Wizard's Journey

Chapter 723 The Face of Truth, Phase Six

It took Grimm two years to fly from the edge of Sky City to the center of Sky City, the Sky Mechanical Tower!

Green's understanding of mechanical knowledge was basically at the superficial stage of a wizard apprentice, with very little exposure to it. Therefore, it was practically impossible for him to gain wizarding knowledge in Sky City.

Green traveled across the Wizarding Continent without regard for distance to arrive here for one purpose only: to obtain the Microscopic Eye from the sixth phase of the Project of the Face of Truth.

This area falls under the category of mechanical wizard knowledge, and Grimm had no way to learn it from scratch on his own. He could only come to the Sky Mechanical Tower and commission a professional mechanical wizard to create a microscopic eye that met Grimm's standards.

Of course, with so much witch essence available now, Green's Shadow Starfall will also undergo some modifications and upgrades here. Green has already firmly grasped the basic spacetime knowledge for traveling through the endless void.

The microscopes circulating in the Wizarding Continent are generally optical microscopes.

The magnification of an optical microscope has a limit because light exists in the infinite world with wavelengths.

The so-called wavelength of light is because light itself appears intermittent and spaced out to the human eye. Therefore, optical microscopes have a magnification limit, which, to Green's knowledge, is 1,750 times.

So, what factors affect the wavelength of light waves emitted by a microscope?

The wavelength of light is affected by three factors, the least affected of which are gravitational magnetic field and refraction loss.

Generally speaking, when wizards use microscopes to observe the microscopic world, they are observing it at close range. At such close range, the light is naturally not affected by much gravitational magnetic field or refraction loss, so it can be almost ignored. On the contrary, the rainbow light traveling through the endless void is completely different.

Secondly, the perception of time is significantly affected.

One second is divided into eighteen parts. Of these eighteen parts, ordinary humans can only perceive one part. The remaining seventeen parts are merely the result of ordinary humans' imaginations filling in the gaps, thus forming a continuous picture.

However, once one enters the microscopic world, the closer one gets to the wavelength limit of the power of time, the more one will discover the "dark parts" within it. These are the regions of time that ordinary organisms cannot perceive, which in turn form gaps between wavelengths of light elements.

It is assumed that ordinary organisms, limited by their perception of light and time, cannot perceive the 17.8% of light waves in the dark region, which is the largest blind spot.

Big mistake!

The light of a rainbow consists of seven parts in sequence: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Among them, the red spectrum is the longest, which is the visible spectrum of the human eye.

In reality, beyond the red and within the violet light of a rainbow, there exists an even larger, invisible spectrum that is invisible to the average human, and this invisible spectrum accounts for 99% of the total spectrum!

The highest achievement in the field of microscopy within the Sky Mechanical Tower is the Biomechanical Microscope. While it cannot compensate for light waves beyond the perception of time by low-level wizards, it can achieve spectral compensation, presenting the 99% of the invisible spectrum in the form of visible light.

The specialized knowledge involved is something that a killing dark wizard like Green could never possibly grasp, and it's enough to make any wizard devote their entire life to studying it.

Think about it...

After being reduced through so many layers and magnified 1,750 times by an optical microscope, the light waves perceived by ordinary humans are still less than 1,800ths of the actual light wave world.

Even such an optical microscope can only be purchased by formal wizards who travel to the various elemental towers; that is, the one in Peranos.

Ordinary people, including first- and second-level wizards who have no sense of time, have no fundamental difference in their perception of light waves. Each person's naked eye can only perceive one three-million-fifty-thousandth of the light element presented by the real light wave.

This is the relationship between truth and appearance.

Having penetrated such a profound world of truth, when you look at those ordinary lives that live on the surface of perception, don't you feel a sense of sorrow?

It's no wonder that the more powerful a wizard becomes in his pursuit of the truth and its mysteries, the more cautious and fearful he becomes of those truths.

……

"Damn, these old guys are pretty good. They actually built such a huge pyramid using dark silver!"

