Wizard's Journey

Chapter 807 Unstoppable (Part 8)

Every dark wizard goes through a difficult journey from a penniless dark wizard apprentice to owning their own complete laboratory for collecting humanity's despair.

Human reproduction requires two sexes, a male and a female, to begin. But where do the initial experimental materials come from?

Firstly, they went to the Wizarding Continent to plunder.

Secondly, complete the Black Witch Tower quest.

Third, exchange other resources for high-level dark wizard laboratories.

Fourth, they searched for and hunted possible wild humans in the desolate wilderness of the Black Domain.

The growth of each dark wizard is accompanied by the improvement of the laboratory scale, the collection of torture instruments for human despair becoming more and more sophisticated, and the human breeding and reproduction production line becoming more and more mature.

Perhaps in the beginning, when black witch apprentices only had a few pairs of male and female test subjects, or even just one female in some rudimentary cases, they had to consider themselves as the breeders of the test subjects, carefully cultivating and caring for them, and carrying out the work of breeding experimental materials.

Toronto, a nine-hundred-year-old dark wizard, gained his freedom from the Dark Wizard Tower two hundred years ago. After painstaking care, the original six humans in the simple laboratory cage have grown to more than three hundred people after several generations of cultivation, and he has begun to collect the despair of humans.

In fact, Toronto's path to growth has not been easy.

Unlike the dark wizards of the past, since the birth of nightmare wizards, these eerie wizards who roam the nightmare world have begun to absorb large amounts of fear power in the illusory dark realm of the nightmare world through the rules of nightmares. As a result, the method used by the dark wizards of the real wizarding world to collect the power of despair by torturing ordinary humans has been completely eliminated.

Therefore, the only way for dark wizards to collect the power of human despair is through killing.

Killing experimental materials—an ordinary human can only collect the power of despair once—is indeed a fatal blow to the dark wizard who once possessed the ability to efficiently reuse experimental materials.

This was the trigger that led to the Black Witch Alliance's massive invasion of the Nightmare World!

The Black Wizard Alliance's goal is not to exterminate Nightmare Wizards, and the Black Wizards also lack the courage to start a full-scale world war.

The purpose of this invasion is to dispel the Nightmare Wizards who absorb the power of fear in the illusory dark domain of the Nightmare World, and to establish a permanent monitoring zone in the illusory dark domain of the Nightmare World to prevent Nightmare Wizards from entering it. This is to restore the purpose of the dark domain to repeatedly absorb the power of despair from experimental materials through torture instruments, so as to achieve the efficient utilization of experimental materials.

Toronto had long heard of the eeriness of the Nightmare Wizard.

But compared to the dark wizards who wield the power of human despair, this brand-new wizarding system, which has only been established for a thousand years, is utterly insignificant!

The outcome of the Black Witch Alliance's battle against Nightmare Judgment was entirely unexpected, so Toronto was initially overjoyed when invited to invade the Nightmare World.

At this moment, the reason why Toronto is still in the Black Zone is because some accidents have occurred to the experimental materials being cultivated in the laboratory.

Overwhelmed with problems, Toronto has long discovered that the offspring of these experimental materials have become extremely weak over the past century. Despite their meticulous care, they still frequently die young. Now, the offspring of these experimental materials are suffering from various congenital malformations, genetic diseases, and defects, making it impossible for them to continue reproducing!

Left with no other choice, Toronto paid a price to consult a higher-level dark wizard and obtained a piece of dark wizard knowledge he had never heard of before.

Genetic diseases resulting from inbreeding!?

Because the ordinary humans in the Toronto laboratory all descended from the same ancestor and have been bred and raised in a closed system in Toronto, after several generations of inbreeding, the genetic defects of the offspring have become so severe that the laboratory breeding system is on the verge of complete collapse.

In order to solve this so-called genetic disease caused by inbreeding, Toronto did not choose to purchase new experimental materials from high-level black magicians at high prices. Instead, after several years of hard work, they found a nest of wild humans in this wilderness!

