Wizard's Journey

Chapter 714 The Black Witch's Trail (Part 2)

After the several level-two demon hunters left, Green turned around and looked at the distant sky.

"Come out, how long are you going to keep spying on us?"

As Green snorted, a level three archmage gradually materialized in the distance.

This is a witch who retains some of the beauty she had in her youth. She holds a wind-attribute magic staff, and a giant camouflage bird sits beneath her. Her eyes are slightly narrowed.

"First-class honor medal. There's no record of you, Master, within the Second Ring Holy Tower. It seems you've come from another Holy Tower. Is there anything I can help you with? My Demon Hunting record involves hunting down a dark wizard who appeared on the Wizarding Continent. These second-level Demon Hunting wizards are currently undergoing their assessments. Would you be interested in joining me to observe?"

Every demon hunter's performance assessment is conducted by a high-ranking wizard as the examiner. This witch is the examiner for these demon hunter wizards' assessment.

While perfecting the self-sealing technique of "Raffi's Wonderful Memories," upon hearing the words "Black Wizard," Green felt an indescribable hatred in his heart, and his eyes beneath the mask of truth were filled with an extremely cold gaze.

The witch felt a slight stiffness in her body as she vaguely sensed Green's oppressive aura.

"Dark Wizard, I happen to be passing by the Wheel of Time Wizarding Academy, let's check it out together."

Then, the mysteries of the myriad birds and the thousand-eyed giant crab entered Xiao Ba's spatial toe ring artifact. The colorful neon mist of Grimm's appearance robe gradually became invisible, and he and the witch followed several second-level demon hunter wizards, flying towards the Wheel of Time Wizarding Academy.

"I am Seraphim, the Light of Shadow. I have been a member of the Second Ring Holy Tower for 2,600 years. I am responsible for the duties of inspecting and supervising the demon hunters in this year's demon hunter competition. I would appreciate your comments on these demon hunter wizards."

Cyonlia made a point of introducing her background, clearly hoping to find out where Green came from.

"The Seventh Ring Holy Tower, the Shadow of Despair, Grin."

After the brief introduction, upon hearing that Green was actually a demon-hunting wizard who had crossed over from the Seventh Ring Holy Tower, Cyonlia was surprised, but also nodded slightly as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

As expected, he was a demon-hunting wizard who had come from another realm. It was just unexpected that he had come from such a remote place.

Judging from the title of "Shadow of Despair" for a demon hunter, this demon hunter must have been a despairing figure during his time as a second-level wizard, a figure that made the wizards vying for the same generation's Remnant Holy Tower rankings feel unable to challenge him. With the first-level honor medal confirming this, he is a true top-tier third-level wizard in the wizarding world!

……

The area of Tianya Sea is many times larger than that of Baoshi Sea.

Compared to the End of the World Sea, the Gem Sea is merely an inland sea between the Wizarding Continent and the surrounding scattered islands; the End of the World Sea is the truly endless ocean.

The Eternal Sky City, one of the civilizations of the Wizarding World, floats on this vast and endless sea, like another Wizarding continent floating in the sky, never to fall.

On a peninsula extending from the Wizarding Continent to the End of the World, there is a place called the End of the World. As a region controlled by the Time Wheel Wizarding Academy, an academy in the outer area of the Second Ring Holy Tower, a large number of ordinary humans live and thrive here.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Several elite demon hunter wizards flew at incredible speed, quickly cutting through the sky before heading towards the Time Wheel Wizard Academy region, where the Black Wizarding Calamity had erupted, upholding the justice of the Holy Tower's rules on the Wizarding Continent.

There are a total of seven Level 2 Demon Hunter Wizards, all of whom possess honor medals.

Generally speaking, only after a witcher is promoted to a second-level wizard does he have the opportunity to receive a medal of honor and then be invited by various wizarding organizations. Only a minority of first-level formal wizards receive medals of honor.

It took about half a month.

They explored several remote towns where the Black Wizard's Calamity had occurred. Some of the corpses that had been tortured to death by black magic remained in the cities, their horrific state beyond description, devoid of any morality or emotion. Most of the humans had vanished without a trace, presumably taken away by the black wizards as experimental subjects.

These evil and cruel dark wizards use humans as their experimental subjects and are trapped in a vicious cycle under the oppression of witch hunters. In order to avoid their own demise, dark wizards constantly strengthen themselves. In order to strengthen themselves, dark wizards constantly hunt ordinary humans, which in turn arouses even more hatred from witch hunters.

This is a malignant tumor in the wizarding world, creating a vicious cycle!

Using their own methods, these trial demon hunters found some traces of dark wizards and then communicated with the arcane wizards of the Wheel of Time Academy to begin the next step of their pursuit and hunt.

In secret, Green and Cyonlia were commenting on the several demon hunter wizards. If Cyonlia were to show herself, it would mean that the assessment had failed completely.

Seventeen days later, in a nearshore area of Tianya Hai.

A large flock of seagulls gathered around the image of a witch, her white robes spotless, gazing at the many humans on the back of a giant whale on the sea, her joy tinged with anger.

The joy stemmed from finally finding the black wizard's trail after so many days, while the anger arose from the fact that the humans on the whale's back included not only strong young people, but also a large number of elderly people and children, and even several women holding crying babies in their arms.

In the eyes of dark wizards, all humans are experimental materials used to collect human despair, so why would they distinguish between children and the elderly?

Like a wizard's apprentice, conducting experiments on frogs, would he pity the tadpoles?

Of course, generally speaking, the black wizards who risk their lives to "poach" in the Wizarding Continent are usually lesser black wizards who are not doing very well in the Black Domain. Otherwise, if top black wizards could obtain materials for reconstructing experiments in the Black Domain, why would they risk being hunted by many elite demon hunter wizards and travel across the ocean to the Wizarding Continent to steal ordinary humans as experimental materials?

The black wizards who come to the Wizarding Continent to poach are generally only level one black wizards. Level two and level three black wizards are rarely seen. The appearance of a level two black wizard this time is truly rare.

"The White Wizard! It's the White Wizard! We're saved! We..."

On the back of the giant whale, the ordinary people, who were unaware of what was happening, seemed to see a glimmer of hope and excitedly screamed and pointed at the witch.

As a region frequently attacked by dark wizards, the Wheel of Time Wizarding Academy is rife with rumors of dark wizards and white wizards circulating among ordinary humans.

The general idea is that black wizards are evil wizards, while white wizards are good wizards.

"Hehehehehe, finally found this place? That was so slow."

A hunched black wizard emerged from the crowd. His once tall frame was now less than 1.5 meters tall, with a few stray gray-white hairs falling from his head. He had one large eye and one small eye, and his mouth was wide open, emitting a hoarse laugh. Leaning on a black bone magic staff, he walked step by step to the very center of the giant whale's back.

Ordinary people around him kept their distance from the terrifying black wizard in fear, as if this seemingly frail old man represented death.

"However, if it's just you, you're just sending me another batch of experimental materials."

The witch, surrounded by a large flock of white seagulls, sneered, "Arrogant black wizard, since you dare to violate the rules of the Holy Tower and come to the Wizarding Continent, then stay here forever."

As she spoke, a dazzling light emanated from the witch's body, like a ball of milky white flame gathering at the tip of her magic wand, which shot towards the hunched-over dark wizard.

The witch took out a mirror with her other hand, from which a clear spring flowed continuously.

"Roar, sea giant!"

Boom!

In the sea, a water elemental giant, over ten meters tall and wielding an ice fork, roared up from the sea surface.
