at the scene.

Nigra's first instinct was to search among these wizards of all shapes and sizes for Mentor Green, who wore a gray-white spiral-patterned mask, held a ram's horn and skull magic wand, had a beautiful myna bird with red and green feathers perched on his shoulder, and whose body was twisted and illusory under the mysterious wizard's robe.

found it!

However, at this moment, Mentor Green was standing behind a witch, and did not have a list of recruiting wizard apprentices in his hand, so he did not seem to be the wizard in charge of this mission.

Who is this witch?

Could she be a witch even more powerful than Mentor Grimm?

"Nigra".

"arrive!"

As the mysterious witch standing in front of Mentor Green called out her name, Nigra quickly stepped forward and stood behind the witch along with the other eleven wizard apprentices whose names had been called.

In addition to the twelve wizard apprentices and mentor Grimm, the witch also had two first-level wizards.

One of them had a white beard and long eyebrows, and appeared silent; he didn't stand out much.

The other person had the face of a little boy, with a hideous scar at the corner of his eye. It was unclear what caused this appearance. A lively little lizard was perched on his shoulder, constantly flicking its forked tongue.

After the more than two hundred wizard apprentices in the hall were divided into teams, they left the hall with the wizard leaders and landed on red flying carpets, then flew at high speed to their respective destinations.

On the red flying carpet where Green was.

"Madam, there are two guys hanging behind us. I'll go take care of them."

Green whispered to the witch in front of him. This witch was none other than Alice, the gourmet witch and wife of his mentor, Peranos.

Over the years, Alice has advanced to the level of a second-level wizard, but because she has always been overshadowed by Peranos, few people have noticed this.

"Green, be careful."

Alice nodded. Although the Gourmet Wizard has its own unique abilities, it is not good at fighting and can even be used as a support wizard.

"Don't worry, Madam."

After speaking in a low voice, Green slowly disappeared from the sight of the group of wizard apprentices.

The silent first-level wizard's eyes twitched incessantly as he tried to find Grimm's whereabouts but had no clue whatsoever.

The first-level wizard with a lizard perched on his shoulder seemed to have some unusual way of sensing things. Even though he knew that Green had just disappeared from his sight, he could vaguely sense the general direction Green had left in.

The atmosphere was somewhat oppressive, and everyone felt uneasy. No one spoke as the flying carpet silently moved towards Ling Weicheng.

A short while later, a ripple appeared on the flying carpet, and Green reappeared with Hachi on his shoulder, looking into the distance as if nothing had happened, just as if he had always been there.

They come without a trace and go without a sound, moving like ghosts.

Alice did not ask Grimm about the result, and the group gradually flew out of the Nine-Headed Wrath Academy's territory and disappeared into the horizon.

…………

Naturally, above Lingwei City, Alice, Green and their group encountered wizards from the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy who had also come to recruit wizard apprentices.

However, unlike the Nine-Headed Wrath Academy, which only focuses its efforts on conquering a few cities, the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy has far too many cities to take care of, and its forces are extremely dispersed. Therefore, there is only one Level 1 Wizard here.

"run!"

With a loud shout, the wizard from the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy flew away into the distance without looking back.

Without giving the opponent any chance, Alice, Green, and two other first-level wizards rushed forward and killed the first-level wizard instantly.

With a thud, the body fell onto the grassland.

Behind the wizard were seven wizard apprentices. Only three of them were relatively clever. In their fear, they gritted their teeth and fell into the city of Lingwei. The other four tried to escape into the distance, but were easily killed by Green and his men.

"Clean up all the Shadow Thousand-Eyed Wizard apprentices in this city, and recruit wizard apprentices in this small town. As long as they are willing to spend a gold coin, have a mental strength of eight or above, and have normal intellectual development, recruit them all."

Although Alice was nominally the leader of the squad, it was actually Green who was giving orders to the twelve wizard apprentices.

In order to recruit a large number of new wizarding apprentices, the Nine-Headed Wrath Wizarding Academy had to significantly reduce the quality of its recruits, which would result in the academy spending the same resources to train only a smaller number of wizards.

Of course, this is much better than having resources but being unable to spend them and being trapped to death.

"yes!"

After a brief and hurried response from Nigra and the other eleven wizard apprentices, they descended from the sky towards Lingwei City. The specific development of this mission would then be left to these wizard apprentices.

All Green and the others needed to do was... wait.

Any wizard apprentices from the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy in the city who dare to escape, kill them!

If any of the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy wizard apprentices outside dare to go in to reinforce, kill them!

The Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy's official wizards have arrived here, attempting to regain control of the city, break the blockade of Lingwei City by Green and others, and kill!

Thus, Green naturally summoned the Black Devouring Flame Soul Giant, a fifteen-meter-tall creature with intertwined black and gold flames. A layer of dark source swirled around the Flame Soul Giantsword, making it majestic and imposing, completely overwhelming the elemental activated creatures summoned by the two first-level wizards beside him.

The elemental creatures summoned by the two level-one wizards appeared as weak and vulnerable as if they could be crushed at any moment by the Black Devouring Flame Soul Giant.

On the other side, Alice chanted a witchcraft incantation, and as a black spatial rift opened, one after another, lush green bamboo life emerged from it. This was actually a summoning witchcraft based on contracts between different realms.

"Alice, Alice!"

This world is clearly one of many that have joined the Wizarding Alliance.