There were more than thirty of them, both male and female, a considerable fortune, and at the same time, the problem of inbreeding-related genetic diseases in the laboratory could finally be solved.

Toronto resolved to exchange experimental materials with other dark wizards every hundred years to prevent genetic diseases from being transmitted through inbreeding.

Just as Toronto was making his way back to his lab after a fruitful day, the terrifying aura emanating from a ferocious giant bird in the distant sky startled him, and he looked over in horror.

On one hand, there is a sense of longing and envy; on the other hand, there is the fear that the fruits of one's hard-earned hunt will be plundered.

Compared to this majestic and terrifying multi-headed chimera, their own chimeras were nothing more than disgusting mud-like creatures wriggling on the ground; there was simply no comparison between them...

"Your Excellency the Dark Lord, I am the Dark Wizard of the Burning Bones Dark Wizard Tower. These... um!?"

Reacting swiftly, a three-meter-tall, bizarre-looking chimera suddenly pounced in front of Toronto.

This chimera might be an invincible monster to ordinary humans, but to a level three elemental wizard, even a casual strike from Grimm's Fire Spinner spell is nothing more than a thin sheet of paper.

boom!

The fiery shockwave instantly engulfed the chimera, and debris flew everywhere beneath the several-meter-wide fiery shockwave.

The ordinary humans bound by the chains behind the black wizard all let out muffled groans. Most of them were bleeding from their heads and passed out unconscious, while a small number screamed in fear.

But bound by chains, it could not escape and cried out in despair.

Toronto was terrified by the aura of black despair, but a bone shield protected him from the fire shockwave.

At this moment, Toronto looked up, his eyes fixed on the mysterious figure with flowing seven-colored runes on the enormous shadowy beast above him. He unconsciously swallowed hard, his bone staff trembling in his hand.

"You...you're the Archmage of Elements from the Wizarding Continent!?"

From the shadow of the colossal, terrifying beast, a beautifully feathered myna bird took flight, chuckling wickedly, "Gah gah gah, still alive? You know too much. Little Wan, hurry up and eat him and keep going."

"No……"

Toronto panicked, and the four chimeras around him gathered around him, simultaneously chanting a dark magic incantation, and a withered bone spear formed at the tip of his magic wand.

This bone spear doesn't have any particularly special elemental structure, but with the added power of the human despair swirling around it, it can inflict a terrifying attack power of over 800 degrees on other human wizards!

It's important to know that even many elite demon hunters and dark wizards cannot reach an attack power of 800 degrees during their first-level wizarding stage.

However, for the enigmatic 10,000-headed bird, a level-three biological enigma...

Roar! Roar! Roar! Roar...

More than a dozen heads stretched their long necks and pounced down, instantly tearing the four chimeras gathered around Toronto into pieces, which they then swallowed whole.

"Don't come any closer!"

Toronto roared as the spear of withered bones shot out and pierced one of the heads of the Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird.

Roar……

With its long neck outstretched, the Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird, a giant over a meter long with a bone spear stuck in its neck, stopped only half a meter away from Toronto. Its densely packed fangs were exposed, and the sharp teeth were stained with the power of flesh-eroding blood.

Between his teeth, as the Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird roared and panted angrily, its stench sprayed onto Toronto's face.

Two adults and two children, their eyes locked.

Terrified, Toronto's hand holding the bone staff trembled uncontrollably, and he dared not move. This enormous, terrifying chimera was simply beyond his ability to withstand.

"I... Ah!"

The mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird's head, resembling a giant python, snapped at Toronto with incredible speed. Before Toronto could react, its long neck arched towards the sky, and with a 'glug', Toronto was swallowed whole amidst its terrified and desperate cries.

The Mysterious Thousand-Headed Bird didn't even glance at the unconscious, weak, ordinary humans on the ground. With a loud roar, its numerous heads flapped their enormous wings, carrying Green, Labrad, Little Eight, Kredia, and a group of elemental wizards, and continued flying out of the Dark Domain.
