Wizard's Journey

Chapter 897 Forced to Pray

Time flies, and another month has passed.

Situ Mo, Vitality: 117, Yuan Energy: 0.

Upon receiving the test results, Situ Mo frowned. Compared to the 112 points of vitality he had last month, although there had been some progress, it was far too slow. In fact, a large part of the reason for this progress was the Chaos Crystal Core he had hunted.

Ultimately, Situ Mo was merely an F-level evolved human whose physique had been forcibly enhanced by Green, but unlike other C-level evolved humans, his adaptability to the chaotic mist had not been improved.

This is the evil of the devil!

On the one hand, it provides weaker creatures with greater power, amplifying their desire for power; on the other hand, it cuts off the path for weaker creatures to obtain greater power through their own efforts, forcing them to rely on themselves, ultimately selling out everything they have and becoming their own slaves.

"Hehehehehe, with such slow power advancement, who knows when I'll ever be able to advance to a B-rank evolved human? As for an A-rank evolved human, there's no hope for me in this lifetime. Do you really want to change the world with this kind of power? Huh? Hehehehehe..."

The devil's seduction greatly disturbed Situ Mo's mind at this moment.

"Situ Mo, get ready. The annual hunting competition is just around the corner, and we won't be able to do without you, a C-level evolved human."

When they were alone together, Li Qingya was always very gentle and smiling towards Situ Mo.

Situ Mo nodded, his heart gradually calming down. He always felt very harmonious when he was with Li Qingya. Several months had passed in the blink of an eye, and the sadness of his wife and daughter's disappointment had faded. Perhaps it was time to start a new life journey in this apocalypse.

"understood."

Situ Mo nodded solemnly, constantly recalling the hunting target data for the annual meeting that Li Qingya had given him.

The Shachi Evil Rhinoceros King, with a life force of 577 and an elemental energy of 328, possesses the ability to manipulate sand and lightning. It is a gregarious rhinoceros, and is surrounded by twenty-four other Shachi Evil Rhinoceroses, each with a life force of over 50. The strongest of these rhinoceroses has a life force of 297.

No wonder the director has been frowning these days, frequently visiting the secret base to discuss something with the doctor.

Such a powerful hunting target would be too difficult for CF-2 base to handle alone. However, if we hire M base as an outside help, how should we distribute the Chaos Cores obtained?

……

a few days later.

For this annual hunting event, the Director and the Doctor, both B-level evolved humans, along with Li Qingya and Situ Mo, a total of eighteen C-level evolved humans were present. A group of elite evolved human soldiers were even dispatched with secret weapons to head towards the hunting target.

No matter how difficult it may be, for this savior plan to save evolved humans, CF-2 Base will go all out to obtain this B-grade Chaos Crystal Core with lightning attribute ripples and install it on the Psionic Void Detector!

"Situ Mo, Kang Peng, you are the two weakest C-level evolved humans here, so don't participate in the attack. Your main responsibility is to protect Li Qingya. Don't let anything go wrong. Li Qingya is not only a valuable special evolved talent of the CF-2 base, but also a precious asset to all evolved humans."

Before leaving, the director spoke solemnly to Situ Mo and another evolved human.

"Yes, Director."

"Understood, Director."

The two nodded in response. Situ Mo glanced at Kang Peng, who had a square face and skin that was almost luminous green, and looked very capable.

Looking at Li Qingya again, and recalling their tender moments last night, Situ Mo couldn't help but reveal a hint of tenderness on his lips. Without the director saying anything more, even if it meant risking everything, he would protect Li Qingya and would never let the tragedy of the past happen again!

Li Qingya also glanced at Situ Mo, noticing the slight smile on his lips, but pretended not to see it, continuing to maintain her serious and aloof goddess demeanor in front of others.

The group quickly set off. Although the progress was slow, it went very smoothly thanks to the presence of two B-level evolved humans, the director and the doctor, as well as Li Qingya, a talent with special eye function evolution.

Before nightfall, the group arrived at a place called Shahejian.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... twenty-five, Director, verification complete. There are indeed only twenty-five Shachi Evil Rhinos with a vitality of over fifty here. However, the Shachi Evil Rhinos that previously had a vitality of 297 now has a vitality of 301, which, strictly speaking, can be classified as a Class B mutant beast."

