Wizard's Journey

Chapter 638 Intending to Leave

The deans of the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy stood on their respective elemental activated biological gods, panting and looking somewhat disheveled.

Clearly, these elemental-activated creatures were no match for the fire giant, which had grown to a staggering 55 meters tall. Even with their close cooperation under the guidance of a level three archmage, some injuries still occurred, and one of the deans even fled the battlefield without looking back after being seriously wounded.

Further away, arcane wizards from all directions circled and flew around, casting spells that seemed to tickle the fire giant, causing ripples of flame on the lava armor.

Although the fire giant suffered some damage and even dissipated, it is now 55 meters tall, compared to its former 40-meter height. After consuming a large amount of abomination power, the fire giant's elemental form is actually stronger.

"Elemental Binding!"

On the altar of the disc-shaped flying machine, the great wizard, who had been chanting and reciting for a while, grew increasingly louder. The phantom behind him, more than ten meters tall, seemed to be roaring hysterically, its face contorted in a ferocious expression.

Suddenly, solid chains made of elemental power gradually formed around the fire giant. As they rubbed against each other and overlapped, the space between these chains became smaller and smaller, seemingly about to completely bind the fire giant.

Naturally, the fire giant swung his sword, and with a "bang," an elemental chain snapped.

After several consecutive sword strikes, even the binding magic cast by the great wizard with the help of the mysterious altar could not cause much trouble for Grimm's elemental form at this moment. Only the last three chains were left to temporarily bind the fire giant.

Beneath the disc-shaped aircraft, the cannon muzzle where Grimm had previously hidden had now reached its limit after Grimm was briefly restrained. With a "boom," an energy shockwave blasted out, which was quite astonishing for a wizard of the Wizarding World.

Within the briefly bound fire giant, Grimm smiled coldly beneath the Mask of Truth.

"First level of Wild Instinct Transformation!"

Suddenly, as Grimm's dark scales spread, his normal human body gradually lengthened to two meters, revealing a vigorous and wild aura. Instantly, the Black Flame Soul Giant, the true form of the element, also underwent some changes.

The flames, a blend of black and gold, seemed to have solidified further, the massive burning body appeared to have shrunk, and even the tattered lava armor began to be repaired.

Thus, the giant of raging flames, its eyes stretched out like a snail's, stared fearlessly as the energy shockwave struck its chest, roaring in a low voice.

As if having already determined that there was no need to dodge this attack, and that it could not cause fatal damage to him, he struggled with all his might to break free from the constraints of his elemental locks.

boom!

The disc-shaped flying machine slammed into the fire giant's chest with a single shot, without much impact. The fire giant staggered back two steps as if it hadn't felt anything, still struggling to break free of the elemental chains, completely unconcerned about the churning, leaping flames on its chest.

"Hiss... As expected of the true form of the elements, it's incredibly powerful!"

The wizard's eyes twitched on the altar.

This fire giant is truly astonishingly powerful, probably reaching the limit of a level three creature. Only the most powerful level three demon hunters deep within the holy towers of the wizarding world can deal with it.

Even so, the wizard on the altar did not give up, and once again raised the power of the altar beneath his feet, preparing for the next attack.

The fire giant's eyes seemed to reveal a mocking look, as it scoffed at the opponent's meaningless attack, and the elemental locks had been stretched to their limit.

Roar!

With a deafening roar, the elemental locks shattered with a "bang," and the fire giant finally broke free. It then ignored the nimble escape of the level three archmages around it and instead stared cruelly at the disc-shaped altar flying machine.

As the Flame Soul Greatsword was being swung, the Flame Giant seemed to be doing something when suddenly, the expression beneath the Mask of Truth in the Elemental True Body of Grimm changed slightly. At the same time, as if it had been prepared all along, the massive fiery body leaped backward with incredible agility.

boom!

A purplish-red beam of light descended from the sky, landing precisely where the fire giant had just stood.

Surprisingly, the plaza bricks on the ground seemed to have a good absorption effect on this purplish-red beam of light, forming an excellent energy cycle, and the purplish-red beam of light did not cause any substantial damage to the plaza at all.

The fire giant raised its head and looked at the hundred-meter-tall giant eye at the top of the wizard tower.

Is this the final guardian of the Wizard Tower?

At the time, Green didn't think much of the nine-headed serpent phantom from the Nine-Headed Wrath Wizard Academy because it was their own power. But when the opposing forces unleashed this final defense of the wizard tower, Green finally realized how terrifying it was.

Indeed, unless there is an absolute advantage in the battle, relying on a large number of wizards to gradually deplete and destroy the magic power of the wizard tower, otherwise, in terms of a strong attack, this phantom of the source of magic power is already a Saint Mark Wizard that cannot move and has a single attack method!

Having realized that he had no more chances and that his objective had been achieved, successfully completing part of the Hermit Plan, it was time to leave. He only needed to maintain a certain level of deterrence until the end of this Academy War.

As for the harvest?

Besides the Nine-Headed Wrath Wizard Academy paying a considerable reward, once the war between the academies ends, the Shadow Thousand-Eyed Wizard Academy will surely pay Grimm whatever reward he desires in exchange for the Thousand-Eyed Lamp that redeems the spacetime seal of Grimm's Book of Truth!

This includes what Green was most looking forward to at that moment... the Threads of Time.

When you actively use the Threads of Time to guide cell evolution, you will significantly shorten the advancement time of a Level 2 Wizard, allowing your body's cells to more intuitively perceive the real passage of time.

boom!

From the center of the hundred-meter-tall giant eye's pupil, another purplish-red beam of light descended. The fire giant could only concentrate all its attention on fleeing backward, completely helpless against this phantom of the source of magic, and had no ability to retaliate.

Surprisingly, none of the wizards possessing the magical aura of the Shadow Thousand Eyes Academy were affected by the attack of the purplish-red beam of light; it was merely a purifying ray that repelled foreign objects.

That being the case...

The fire giant withstood the interception and defense of the many wizards behind it and charged towards the outside of the third-circle magic defense barrier with all its might. The many arcane wizards and academy guardians who had once given Grimm a lot of trouble could no longer harm Grimm inside the fire giant, even if they caused some damage to the fire giant's true form.

With a "pop," the fire giant burst through the three-ring magic barrier that had been covering the Shadow Thousand-Eyed Wizard Tower like a bubble, and its connection with Xiao Ba in space and time was now completely unobstructed.