Xiao Ba stared in disbelief at the enormous pyramid in front of him.

Ink Silver is an extremely high-grade synthetic alchemy material. It is a high-grade material synthesized from more than seventy special materials such as Mithril, Gold Essence, Titanium Wisdom Steel No. 2, and Black Ink. It is the pinnacle of ancient wizards' synthetic materials and has the ability to self-repair, near-zero loss energy superconductivity, and recombine by attaching to spiritual power.

It could even be said that this is a material that never depletes.

This precious metal, which Green had once purchased in search of materials to carry the power of annihilation and which was measured in grams, was now completely covered on the surface of the Sky Mechanical Tower of the Eternal Sky City!

Green stared in disbelief at the pyramid, which was topped with a swirling torrent of water and stood tens of thousands of meters high, with a base measuring tens of thousands of meters in length and width. He was just as incredulous as Xiao Ba.

Here, you'll find a plethora of intricately crafted mechanical objects, biomimetic mechanical objects, massive mechanical objects resembling space fortresses, and highly anthropomorphic mechanical puppets.

Once inside the Sky Mechanical Tower, everything is no different from the other towers.

With the same pristine white plaza, azure skies, numerous laboratories, and Level 3 Grand Wizards everywhere, Green roughly estimated that the number of mechanical wizards in Eternal Sky City was probably more than five times that of the Seventh Ring Holy Tower, and even more than that of the Second Ring Holy Tower!

The next step is to consume a large amount of Grimm's magic essence or other resources to find a mechanical wizard who can create a microscopic eye that satisfies Grimm.

……

One hundred and twenty years later!

Feeling suffocated and unable to breathe, facing this level six Stigmata Wizard who guards the mechanical spirit of the Eternal Heart, Grimm actually felt a sense of oppression similar to that he had faced the Stigmata Wizard of the Black Tower.

Every Holy Mark Wizard under the True Spirit has a painful memory of the destruction of the Wizard Tower's magic source, or the lack of enough humans to support the magic source when the Wizard Tower was built.

At this moment, the Stigmata Wizard faced Grimm, and a metal arm extended out.

The mechanical arm is made of a material with terrifying elasticity, like that of extremely cold ice crystals. On its palm is a microscopic eye that Grimm needs, a microscopic eye of the highest standard in the wizarding world that can be immediately installed and fused with the Face of Truth.

At the same time, there is also a contract of fate!

Green signed the contract of destiny without hesitation and merged the microscopic eye into the face of truth.

"I don't want my prized disciple to follow in my footsteps. Remember, before you advance to the Saintly Mark Wizard level, whenever he is maliciously attacked by other Saintly Mark Wizards who attempt to destroy the Wizard Tower's magic source, you must ensure the absolute safety of the magic source. Otherwise, you will be punished by the Fate Contract and lose this mask!"

The microscopic eye of this sixth phase of the Face of Truth project is connected to the source of the superconducting light wizard tower's magic power, which is the disciple of this sixth-level holy mark wizard under the True Spirit.

On one hand, it is a critical moment for the source of magic power of the Wizard Tower, which can summon Grin to descend at any time through the Wizard Tower. On the other hand, it is a punitive measure: the Surface of Truth will be taken away after the source of magic power is destroyed.

If Grimm manages to exploit some loophole and actually manages to prevent the source of magic from taking away the Face of Truth, he will be punished by fate for violating the contract of destiny.

No one knows what means fate will use to punish.

But everyone knows that those punished by fate will inevitably lose more naturally and as a matter of course, and no one dares to really try to challenge it.

"I will do my utmost to uphold the covenant of fate, Great Fortress Heart Saint Mark Wizard."

Green lowered his head and said in a very respectful and low voice.

According to Green's investigation, the Superconducting Light Wizard Academy has indeed been very turbulent in recent years, but there is no indication of a large-scale academy war yet. It is hoped that this situation can continue and prevent a real academy war from breaking out.