Crawling forward, Li Qingya observed the mutated rhinoceroses, ranging from three to six meters in length, on the riverbank ahead for a while before giving a confident report to the capable director. Situ Mo and Kang Peng beside her remained silent.

It's incredibly fortunate that CF-2 base has Li Qingya, a person with special evolved eye function.

"Yes, the psionic explosive bomb can deal a fatal blow to mutated beasts with a life force of less than 50. There's no need to count those lower-level Sachi Evil Rhinos."

The director nodded.

One of the secret weapons brought by the CF-2 base this time is this psionic explosive grenade!

On the other side, the doctor tightened his camouflage uniform. He was used to wearing a loose white lab coat at the secret base, so he was quite unaccustomed to wearing this tight camouflage uniform.

"It's getting dark at Tianma Mountain. If we can't take care of our objective here before nightfall, the situation is too unpredictable. Should we postpone our actions until tomorrow?"

"good……"

……

the next day.

boom!

As the psionic explosives exploded, many low-level Shachi Evil Rhinos fell to the ground. However, the battle did not go as smoothly as everyone had imagined.

"Damn it, the berserk Sand Rhino isn't reacting much to the Doctor's poisonous Ganoderma lucidum!"

Seeing the still vigorous Shachi Evil Rhinoceros King forcing the old director to retreat step by step, Li Qingya had no choice but to step forward and barely hold him off. Her face turned pale.

hum!

An arc of electricity suddenly struck a C-level evolved human named Liu Qi. This not-so-weak C-level evolved human's body crackled with electricity and then collapsed, his body charred black. At the same time, the sand beneath the feet of the Shachi Evil Rhinoceros King formed another defensive layer on its skin, enveloping its original six-meter body into a seven- or eight-meter behemoth. The immense power it unleashed was irresistible!

Meanwhile, the doctor working on brain evolution was interfering with the mental will of another, much weaker B-grade Sachi Rhinoceros, which was swaying as if it were drunk.

what……

Every now and then, an evolved human is severely injured or dies, and the situation becomes extremely precarious.

"Damn it, that Saqi Evil Rhinoceros has spotted us!"

Kang Peng, who was also responsible for protecting Li Qingya, roared. Situ Mo and Li Qingya looked over and saw a Shachi Evil Rhinoceros that had rushed down the hillside at some point. It was obviously not among the group of Shachi Evil Rhinoceroses before.

"Vitality: 198, Energy: 170, Not good!"

Li Qingya stared at the giant rhinoceros, which had already charged to within a hundred meters, her face pale. The impact of its four-meter-long and nearly two-meter-tall body was truly shocking even to evolved humans.

Situ Mo roared, "Take Li Qingya and escape first!"

However, as Situ Mo, who was trying to stop the Shachi Evil Rhinoceros, was knocked back by a head-on collision and fell to the ground, dizzy and unable to get up, he vomited stomach acid and looked back with all his might.

The giant rhinoceros was chasing Kang Peng, and Li Qingya was in imminent danger. After all, she was just an evolved human with special eye functions and a life force of only 17.

"Ah! No..."

As if the excruciating pain of losing his wife and daughter just a few months ago was still fresh in his mind, Situ Mo seemed to see the scene of Li Qingya being torn apart after Kang Peng was knocked away by a single blow.

"Hey! You bastard, get out here! Even if you're a devil, just tell me what you want. I'll agree to anything as long as you can save Li Qingya. Come out now!"

Situ Mo was nearly driven mad, his mind screaming.

"Hehehehe, this is not how a lowly microbe prays for power from a great being. However, the Great Annihilation Wizard will not care about such things, because as I said, in the next transaction I will deduct ten years of your life as an additional price to punish you for your past betrayal."

A sinister laugh from an unknown world responded to Situ Mo immediately.

"Save that female creature? According to the fair principles of the contract, I need... one of your arms as the price!"

Without even thinking, Situ Mo roared inwardly, "I agree!"

Hehehehe...

boom!

The instant Kang Peng was knocked away by the Shachi Evil Rhino, and just before Li Qingya's eyes were filled with despair, suddenly, an incredible and strange power surged from Situ Mo's left hand. The Shachi Evil Rhino that was crashing into Li Qingya let out a terrified roar and suddenly shattered into pieces.
