Wizard's Journey

Chapter 721 Eternal Sky City

Nine months later.

After flying over the vast Tianya Hai Sea for more than half a year, giant flying machines, mechanical wizards, and slave monsters began to appear frequently on the sea surface. Grimm finally arrived at the sea area near the Eternal Sky City.

When wizards in the Wizarding World mention the Eternal Sky City, the first thing that comes to mind is the center of the wizard's will!

If the Second Ring Holy Tower, which uses Wizard Coins as offerings to the True Spirit, is the economic center of the entire Wizarding Alliance, and the First Ring Holy Tower is the undisputed center of civilization in the Wizarding World, then the Eternal Sky City, which merges all the ancient Sky Cities and is governed by the Mechanical True Spirit Wizard, one of the two oldest wizards in the Wizarding World, is the embodiment of the wizarding will and spirit.

Here, the history of ancient humans transforming from a primitive, hunter-gatherer society to a civilized shaman society, and their indomitable struggle against the sea creatures for a wider living space and a higher status, is passed down.

Here, the glorious history of ancient wizards who sacrificed themselves and shattered a medium-sized world in order to win the war against the alien nightmare civilization remains, completely reversing the course of wizarding civilization.

Here, the glorious ancient wizarding world is written, enslaving countless worlds large and small, brutally driving billions of slaves to fulfill the wizards' will, forging one ancient sky city after another to conquer the endless void, a dark history feared by other worlds as the world's slave owners.

Here, the war between the ancient and prosperous wizard civilization and the terrifying abyss civilization is recorded. In order to preserve the last legacy of the wizard civilization, countless ancient wizards went one after another, disregarding their own lives, to guard the last hope of the wizard continent. One ancient sky city after another fell. In the end, the powerful foundation collected by the wizard world suppressed one end of the lever of fate, prying the wizard world to escape and preserve the last light of hope of the wizard world. It is a moving and heroic history.

now……

After the ancient war, all the remaining sky cities, under the guidance of the sole mechanical spirit wizard, merged with the wizarding world into one eternal sky city.

Eternity is a beautiful wish that the wizarding world will never be destroyed, and it serves as a part of the wizarding world's civilization, on par with the Lever of Fate and the Book of Fate!

There is a mechanical clock here.

The mechanical clock uses the heart of the ancestor of mankind as the unit of timekeeping for humankind. Unlike the hourglass system used by wizards, it adopts the hour system, dividing a natural day into twenty-four hours, which is more in line with the biological clock code of ordinary humans.

The so-called hourglass timekeeping refers to the time a Level 8 True Spirit Wizard can stay in the wizarding world after advancing to the legendary Level 9 True Spirit Wizard. This is the wizard's way of keeping time, hence the calculation that one hourglass equals two hours.

Here lies the eternal heart.

For mechanical wizards, all mechanical objects, large and small, inevitably share a common characteristic: they must all have a mechanical heart as a source of energy. The source of energy for the eternal heart of this eternal sky city is the will and rules of the wizarding world!

The Water Curtain Sky Rules are unique to the Wizarding World.

On one side, the sea creature altar continuously supplies endless seawater to the sky, while on the other side, the water curtain vortex falls from the edge of the sea, achieving a balance of rules. The will of the wizarding world rules descending from the water curtain vortex is one of the energy sources of the Eternal Sky City.

In addition, the Eternal Heart draws energy from the Wizarding World's rules of storms, ley lines, time and space, seasons, and day and night, making the Eternal Sky City a part of the Wizarding World's rules.

There are more than twenty space fortress factories here, and countless space airship and mechanical puppet factories!

Countless mechanical wizards work here, and the creation of each space fortress is the result of the combined efforts of hundreds of thousands of mechanical wizards.

There are also quite a few elite elemental wizards who have migrated from the Wizarding Continent, enjoying the most stable, peaceful, and fulfilling wizarding life here.

One spatial fortress after another departs from here to various holy towers in the wizarding world, and then becomes the blood-red, ominous moon hanging high in the sky of the alien world, spreading the will of the wizards.

Eternal Sky City is a wizarding world miracle created by generations of wizards through their wisdom and hard work. It is a wizarding continent floating in the sky on the horizon!

……

"hiss……"

On the Thousand-Eyed Crab, Green gazed into the distance, only to see an endless shadow on the horizon. A metallic continent floating in the sky blocked out the light, boundless and without end, stretching to infinity.

It wasn't as busy as I'd imagined, because Eternal Sky City was so vast, covering almost half the area of the Wizarding Continent. Countless mechanical wizards were scattered across this vast region, so it didn't seem so busy.

"It is so magnificent and vast."

Even though he had read many descriptions of the Eternal Sky City in the literature, when Green personally came to the Eternal Sky City and witnessed its magnificence, he still couldn't help but sigh in amazement.

Compared to this eternal sky city, the space fortress is like an ant standing under the Tree of Life.

"Gah! They actually managed to piece together all the Sky Cities into one?"

Standing atop the Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird, Xiao Ba murmured in surprise, "I remember there were over thirty Sky Cities in the ancient wizarding world. Even if some fell during the ancient war, there should still be at least twenty. These old folks really know how to play games."

The mechanical clock of the Eternal Sky City is directly opposite Green and Little Eight. It is over a thousand meters high and has twenty-four quarter-hours. It is made up of six huge hands, which represent the era, year, day, hour, minute and second respectively. One rotation of the hour hand is one day in the wizarding world.

After a long sigh, Green and Little Eight became one of the countless wizards who came to admire them, and flew towards the Sky City.

The magnificent and vast Sky City, which seemed so close at hand, actually took Green almost a whole day to fly to finally reach the foot of the mechanical clock in Sky City.

Countless second-level wizards and third-level archmages stood quietly around the Mechanical Clock, gazing up at it, or sitting down to meditate, or simply floating in mid-air curled up like babies, feeling the "tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock" of the mechanical clock's gears turning.

According to ancient texts, the Mechanical Clock is powered by the heart of the progenitor of mankind. Under the Mechanical Clock, wizards can more easily perceive the difference between half-step time and real time, which helps the wizard's life evolution. Whether this is true or not, a large number of second-level and third-level wizards are always drawn to it.

At this point, Green also became one of them.

With the blood of the ancestor flowing through his veins, Grimm sat upright in mid-air before the mechanical clock, feeling an unparalleled tranquility all around him, and gradually closed his eyes.
