A Colossus rushes in at the start

Chapter 198 The Speed of Civilization's Progress is Too Fast

It is not difficult to understand why one's own civilization could develop and grow stronger, constantly expanding and growing in the universe.

As civilization grows and prospers, the entire Dire people will benefit, meaning that Micah and his student Horn will also be among the beneficiaries.

Shouldn't the price they pay be something they have to pay?

Why did he and his student Horn actually benefit?

Micah and his student Horn are now completely unable to comprehend the thought processes of these 'witches'.

Could it be that leading one's mother civilization to grow stronger and more powerful on the Witch's side is a very costly endeavor? Micah wondered to himself.

Lu Shang had no idea what the two two-dimensional beings were thinking, and he was too lazy to waste words, so he simply gave them the options.

"You have two choices: death or leading your civilization forward. Choose for yourselves."

"I choose the latter; I am willing to lead my mother civilization to develop and prosper."

Fearing the sudden return of this "Witch Demon" superior, Micah immediately explained his choice: compared to paying off all his possessions or selling his soul, leading his mother civilization to power was an incredibly good price to pay!

Lu Shang said, "You made a smart choice."

Horn, who hadn't said much until now, suddenly asked, "I have a question for you."

"You can ask, but I can't guarantee I'll answer you," Lu Shang said.

"Excuse me, are you a great god?" Horn asked.

After much thought, Horn felt that what had saved them was not some 'witch demon,' but rather their Dire people's god.

Otherwise, why would they say that the price they need to pay is to lead the entire Dir civilization to continuous development and future prospects?

Who but a god would propose such a grand vision and such a magnificent mission?

Which of those mythical witches and demons wasn't selfish and self-serving, acting solely to satisfy their own desires? How could you possibly expect them to lead the entire Dire people in continuous development and progress?

Therefore, Horn has reason to believe that what they are now in contact with is very likely a god!

However, the other party's response took Horn by surprise.

"No, there have never been gods."

……

After this contact with the Babel Tower swarm, it entered a period of dormancy. Because the giant universe was too dangerous, Lu Shang thought of supporting a puppet civilization that could be controlled by the swarm, so that the puppet civilization could provide cover for the swarm.

What?

Microscopic organisms have been discovered?

What?

Have microscopic wormholes been discovered?

It's alright, it was all done by the indigenous civilizations of this giant universe, the Dire people, it has nothing to do with our Babel beehive.

Alternatively, the bee colony can allow these Dill people to explore places that the colony cannot.

For a civilization to enter the universe, exploration and expansion are always normal and reasonable.

Regardless of whether the Dir civilization would face extinction afterward, it wouldn't be a big problem for the bee colony, since the Dir's trial balloon had already served its purpose.

Thus, based on the intervention of the Babel beehive, a super monarch, unprecedented and unparalleled, was born in the Dire civilization.

Upon assuming the throne, this monarch named Micah immediately initiated a series of technological reforms, bringing about tremendous changes to the society of the Dire people.

Rockets, jet aircraft, nuclear weapons, nuclear reactors, computers, and so on—this two-dimensional civilization, under Micah's leadership, leaped from the Renaissance stage to the Electrical Age.

All of this is due not only to the mobilization effect brought about by the high centralization of power, but also to the Babel swarm.

Through microscopic organisms, the bee colony informed Micah of the developed technology and a series of experimental processes. Micah, in his capacity as monarch, then had his subjects try it out and began to vigorously promote these technologies.

This greatly shortened the development process of the Dir civilization, which developed spaceships capable of traveling through space in about ten years.

They explored their parent star system, learned about the relationships between the major stellar stars, and made great progress in cosmology.

At the same time, they also worshipped their current monarch, "Micah," to an almost godlike degree.

More and more Dire people believe that as long as the Micah exists, their Dire civilization will continue to grow and expand without limit.

Seeing that the technology of the Dillians had been developed to a near-complete stage, Lu Shang arranged for micro-organisms to transmit a faster-than-light engine, which was being researched by bee colonies, into Micah's brain.

The principle behind this faster-than-light engine is not complicated. It involves creating a three-dimensional space and dropping it behind the spaceship. As the space falls from three dimensions to two dimensions, the two-dimensional space will inevitably stretch and expand. The expanding two-dimensional space will naturally push the spaceship forward.

It's not the spaceship that's moving; the spaceship remains stationary relative to space.

As for how to create three-dimensional space, you can use a particle accelerator to generate gravity, and then use gravity to warp spacetime, thereby creating three-dimensional space.

An electromagnetic loop is created at the rear of the spacecraft, and then iron molecules affected by the magnetic field are added. The iron molecules are continuously accelerated, and their speed increases. Eventually, due to the effects of relativism, their apparent mass will also increase, reaching the level of a black hole, thus forming a ring-shaped pseudo-black hole.

Then, the people on the spaceship reversed the magnetic field, slowing down the iron molecules moving at near the speed of light. Once the speed decreased to a certain threshold, the iron molecules in the electromagnetic loop would no longer exhibit such a strong relativistic effect, and the pseudo-black hole would disappear. However, the spacetime curved by the pseudo-black hole still existed. Thus, by taking advantage of the physical law that three-dimensional space will fall into two-dimensional space, the spaceship was pushed by space.

With the advent of such a faster-than-light engine, the Dire people's worship of Micah reached unprecedented levels. They could no longer imagine what the world would be like without Micah as their monarch.

In Micah's heart, there was also a deep-seated worship for the "god" who brought all this to the Dir people.

Even though Lu Shang denied the bee swarm's divine identity back then, Micah was willing to believe that the other party was their Dir's god. Otherwise, there was no reason to explain what was happening now. All of this was too wonderful for the Dir's people.

The first faster-than-light spaceship was quickly built, although it could only be used as a spaceship for travel within the Dire Star system because it could only create a very small area of three-dimensional space.

However, the Diremen, who had mastered the manufacture of two-dimensional faster-than-light spaceships, quickly began to build large faster-than-light spaceships capable of traversing star systems.

And all of this was observed by the microscopic beings scattered throughout the vast universe...

The bee colony is observing and waiting. When the time is right, everything will change dramatically!
